I checked Office Depot’s coupon policy online, it does not mention anything about adjusting manufacturer coupons down. Has anyone tried this?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Where did you find the coupons policy? I cant find it anywhere on the website.

    • Tanya

they adjusted my $1 off cpn for the .99cent post-its….it was a hassle but i think they knew i was getting agitated! 😉 but they did make it work….eventually!

  2. Lynda

good luck on getting the gift card for the paper. i did this last time is part of may and I have yet to get my gift cards.. I tried to use a coupon on a sale item before and they said I couldnot use… will try the coupon deal again as this is no out of pocket money..

  3. Samantha Booker

I get the Visa cards back all the time, but you have to keep track of them and check if it seems like it’s been too long. I love that they aren’t gift cards and can be used anywhere!

Could we price match the Sharpies at Target and use the $1 TQs from the site? If so, do you think the coupons will be adjusted down or could we possibly use one $1 coupon toward 2 Sharpies at 2/$1 ?? Haven’t price matched at Target much! 😉

    • Amy Harl

per targets coupon policy you cannot use a target coupon on a price match item they scan the target coupon first then adjust the difference of the price match so in the case you would still be paying a $1 for the sharpie you would go through the hassel of price matching and would be out your coupon.

      • Tanya

i price matched at target and also used target coupons as well as mfg with them as well. and they’ve done the price match first and then scan all the coupons at the end. I haven’t had a problem with that.

  4. macote29

Here’s an Idea why don’t you price match at Walmart and use the target coupon. Plus you will get the penny overage.

    • macote29

You could also do this with the post-it offer and any other deal that office depot is having, Walmart’s price match is better

    • Samantha Booker

I don’t think Walmart will accept competitor coupons for dollars or cents off — they must state a price. However, I will probably try to price match the post its, etc. at Walmart; thanks for the reminder! =)

Office Depot is the worst for coupons. I have yet to be able to use more than ONE coupon per purchase, they have no idea what to do and they can’t be bothered. I like the rebates but they do take forever to get to you. But using coupons is a hassle.

    • Tanya

i had a less than pleasant experience at Office Depot tonight! I don’t shop there often but went to get the post-its…a quick in and out trip turned into 10-15 mins of them wondering how they ring up this transaction…. the issue was the coupon was $1 and the price of the item was .99 cents so their system wouldn’t register it as acceptable…finally they just punched 1.98 (i purchased two pkg with two cpns) and it worked…took 2 tellers and finally the manager with the manual for the computer system!!! I’m guessing had i bought something else with it, it might not have been an issue!?!? next time, i’ll price match! AND i had to wait til a few minutes before a cashier even came to the till to ring me up! I’m glad it’s not just me that has had issues with them.

    • Tanya

I had a similar experience tonight…i purchased 2 of the post-its for .99c each…had two $1 coupons and they couldn’t figure out how to make it work since i would get money back….after about 10-15 minutes, 2 cashiers and the manager with the instruction manual for the book, they finally made it work. They adjusted the coupons to 1.98 so it would process the transaction…such a hassle and next time i’ll price match instead!

  6. Arria

Where is it in the weekly ad? I cant find it. Thanks!

  7. Debbie

Target has a 2 pack of Sharpies for $1 right now, so with the Target coupon FREE. Also, Target has the 90-sheet Post-it Super Sticky pads for $1 and there are unlimited prints on the Post-it coupon….got 10 pads for FREE along with my Sharpies.

  8. L

Wal Mart has 24pks of off-brand crayons for 19c/box right now. I was just there today and picked some up.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I checked with our Office Depot here in Foley, Al and they do not have this deal!!
      Checked on it today.

      • Erin

        Me neither

  9. kuuipo

post it label pads not ringing up 0.99. Not even printed in weekly ad but showing up on in the online ad. Big hassle but got them free (minus tax)

  10. Amy Meister

Went to Office Depot this morning- no 25 cent deals AT ALL… Not in the ad, and I asked the cahier to do a price check…not there either 🙁 I did, however score 3 packs of the Post-It pads for FREE! (With a bit of register issues, but patience and a smile goes a long way to FREE I guess!)

  11. Stacey

No 25 cent deals at our store either, wasted trip.

  12. Anymouse

Used two of these coupons at my Office Depot. Register beeped because the value of the coupon was more than the item. Clerk ended up adjusting down the price of the item in increments because she couldn’t get the coupon to work. I suggested she price the item up to $1 so the coupon would work but she did it the hard way. Oh well, cheap crayons and free post-it notes for me today!!

  13. jess

No quarter items at my store.

  14. my3munchkins

Went to my local office depot…they didn’t have post it notes on sale and said they could not find them online on sale for .99 either, can someone direct me on how to find them online–so I can show the manager? I agree with others, they are not very coupon friendly at that store. They tried telling me that if I had a coupon for the exact amount of the item I wasn’t allowed to get it for free. I asked why since it was a manufacturer’s coupon and they would be fully reimbursed. He said, well mam you are getting it for free! This was the assistant manager!! I agree smiles do go a long way. Manager was called over and he corrected the assistant manager. Thanks for all the tips and ideas!

  15. kuuiporunning

I found the post it labels on the last page of the online weekly ad. I had them pull it up on the computer while I waited. And they finally adjusted the price.

  16. Kristen

Just got home from Office Depot. Post-It labels were not on sale for $0.99. Maybe it’s not a regional sale???

    • Tanya

they weren’t on sale in our area either….until customer brought it to their attention…someone i know brought in a screen shot of the online price and by the time i went a couple days later it was posted as .99 cents.

  17. kris

Where are you in the country that you have these .25 deals? They are not to be found here in Madison. Wish I would have called first! I wasted a trip…

  18. Lynn

Just went to sterling va office depot. What a hasstle! First .99 price is only for item#251866, they had a sign for the adjusts sale price right above. Well, system did not recognize coupon nor sale price. She only let me use 1 coupon per entire order! Then had to goshow her it was on sale. She proceeded to remove all of that sale item off of the display. Then she went back to the register and changed her story and now I cannot use the coupon. I stood my ground…she said you can’t get an item for free that is usually $5.99! I asked her if they accept manufacturers coupons or not…finally got postits and 4 boxes of sale crayons for 1.05. :). Why do they poopoo on people who use coupons for deal? It’s not their sale , but office depots. I may never go there again!!

  19. Lynn

Oh I forgot to mention she is a manager!

  20. Eva Duke

I am trying to submit my rebate for the Office Depot paper and the submission form I have found states that the paper must be purchased between 07/24/2011-07/30/2011. Am I looking at the wrong form? If so, can someone please give me the link for the correct form for paper bought this week? Thanks!

    • Mary S.

I am having the same problem. I think I am going to send them an e-mail. When I asked at the store about how to get the rebate I was just told “go online” and then the person walked away.

      • Mary S.

After e-mailing back and forth with Office Depot customer service I was told I did not buy the right kind of paper so I could not get the rebate or the form. This is despite buying the paper under the signs talking about the rebate and asking the cashier if it was the correct item for the rebate and being told yes and the cashier explaining that I could get the form for the rebate by going online. I am very disappointed in their service and the store staff. I feel like I was either lied to at the store or the online customer service rep is brushing me off.
