  4. happymar

Great deal! I needed new cooking utensils so with $5.00 credit, my final cost was $5.00! Thank you so much!

  5. Brittany

Thanks! I got some of these last year and gave them out as part of my female family members’ Christmas gifts. They are great quality!

  6. Andrea

Thank You! I was able to order two medium cuttig boards for $5 shipped! Love Hip2Save!

  7. Jen Schmidt

Thanks for the heads up! There is a 2pk of cutting boards for $12, making them just $3.50 each after code and shipped, which is a great price for the large cutting boards! They are normally $10-$15 each at Target!

      What code did u use?

      That’s awesome! Congrats!

  9. Ginbread

What a great deal! I ordered 2 large cutting boards for $7. I will save one for my daughter’s college “start up stash”. Thanks so much!

  10. Keely

I had a terrible experience with Modnique. I find their customer service to be horrible, it takes forever to receive items, and my last Core Bamboo order was cancelled because they could not keep up with all the orders that came from H2S. Gonna sit this one out, but good luck to you all!

    • Modnique

Hi Keely, we are very sorry about your experience. Please please please contact us at feedback@modnique.com. We would love to make it up to you.

  11. Nikki

BEWARE!! I did this deal last time and my cutting board arrived cracked in half.. They would only take it back if I paid shipping.. I would spend more on the shipping than what I paid for the piece of junk. It’s not good quality AT ALL!! Their customer service is terrible too.

    • Modnique

Nikki, sorry about that! Please email us at feedback@modnique.com to replace your board.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Beware is Right!!!! I had the same problem, I bought a lazy susan and it was split in half. Modnique blamed it on the post office. It wasn’t there fault, the board was very thin and made very poorly. I did get a refund but I would not buy from them again. Good Luck!!!

  12. Lisa

Thanks so much for the tip!! Already have cutting boards, but got a rolling pin for $8!!

  13. Crystal

I didn’t need a cutting board, but I was able to score a pair of shorts for 5 bucks!!

    • Jill

What section did you find shorts under? These sites are so difficult to navigate on!

  14. Amy

I got the cutting boards last time they came up on a good deal, but they are NOT good. They splinter up so easily. Who wants little pieces of wood in their food!?! I didn’t put them in the dishwasher either, only hand washed. I guess I can use them for serving cheese or something, but not good for actually using as a cutting board.

  15. jess

One thing that helps when your bamboo starts to dry out is to apply mineral oil liberally (as you would do with a wooden cutting board). I give it a good coat and then prop it up on something overnight so it can really soak in.

    • Rachel

I agree! I have lots of bamboo kitchen items and this has kept them moisturized and looking like new.

  16. Priscilla

I bought the Core cutting boards last time and they are wonderful! The trick is to handwash ONLY, no dishwasher. I use them everyday with no problems!

    • Tisha

I hand washed both of mine and I still had terrible problems w/ them. The one cracked in half and the other left splinters in my chicken! =(

  17. Jen

I bought the mortar & pestle last time & it is gorgeous & functional 🙂

  18. Jennifer

I just bought the Core Bamboo Salad Hands for $7. I hope they are nice! Thanks!

  19. Maegen

My husband and I had a bad experience with Modnique last time when we tried to order from them. My husband signed up and tried to order a bamboo cutting board and then he got an email saying “your account is deactivated and your order is cancelled” because “there may have been a violation of our terms and conditions regarding our refer a friend program.” We had no idea what this meant as I’m sure we never did anything wrong! My husband sent back an email asking them not to cancel the order since he had no idea what they were talking about, and he never got a response. So, they ignored him and cancelled his order for no apparent reason. It seems like many people post stories like this whenever Collin posts about Modnique, so I’m very wary to ever shop from them again. I’m definitely not pleased with the way my husband was treated.

  20. Modnique

    Hi Maegen,

Thank you very much for your feedback. We will call a meeting today to discuss this policy. Clearly we failed to deliver a great experience. We are very sorry about that.

In the meantime, please email us at feedback@modnique.com so that we can make it up to you.

    Thank you,
    Modnique.com

  21. Heather

I had a great buying experience from Modnique, but when I bought the set of three cutting boards last time (Core)…one cracked in half after first use, and the other cracked in half after only a couple uses. This last cutting board I am treating like a baby, afraid it will go too! 😉 I followed the care instructions, but they still didn’t last long. 🙁

    • Modnique

That’s too bad… We would be happy to replace them for you. Please email us at feedback@modnique.com.

    • Tisha

I had the same problem! The one cracked right in half after the first washing and the 2nd one left splinters in my chicken! It was awful!!!

  22. meredith

how do i redeem my credit?

    • Modnique

Credit is auto-applied on the last page of checkout. Look for it on the bottom left side of the page.

  23. meredith

    nevermind.. lol

  24. robyn

I got the napkin holder, then I got asked to do a survey about them as I was checking out. If I did the survey I got 4 different magazines for a year for just 2 each. I got US, OK, Better Homes and Garden, and Everyday with Rachel Ray. I thought it was a good deal. I got the holder and 4 year long subscriptions for $13. Thanks hip to save.

  25. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Beware if your doing the refferals. They do not tell you that the credits expire in 6 months. AND the do not give you notice that they are expiring. I lost $80 in refferal credits because they didnt give me any information in this, and their CS just keeps giving me a stock response:( WIll not be shopping with them again.

    • Modnique

      Hi Robyn,

We are very sorry about this. True, credits do expire in 6 months. We do have that info on the referral page, but that is besides the point. We’ve heard a ton of feedback and all of it is highly valuable and much appreciated. Rest assured that we will address all of it.

In the meantime, please email me at feedback@modnique.com and we will make it up to you.

Anastacia, sorry for the typo in my previous message, I meant to say ‘Hi Anastacia’.

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

          thanks.. I emailed you:)

          • Modnique

Hm… I have not received the email. Do you mind forwarding it to einaras@modnique.com?

            • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

done:) Thanks again. I do think its really great that your actually on here helping.

  26. Steph

Wow, doesn’t sound too good for Modnique, does it?

  27. Rachel

I just took advantage of this offer and ordered the 2-lg cutting board pack! Had not read the reviews first so am hoping they are good. I don’t own a lot of nice cooking prep items & have wanted to try- so was excited to see the special credit offer- and free ship- $7 for 2 LG ones! I will take the advice of the mineral oil pretreat- as this is all new to me. I’m thinking positive and can’t wait for them to arrive!

  28. Tisha

I have used Core Bamboo cutting boards before and they were terrible. They left splinters in my chicken! It was horrible!! To say the least both of the cutting boards I bought went directly into the trash after that!

    • Tisha

The other one that I owned cracked in half after the first washing. And I hand washed them both. Very odd! I have 2 other ones still in their packaging that I’m afraid to even open b/c I don’t want those ones to have to get tossed as well.

  29. nicoe

I agree with all the posts about the quality of the items being very poor. I have used bamboo cutting boards for years since it’s better on my knives than any other cutting board. I always wash by hand, use mineral oil as told on instructions and never had a problem with my older bamboo cutting board. The ones from Modnique are very very low quality and I have already had 2 of the 3 (ordered the 3 pack, small medium and large) break in half. You can see that it’s just tiny peices all glued together. They are cheap so I guess you get what you pay for. In my opinion I would rather spend a little more and get something that will last.
