I received the following email from reader, Katelynn:

I live in New Hampshire and my CVS currently has pillow pals and happy nappers 75% off making happy nappers 2.49 and pillow pals 4.99! Great Christmas or birthday presents!

After receiving this email, I had my sidekick, Mary, head on over to her local CVS (since I don’t live near one anymore 🙁 ) to see what bargains she could find! She price checked various Pillow Pets (+ more) and almost all of them rang up at regular price. However, as you can see from the picture above, surprisingly the Pillow Pet Pee Wee Wiggly Pig rang up at just $0.99! Yep, $0.99! 🙂 I am not sure if this is a super regional clearance price, but may be worth checking out if you were planning to head to CVS anyways.

Let us know if you score this bargain or spot any other clearance worth mentioning.

Thanks I will have to check my cvs for this. Hopefully I find some to put away for xmas!

I doubt most people actually know the history behind xmas, most likely the reason they use it is because its quicker and easier to type or because they’re trying to be politically correct and don’t want to offend anyone. I’m not a religious person but I agree with Roger it’s Christmas, not xmas.

          • Abby

In the modern English language, which is what we use last I checked, X is considered a sign of deletion or abbrevation. As a sign of my respect, I refrain from using “xmas”. So whatever archaic correlation there may be, I hardly believe the average joe uses that as his reason for abbreviating to “x”. At the same time, those who use it, I believe, are not intending to be disrespectful either. My house will not use or say the the word “xmas,” but we aren’t gonna get our knickers in a twist about it otherwise.

since when do pple use wikipedia to educate themselves. Its like ur prof. telling u to study for the bar using cliffnotes. Wikipedia is edited by anybody dear, educate urslf. Lol

We can liken using Wikipedia to learn their information to someone who uses “text speak” and looks like they do not know how to spell or punctuate correctly. Both are something an educated person probably does not do.

            • VB

Wow so because of my comment you assume I am not educated. Sorry but your assumption was not correct.

          • Seph

I’m not sure how old you guys are but I’m a college student and there are actually a lot of graduate students and even some professors who use Wikipedia as their first source of information. Everyone knows Wikipedia can be edited by anyone but it is still a great source for finding out a bit of what you’re looking for, so that you have something to start with.

Well I say Xmas because it’s quicker to type out but also because I don’t celebrate it as an X christian. Even as one I still spelled it Xmas! This is couponing not Religion 101!

          • Nicole

Right.. lol and how many people do you really think are going to listen to you off of a couponing website about your religious beliefs and what not. Geez guys.. Thanks for the deal Collin!

            • Maria

YES. Seriously, try not to bring anything other than couponing into a coupon website. Frankly, on the internet, it’s not good to go preaching about your religion. You might offend some people.

            • Nicole

The whole point of communication is to make someone understand what you are saying. Xmas, Christmas…Potato, pota(h)to. We all understood it. Hence the reason there are different dialects of the same language. If you called a buggy a shopping cart here we’d find it amusing but wouldn’t correct you lol. Thanks for the deals collin

          • BETTY

Totally agree!!! why are people putting their panties into a knot!!! Lets get back to the DEALS!!!!

          • Lisa

Without Christ there is no Christmas or Xmas.

            • Missy

Nope, but there is still the original winter solstice 🙂

    • thelostpond

Blah, Blah, Blah (to myself). I actually forced myself to read all of the comments in the Christams Vs. Xmas section of the “hip2save coupon site”, even though I was looking for cheap pillow pets, now they are probably all sold out! Darn! 🙁
I am a sucker for OPO’s (other people opinions.)
      Happy Thursday all!

      • Molly

LOL…..I also took the time to read all of the criticism on the 1st comment, by the time I get to CVS they are probably going to be out of stock, this is a way to keep people busy reading while they go out and shop j/k just let it go people. 🙂

        • Ann

And here I sit reading all the opinions also. I would guess none of these people would use the X word without thinking of this conversation!

  2. Becky

One of the CVS stores I go to had a TON of clearance. I saw the little pillow pets across the aisle but no tag saying they were on clearance. Guess I should have checked the machine. how big are these pee wee pillow pets?

    • Elizabeth

They’re pretty small….I’d say perfect for a toddler

    • Karen

They are about 1/2 the size of the regular ones. IMO these are a much better size for little hands to tote around. Frankly, I’m a sucker for all the plush toys though haha

      • Becky

Thanks! I think they are the ones I saw at CVS yesterday. Guess I’ll be going back to check. I just want to make sure they aren’t the key chain ones.

        • Becky

My 4 year old daughter and I scanned every one at CVS. The pig and the zebra were the only ones on clearance for 2.49. We snagged them both 🙂

    • nancy

where are you located? I am in Las Vegas, NV (Wishful thinking it here lol)

      • Becky

        Surprise, AZ. Good luck!

      • leah

I’m in Vegas and it was the zebra and piggy that was 2.49 also.

      • Candice Jaehn

The pigs are priced $4.99 in Vegas! None of the other ones were on sale!

  3. rebecca

My cvs didn’t have any of the pigs and the others were $9.99.

    • Cindy

      Same with me in MI

  6. Jessica

Not on sale at my cvs in Scott depot west Virginia

    • Tim

Scott Depot huh? I’m from South Charleston. There’s 3 CVS’s around here that I go to but it seems like every store has different products lol. Scott Depot shouldn’t be too far away I’m thinking. Right after Taeys Valley right? And the pigs were not on sale here either.

  7. Lisa

$2.50 is not a bad price…I know it’s not .99 but still a good price for a birthday gift for a little one. Thanks for posting!

  8. alison

  10. cat w

I went to two different CVS locations near me (hobart, in and portage, in they’re 7min apart)….one had none on clearance. The other I managed to one pee wee pig on clearance for $2.49. I went to 2 different stores in the New Orleans metro area and they didn’t have ANY peewee pets or regular size pillow pets. Come to think of it, I don’t recall every seeing the pillow pets at our area CVS stores. They did have some Sleep Snugglers but they were regular price. 🙁

  18. christine

No Happy Napper or Pillow Pet clearance, BUT I browsed and found a few other things that were really cheap! And they didn’t have “clearance” tags hanging…just regular tags with the cheap price…so pay close attention! I got a pair of little girls rain boots for $3.25; a portable pet carrier for $3.25; a cat scratch lounger for $1.49; and a decorative 3-candle set for $2.49! SCORE!!!

  24. jlpmom

Well, I don’t have time to read all the x-mas vs. Christmas stuff. But I’d say given a choice I will say Christmas. Anyway, I went to the CVS near me and the pillow pets were not on clearance, but I did find they had a lot of electronics on sale for 75% off so I bought some IPOd speakers for the kids. Good luck ya’ll!!!!

  25. Kari

  26. Sunflower

I’m in HOUSTON,TX and they have them for $4.49! As per 2 different managers they won’t mark them lower! They use to mark lower and put all clearance items by cashier front of store. They send everything back to warehouse! Cvs donates everything!

Also, rain boots reg. $12.99 half off

  37. Debra
