Kingsford came out and said that they did not issue this coupon, which is why it’s been pulled. This is what it said on their FB page:
We apologize about the confusion for the earlier coupons. They were unsolicited and not covered by us.

    • Kat

      Will stores still honor them?

      • dee

Why would they? If Kingsford didn’t authorize them then they are fraudulent.

        • Nik

So we shouldn’t trust coupons.com anymore? I print from them all the time, so now how are we to know which ones are good or fake?

          • dee

I don’t know but if they are saying the coupons were unsolicited and not covered by them then the stores probably won’t get their money for the coupon. I THINK (and this is just my take because I just don’t see coupons.com putting out a fraudulent coupon) Kingsford really did authorize the coupon for a specific area and didn’t realize how easy it was for other people in other zips to acquire it. When they realized the coupon was making the charcoal free and everybody was getting it they started to panic and stopped it. Its not right that they aren’t responding to the wall posts on facebook. There are alot of people that want answers. Has anybody heard from coupons.com on the issue?

I just got back from my Kroger and they honored all 3 of mine. I got 3 bags of charcoal at $5.29 per bag, then $5.00 off coupon so they came to .29 per bag or .87 for all three bags. I didn’t know the coupons were not any good.

  9. Amanda

Can someone email me the coupon please????? Aaycox@gmail.com

    • ThriftyNotCheap

You can’t email the coupon. To print one that was emailed really would be fraudulent!

  10. Amy L.

I printed 4 of these and used them at lunch to score 4 free bags (didn’t have any probs using it) I hope they aren’t gonna “profile me” now that i used an unauthorized coupon without knowing :-/

    • Brandi

Kingsford Charcoal has now taken the post off of their Facebook page…

      • Brandi

        Oh, nevermind its still there

  11. Heather W

I’m not understanding all of you asking people to email you the coupon. Doesn’t even make sense.

  12. Toya

FYI sometimes everything don’t make sense to everyone!!!

  13. Tilla R. Ham

you cannot email the coupon because every coupon printed from coupons.com has a unique barcode and can only be redeemed once. If you make copies, or try to duplicate the unique coupons in anyway it is coupon fraud and punishable by fines and jail time. hope it makes sense!

  14. andrea

Bummer – I think they were not prepared for the response 🙁

  15. Jen

So are we allowed to use these coupons Collin posted?

    • dee

It would seem so…congratulations on acquiring one and happy shopping

  16. Brandi

Kingsford has NOW stated this on their Facebook:

    Kingsford Charcoal
Hello Kingsford fans! We’d like to clear up any confusion regarding coupons. So sorry it took us a while to get to the bottom of this mystery! Yesterday, a number of coupon offers were posted by third parties to our Facebook Wall. While we can’t verify the legitimacy of them all, we can confirm that the $5 Kingsford coupon from Coupons.com was legitimate and will be honored. Unfortunately, the link has now been taken down because all available coupons were downloaded. Please check back again for future offers and thank you for your patience and support of Kingsford!
