Does anyone know what chicken cube steak is? I have never heard that term.

I am assuming it is like beef cube steak. It is just when it has been beaten with a meat mallet.

they make chicken fried steak out of it.

it is like beef cube steak. chicken fried steak is not made with it – that is a cube steak breaded and fried like chicken.

My Dad is British and loves Sausage Rolls. They sell them at a British Bakery not far from us in Carlsbad, CA but they are around $1 a roll (but delicious!) I decided to cheat and buy a box of Puff Pastry and a couple boxes of Banquet brown and serve sausage rolls. I lined several sausages length wise along the top, and used a pizza cutter to cut the dough the length of the sausages. Then roll the strip around each sausage until it is just covering and cut (once you figure out how big to make each piece it is a lot easier and quicker!) You can make a whole or half package, or make, bake and freeze them! Yummy, quick and easy!! 🙂 Once cooled I store them in a tuppermaid container, and then zap them in the microwave when we want a quick snack/treat!

would you use chicken cube steak like regular cubed steak??

    • E

You can! In TX, we call it chicken fried chicken (the chicken version of chicken fried steak, yes I know it’s redundant!). It’s tasty! I would never eat Tyson chicken though.

I love Tysons chicken! Why won’t you eat it?? Is there something wrong with it? Ive never heard a bad review on them.

Read the Wikipedia entry on Tyson Foods, particularly the sections re Controversies. When we lived in NC, there were exposes on tv about high volume chicken ‘farming’; watching one would put you off chicken grown that way for life. I doubt Tyson is the only offender, just the biggest.
