Darn! I have three mastercards, no VISA.

  2. Kayla

Does anyone have any feedback about this rewards program? Does it cost anything? Are there any “catches”?

  3. Patricia

Is it only for credit card holders or can Debit card holders get this deal?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

This is taken directly from the FAQs: Most Visa credit and debit/check cards are eligible for participation in Visa Offers. Certain Visa cards, including corporate, purchasing and prepaid cards, are ineligible for participation.

    • Bianca

I just enrolled my debit card, no problems.

  4. hollie

Let me enroll with a Debit but no mention of the Starbucks card after enrolling

  5. Jamie

Is this legit? They spell “receive” as “recieve.” Usually something misspelled is a tip off to a rogue site…

  6. Nancy

    I am leery about this.

    • Jamie

      and it’s not htpps…

      • Kelsey

It is when you go to the enroll page.

  7. Suzy

Not worth $5 to me to have extra monitoring of my purchases.

    • susie

I completely agree! Everybody wants their nose in your business..no thanks

      • Kristen

That’s my thought too. There are enough other ways I am being tracked, I don’t need one more!

    • Renee

Great points; just handing over our credit card numbers…. don’t think so!

  8. roxy

i wouldnt feel comfortable about giving them my card number. it is a beta site. it means they are still testing it. i might be wrong, but i dont think its worth taking a chance for $5

  9. Ashley

I am wondering the same thing. Can it be used with debit cards?

  10. Jamie

Well, I sent to http://www.visa.com and it’s right there on the home page so I guess it’s OK. They should just have someone learn to check 4th grade spelling before posting something… 🙂

  11. Erica

A misspelling doesn’t always mean it’s not legit…I did marketing for a small company for awhile and if myself or someone else on our team didn’t proofread well enough a typo would pop through every once in awhile…The people who program these sites are human too.

I googled and saw it mentioned a few other places.

    • Erica

Also, I have a credit card through my bank that I never use except for overdraft protection so it will be pretty obvious if something comes through on that account. It won’t be buried under other charges.

    • Jamie

I know, but dang…can’t people use spell check? It’s hard to believe that only one person ever sees the site before it goes live. Looks very unprofessional coming from a huge company such as Visa and raises skepticism.

  12. Carol

I’m giving it a try. It was https for me. I just realized I forgot to redeem the half off depot Starbucks gift card from just over a month ago, and it expired!

    • Tarri

Isn’t this like a groupon, were you would still at least get the $2 value?

    • Ashley57

      Oh darn! That stinks.

  13. Amy Chapman

After we get the gift card I wonder if I can stop the text messages..Thats the annoying part about this promotion…I hate giving out my cell number

    • Jamie

I used my debit card and already requested the “STOP” for cell messages. I don’t think that should have an impact on whether you get the card. It didn’t say you needed to receive a certain number of messages to qualify.

      • Christine

would it be considered unenrolling if one puts STOP before actually having the promo be fulfilled as registering to receive text is one of the terms? It says we’ll receive the promo code in 1 to 2 weeks via email, but terms also states “To be eligible to receive incentives through Visa Offers, you must be enrolled in Visa Offers and in good standing at the time the incentive is to be provided or fulfilled. If you unenroll from Visa Offers, Visa is not obligated to fulfill or provide you with any incentives for which you qualified prior to unenrollment…” I get charged per text so hopefully the email will come soon so I can cancel/STOP messages.

        • carrie

          Here’s the “fine print”:
__”Yes, I agree to receive SMS text messages from Visa Offers on my enrolled mobile phone – up to 12 offers a month – plus additional service messages. Message and data rates may apply. To unenroll and stop receiving text messages at any time from Visa Offers, reply STOP to any text message or unenroll on this website. If you send a STOP text message, you agree to receive an additional text message confirming your opt-out.”

  14. Angie

I am going to pass too. Besides not wanting to give my cc #, I wonder how often they will send texts. If anyone tries this or has good experiences with it, please come back and let us know.

  15. sunkissedwendy

Hmmm I think I’m going to try this with my P&G rebate Visa I got.

    • Lauren

I just got my P&G visa card in the mail today! Can you tell me if it works for you? I’m uncomfortable giving out my own credit card number.

      • sunkissedwendy

Aww sorry for the delay responding. It did work for me! I hope you took the leap and did it 🙂

    • emalith

I tried it with my virtual visa card that I receive as rewards for completing surveys, and it worked great.

  16. Kay

I just registered but I didn’t see a message about the Starbucks card. Did you guys get one?

  17. alwaysashley03

It never asked for my address. How will I get the Starbucks card?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The Starbucks card will come via email in 1-2 weeks. 😀

  18. Crystal

This is a great rewards site I have listed all my visa cards there and have earned several rewards just by swiping my card. It’s no different that your bank rewards program its just an additional rewards program.I have been a member for over 2 plus years and no worries..

    Thanks Collin

  19. Lou

it’s stuck on “Please wait while your enrollment information is processed.”

  20. tansween@q.com

Does anybody know if we can get more than one Starbucks card if we add additional Visa cards?

    • Rajya

That’s the exact question I have too?

  21. Sunny

Tempting, but I’m going to pass as well. I sign up for tons of text coupons, but at least they are wanted… I am leery that my phone is gonna be bombarded with all these unwanted texts for stuff I don’t want/need. The potential headache isn’t worth it to me, but a good deal if you’re interested in getting such info!

  22. bobbi

Hey, I only have MC’s, but in one of the P&G promos from the past month, I think the $10 rebate program for the Special Olympics, they sent me a prepaid VISA, and guess what? It worked! I hope I get that Starbucks card in my email!!

  23. Karen

I just went to Visa Offers website, which I try to check out each month, to see if this was legit. You can go here https://usa.visa.com/personal/discounts/index.jsp?ep=vepDC|May_12|body|Explore%20all%20Visa%20Discounts and see it advertised at top left. So, I clicked on the sign up link, and it took me to Visa Offers enrollment site where it gave me this message: Thank you for your interest in Visa Offers! The Starbucks eCard Gift promotion has ended. You can still receive personalized deals with participating merchants sent by Visa Offers directly to your mobile and email by enrolling your eligible Visa card.

  24. Michelle C

Just got my email with my $5 Starbucks eGift Card…THANKS COLLIN!

  25. MelindaKayeSpence

I got the e-mail. applied the virtual “card” to my account and it appeared….later that day it shows nothing. Not even where the transaction was applied and removed. it shows like nothing took place at all….. 🙁

  26. Jill

I see Michelle C received her $5, did anyone else? I’m still waiting. 🙂

  27. Mia

I got mine the next day I signed up.

  28. Jill O.

So I called Visa Offers and found out that since I replied “stop” to the texts, that it removed me from the whole program and I won’t get the $5 Starbucks card. Sigh…. I wish it had stated that upfront. 🙂
