Woohoo a great stocking stuffer for my hubby!
Thank you! This will be good for the hubby in his stocking! 🙂
And it’s only $3.00 if u have the deal bucks from the Anderson Cooper promotion!! Super cheap gift for my brother!
a cooper cnn?
What’s the Anderson Cooper promotion?
He had a code word on his talk show a few weeks ago and the first 20,000 to enter the correct code were given $10 in deal bucks. I believe Collin posted about it.
Thank you for reminding me of the CNN bonus . I had it in my account!!!So excited!!
I had the $10 in my account, so it said the deal would be $3 for me, but now that I’ve bought it, it says my credit card will be charged $13. Does anyone else’s account say that? I’m wondering if I should cancel the purchase…
Brittany – last time I used my credit it said it was charging the full amount – I called Living Social and they said they adjust the amount the next day. It all worked out fine. I wouldn’t worry about it, but if you are concerned, just give them a call. 🙂
Thanks!
Same thing happened to me. The total was $3.00 after $10 deal bucks and my CC was charged $13. Also the $10 deal bucks is gone from my account.
Just checked my account and the same thing happened to me too. I was charged $13 instead of $3. Odd because it clearly showed on the transaction page when I was ordering that I had a $10 credit. I will call them this morning. Also, my $10 deal bucks is gone from my account too..
I hate McDonald’s but my stepson loves them so this will be a treat for him for Xmas!
i missed the cooper promotion!
I just created my new account and the total went down to $8! This is a great stocking stuffer for my fiance’! Thanks Collin!
I didn’t have an account and created one…it still says 13 dollars….how did you get it to 8?
It’s not supposed to go down to $8. I think Courtney got lucky!
I thought I got lucky! It said $8 but I see now that it charged my card $13. I’m sorry for the confusion, when I bought it and even now when I look back at my Living Social account it says $8 bc I had $5 in deal bucks so I’m not sure what happened. Maybe I should call them and ask…
Ok, I’ve gotten it straightened out. I actually had this account since April and forgot I had it. So today I went in to create a new account and it just brought up my old one that I had $5 worth of deal bucks sitting in so that made the deal go down to $8. It looks like they are charging my card $13 but the transaction is still pending, once it clears she said it will reflect the deal bucks and only charge me $8. Hope that cleared any confusion up.
just got a bunch of BOGO coupons in the mail for Large sandwiches. Keep you eye out!
Bridget do u know if we can combine this offer with the bogo coupons?
I was hoping same thing, but it does state on Bogo, “cannot be combined with any other coupon offer” Im assuming the voucher is considered a coupon and not a gift card.
A good deal to pass on. With all the holiday calories, I think I will save mine for something else.
Why would anyone want to give an “artery-clogging” gift? Especially to your husband?
is anybody else looking at this and thinking, “gross”? lol! not a good way to kick off my holiday season of battling the junk food and extra pounds. 🙂 too bad it’s not on their salads and a drink! 😀
ha ha! apparently we WERE thinking the same things at the same time! LMAO!
I couldn’t agree more! I did the math based on the nutrition info on McDonald’s website. A whopping 5200 CALORIES for 5 Big Macs and 5 Large Fries. GROSSS!!!!!
If consumed in one sitting yes but I just bought this and it will take a very long time for my family to get through it but a nice thing to keep in the purse and fall back on.
Hater!
I wonder if these coupons say “Living Social” on them. This is a perfect mailman gift….mine always has a McDonalds cup in his console!
I think its great. That would last me a year. Everyonce in a while i get a craving for a bigmac. My kids love fries and we grab them everyonce in a while. Thanks for posting Collin
Everything in moderation.. these will last me a long time. Thanks Collin!
yeah I dont see the big deal… I don’t see anyone wanting to eat 5 large fries anf 5 big macs in one sitting lol. How are calories gross? I’ve never been overweight, and I enjoy Mcdonalds occasionally.
Oh, so jealous. I’m in Switzerland, and we are blessed enough to have a McDonald’s. But 1 Big Mac with a small order of fries is more than $13. (Fries do not come in size “large”…)
Is this for % free big macs and 5 free large fries? or is it the b1g1 free coupons? Thanks!
Just bought this for my hubby …great stocking stuffer as Big Macs are his favorite! While “I” have to stay away from this kinda thing (I prefer salads anyways lol) HE can eat fifty of these and never gain a pound..I hate that..its sooo unfair!
Yes! Great deal for on the go! Love the groupon.com, seizethedeal.com and livingsocial.com!
