Any word on what sort of trees? We live in an apartment but I’d love something I could keep indoors! lol

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

My boyfriend works for lowes in southern california…the ones out here are little palm trees.

    • Jessica

The Lowes here in Augusta, Georgia are giving out Pine Trees….

  2. Katie

For the Kellogg’s deal: At my Kmart, they had the reusable bags there (3 characters to choose from) for you to pick up after buying 2 boxes of cereal. Plus the cereal was on sale for $1.99, so with coupons this made for a great deal. Good luck!

  3. Mandy

Anyone know what kind of tree’s Lowes will be giving away?

    • gail

Lowe’s is giving away pine saplings.

    • Jennifer

I heard it was different trees, depending on what region you live in. It is something that goes good with your climate.

      • Brianna

Just called my local Lowe’s (LV) and they said they will be regional trees according to climate.

  4. CareyG

Have you heard of Wags or anyone else doing free ink cartridge refills for earth day like they did last year?

    • Samantha

I sure hope so! I am out of ink and these coupons I keep seeing are making me sad because I can’t print it =[

  5. Amanda

I was told oak. Also, it is a baby tree, like shown in the picture!

  7. tosha

I was wondering the same thing CareyG.

  8. Amanda

It may depend on your area, I’m in Salt Lake City and was told a Blue Spruce (pine) by 2 stores, an oak by one (I think she was mistaken). So then I got curious and called San Jose CA and they said redwood, which would make sense, Paramus NJ said Pine, and Amarrilo TX said White Pine.

  9. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Yeah 🙂 I have a Starbucks and Caribou within a mile of me … may have to make it 2 cups of coffee tomorrow morning 😉 Thanks Collin!

  10. Colleen

If you have a Delta Sonic Car Wash nearby, they are offering free SuperKiss car washes for anyone with a hybrid car.

  11. Heidi

My local grocery store also had the Kelloggs bags in the aisle: one free with 2 boxes purchased. I had considered it by mail, but I really didn’t need a bag enough to pay $1.75. But for free, they were too cute to resist! I also bought a box of the new mini wheats with fruit inside (with coupon, of course) that had a Try It Free rebate, so an awesome deal all around! 🙂

  12. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I got some of the Kelloggs bags they had out last year…they are so darn cute! I am glad they have them again this year.

  13. Stephanie

I really, really want a Kellogg’s bag, but I didn’t want to pay the shipping. I have not seen these in my stores, but I also haven’t been to a grocery in a week. Has anyone seen them in Ohio? I don’t have class in the morning so I am headed out to get there when Origins opens, I could stop by the grocery.

    • Mary@4our2cents

YES Stephanie! Marc’s has them in store! Hope you have one nearby! (if you want to see more info on the Kellogg’s Bag at Marc’s or see a Match up post for Marc’s come on over to 4our2cents. Thanks!)

The Coupon WIzards site is giving away $100 to their 10,000 fan and the one that referred them is getting $250. Go to their FB page and let them know Jill Stearns sent you. Sounds easy enough!

I read on another site that the Disney store is also offering a free hat to kids who bring in 6 aluminum cans and or water bottles. So, totes for adults and hats for kids. You may want to call ahead to make sure before the kiddos get too excited. lol.

  18. isis5102

Went to Lowe’s today and they are saying the free tree is for tomorrow? Hello?????? Earth day is TODAY????

    • Jennifer

I almost made my husband go this morning. Glad I looked at the date again…..lol

  19. Kelly

I have to share my sad freebie story with Collin’s frugal followers. My husband and I went with our travel mugs to Starbucks (30 minutes away from our home) on this cold, rainy evening before our Good Friday service at church. When I presented our mugs to the barista and requested our two free cups of decaf, she smiled and said…oh we stop making decaf at noon. WHAT!!! I knew if I wanted to sleep tonight, I would not be getting a free cup of regular coffee tonight. How sad was I????? I pitifully said, thank you and sulked out the door! Oh well. The church service was awesome so it was still a great trip.