Just tried using my coupons today and my local McDonald’s would not accept them, they said the promotion begins on Monday… even though no where on the certificate does it say when the promotion starts, anyway I left hungry and wasn’t happy, I made a phone call to corporate and they are looking into it but it won’t help me this weekend.
I contacted McDonald’s Corporate and they called the store to tell them about the deal and fixed their computer glitch. They are also sending me a $5.00 gift certificate. CALL TO COMPLAIN IF YOU WERE SCREWED! They will probably send you a gift card like me.

Caution!
When we tried these we were advised these coupons provided for 50% off at the register. We were told the manager even had a special key on their register for these coupons.
So if you’ve already paid $13 for these coupons (by mail) and then are charged 50% at the register, how is this saving 50%?
Are we missing something?
I had the same thing happen today! Went in to use the coupons for the first time and was told the coupons allow for 50% off the price, so we were charged $3 for 2 big macs and $2 for 2 large fries. How did I save if I already paid half price to living social, and then the other half to McDonalds?!?! And the manager was the one ringing us up. He even had a key for it, it rang up as livingsocial bigmac.
Same thing here. 1 LIVINGSOCIAL BIG MAC 1.50 , 1 LIVINGSOCIAL LRG FRIES 1.00
That’s what I was charged. In addition I had to search for a McDonalds in the area that would accept the coupons and drove 15 miles to find one. I live within walking distance of a McDonalds but they wouldn’t accept the coupon. This is one big marketing goof up.
I would have thought that these two rather large companies could put together something of this scale correctly. I guess not.
i tried using it also today. I have 2 restaurants in a 3 block range the first one said they did not accept it at all. the second said i could only use one and it was for a half price big mac. I’m still hungry after that one Big Mac.
Same thing here. I bought a big mac for 1.5 dollars and a large fries for 1 dollar at a half price. The staff even said I couldn’t use the big mac voucher and the large fries voucher at the same time, which is opposite of what is on the certificate. Is there anything wrong with living social? How can we save 50% by buying these voucher?!
For everyone having problems this was the message posted on slickdeals:
Big Mac and Fries are FREE PER CORPORATE. If you get charged for something other than tax, CALL UP CORPORATE TO COMPLAIN. This is a glitch in their system and calling them will alert the store operator to manually change to only the taxes.

Thank you. They couldn’t have handled it any better. Definitely give them a call!
Thanks for the number. Helped me, too. Said should have been tax only, they’re working to fix the glitches, and sending me a 5.00 Gift card.
I try to redeem the coupon at McDonalds and they would not honor it and said they never heard of the deal.
Yeah, I just went today and he wanted to charge me $1.50 for a Big Mac. I said I PAID for this certificate from Living Social. It is supposed to be free. He gave it to me free.
I have no idea why they didn’t put Free on the certificate. If it said that then there wouldn’t be an issue about them wanting to $1.50
I meant to write wanting to charge $1.50
had same thing happen to me. The stote tried to charge meststing it was for a discount. I think they need to get everyone on the same page. seems like they loose alot of customers over this one… I like in n out better anyways.
Same thing happened. We went there for some fries. The manager puts it in and asks us for $2.xx. We’re like WTF? He was following some Groupon guide to enter these coupons. I haven’t heard of any Groupon/McD’s promotion. He tries to play it off by telling us it was sales tax. The register shows us that sales tax was only 35 cents. Then he’s says, “I don’t know. That’s how we’re suppose to enter it.”
They really messed up with this one. I tried to get a BIg Mac and Fries and was told ” We don’t accept them. We are a franchise, you have to go to a corporate owned McDonalds. Your best bet is one 10 miles away. They might accept them”
They might accept them? I don’t have time to run to every McDonalds to figure out which will accept these frakers. If it says McDonalds on it, then honor it. How do I know if there is even a store in my State that will accept them? There is no way to know but to keep visiting them until I find one. Never again. Not worth my time.
Okay, we had a problem and I called corporate and they are sending us a $5 arch card. She said it’s been a big problem and not at all going as they intended it. 🙂 The coupon book was only $3, so I’m pretty excited. 🙂
Same thing happened here in St. Pete, FL. We drove through, and were charged 1.00 for large fries and 1.50 for Big Mac. I already paid 13.00 for 10 “vouchers,” an average of 1.30 a voucher; so with the added amount, it was 2.30 for fries and 2.80 for the Big Mac. Plus tax. Yes, and the lady tried to say the extra amount was all for tax–I’m not that stupid!! You’re telling me that’s 50% off???? . I DON”T THINK SO!!!! This is a rip off. Never when we purchase Living Social deals, do we pay again when we go to buy the item . They should have put that in the fine print!!!! I am calling corporate McDonalds, requesting a refund from LivingSocial, and if neither of those works, call my credit card and dispute the charges. Everyone else do the same!!! I know its a small amount but its the principle if the thing!!
OK, just got off the phone with corporate–
Thanks Amanda, for the number and suggestion.
They were very nice, apologized,
said they will contact the McDonalds we went to, to correct it, and are sending us a 5.00 Gift Card.
Phew, so now I can calm down!!!
I used one of my certificates tonight and got charged $1.50!! I emailed Living Social and asked for a refund. I will call McDonalds’ corporate office in the morning. I feel like I’ve been scammed! Thoroughly agitated!
I am so happy I did not purchase these after hearing of all the issues.
Hey I posted on December 10th about my issue here is an update:
I contacted McDonald’s Corporate and they called the store to tell them about the deal and fixed their computer glitch. They are also sending me a $5.00 gift certificate. CALL TO COMPLAIN IF YOU WERE SCREWED! They will probably send you a gift card like me.

What good is a $5 Arch card going to do? I see two paths forward to satisfy the customer: 1) Living Social refunds the cost of the offer, as there is not really an offer here, or 2) McDonalds send everyone who purchased this offer a $12.50 Arch card. I have yet to see a single post on any site running threads about this “offer” where they used the coupons and paid only tax.
I was able to use these this weekend with no issues. I think that all of the Mcdonald’s just need to figure out how to enter it properly and there won’t be any issues.
Thanks. I called and they are sending me a $5 arch card too, but more importantly they said they will contact the McDonald’s franchise to have this fixed. I hope it really is fixed, soon! I’ll wait a while before I try to use any more, though.
Living Social Mc Donalds Scam!
This deal is a messed up! I purchased the deal with gives me about 50% off. When I ordered a Big Mac and Fries they charged $1.50 for the Big Mac and $1.00 for the fries. That’s 50% off at the store but I paid LIvingSocial about 50% too, so you end up paying full price. This is better known as BS!
This McBS Store (#3294) located at 265 Rt 59, Nanuet, NY 10954, Tel 845-623-1157. I cancelled my order and asked for my coupons back but Jeremy the cashier behind the counter already Ripped them in HALF.
This was on Dec 24th, 2011 @ 15:26. He said that next visit just mention his name and tell person behind the counter that it was ok. WTF?!
I emailed corporate tonight. I went to McDs about two weeks ago and had the same issue. Grr. And they weren’t very polite about me insisting they were supposed to be free. Like I was trying to cheat the system. I tried to explain that they were already ‘paid for’ through LivingSocial, but the manager walked away from me before I could finish. The cashier apologized for him. Nice. This was in Northeastern WI.
Send me coupons please
Called cooperate and they said that we were suppose to pay, then got in contact with living social and they gave me a credit, but I really just wanted the food!
Does anyone have problem with the portions? I don’t have McDonald’s too often, but I remember their fries as pretty decently portioned (like almost overflowing). I’ve used two of these coupons so far, and the fries were not filled to the top of the front edge. Kinda like a medium sized instead.
I was robbed McDonald’s still charges $1.50 with the coupon so in the long run I did not save any money. Bunch of crooks.
Went to living social… there was no mds deal?? how do i find it??
This deal was from last year, it’s not available for purchase anymore.
These are totally worthless, can’t find a McDonalds in Utah that will take them. Corporate said they had no record of any in Utah that were participating. Embarrassing to call those who got these from me to tell them not to try to use them. All the McDonalds in Utah County will be rude and refuse to accept them.
Have already used three of the Big Mac vouchers without being charged a cent, my experience today was different though. Was told it is a half off ‘coupon’, despite me telling the manager it was a voucher, not a coupon. Paid the dollar and came home to check the details, shouldn’t have been charged at all, just as I thought. Called the store and was told ‘they used to participate but don’t any more and she decided rather than lose the business she would honor it and charge me half off”. She then offered a credit for a free Big Mac for the inconvenience. I told her it was too late, they already lost the business, she should have told me at the counter they no longer participate because I would have gone to the one I usually go to.
PLEASE ALL COUPONS SEND MY ANTHONY FRAZIER P.O.BOX 4491 MONROE LA 71211. THANKS LORD
