I am calling the 1-800 number and opting out of the auto upload to card system first thing Monday! It would drive me crazy having the Ups on my card & not to mention how often they don’t print at all. But I still love riteaid!

All areas are going to loaded to card +UPs tomorrow but all areas can also opt out of having that happen as well.
Exactly. Check out the blog iheartriteaid, she explains it pretty well and the 1-800 number is there too. You CAN choose to receive PAPER Ups instead. HTH! 🙂
The up confirmation still prints at the bottom of the receipt and looks almost identical to how it prints now (just no barcode to scan). We have been using this for a while here in Washington and it is nice since you don’t have to keep up with the paper. And you can always log into your account and see how many ups you have on your card. The only issue I know of, is that, according to the cashiers at RA, you have to use your manufacturer coupons PRIOR to entering your phone number or else there have been problems with ups coming off before you put in your coupons which might cause the total to drop too low to use coupons. I don’t know if this problem has been fixed, but I still do it this way, just to be sure.
I work at ra and honestly I haven’t even been trained about this load2card program. It’s kinda like thrown on us. I know about as much as ya’ll do. I know the +ups are going on the card and not going to be able to use them until the next day. I guess I will find out something tomorrow when I go into work. lol
Thank God RA isn’t my only drug store. Who needs this hassle?
I’ve been in the test market and had ups loaded to my card for months…..it actually works really well. I even had a couple of instances where my rewards came off my total, but stayed on my card and came off my total the next time as well!! I called customer service to let them know and they let me keep the extra savings!! A message still prints at the bottom of your receipt letting you know exactly what has been loaded on your card and I just keep that in the rite aid section of my coupon binder so I know the expiration dates.

Quick FYI: the $2/1 stayfree coupons are 1 per person, period – annoying, but you can’t use 2 of them.
I think there’s a good deal on smaller carefree packs though. 18 ct pantiliners online price 1.59, so 2 for 2.39 after sale. Use two 0.50/1 carefree coups (these DON’T have the same odd restrictions) and pay 1.39, get back 2 UP+ = better than free.
Also free organix, with the 7/22 SS coup (regional)

On Friday morning I went to my RiteAid in Lexington, Ohio to pick up a few things, I paid with mostly Up Rewards. The store manager was the one ringing me up & asked me if I wanted to opt out of the rewards being loaded to my card. I said yes, and he turned the screen towards me so I could watch what he was doing. It took about 30 seconds. I don’t think anyone will have a problem getting printed rewards. Ask to do it BEFORE you purchase anything though.

As a member of a test market I wanted to throw in my two cents for all of you about to experience the “joy” of the new system 🙂 It was horifying at first and I was ready to hang up my Rite Aid hat. Having had a few months to get used to it though, I would say overall (once i opted out of load-to-card) I have no problems with the new system. In some ways it’s nice that the +Up’s dont activate till the next day because its not possible for someone to wipe a shelf rolling transactions anymore. I am more thoughtful about what I put on my list for Sunday morning and what I will only worry about if I get a second trip in, but that’s probably a good thing 🙂 Bottom line: Hang in there!
For the Almay deal, there is also a $3 Sept. video value Q good on Almay ‘wake up’ makeup. Looks like there are concealers, blush, and foundation that all fall into this category.

I tried the Samy fat foam hair color for the first time when it was on sale. I never color my hair myself but I figured I would try it with foam since its not that messy. It went on perfect. The color was really pretty. I got a dark cherry brown but it seems to me your a blonde. lol

I color mine now with John Freida & love it but with the chance to get these for free I am considering. My biggest concern is getting it off my skin (no matter how hard I try, some gets on my skin). How good was that aspect of this color? Again, the JF color comes right off.

Yes, you can use both coupons. It can be confusing when the store coupons say manufacturer coupon on it. An easy way to know if it’s a RiteAid coupon is to look at he barcode. If it starts with RC followed by numbers, it’s a store coupon. If it only has numbers on the barcode, it’s a manufacturer coupon.
I had printed all of my August video values not sure of the change in log in, and I noticed there is one for $1/1 Eye studio Master Drama Eyeliner or Great Lash Mascara. It should make the Maybelline deal even better.

I tried to opt out of load to card today on the online chat. I take to a person who said they took care of it but when I got to the store my up+ did not print 🙁 So not sure what good the chat is??? Anyway, I took my stuff out to my car and came back in to make a my large food purchase and the cashier did it for me on the register and they printed just fine. Now my question is…. since I have a $2, $3 and $3 UP+ already loaded to my card but now I am opted out will those UP+ automatically get used on a purchase tomorrow? I was planning to get the Profoot inserts which I would be able to use all three UP+ towards. Do I have to opt in to use them? Anyone know??
They should automatically come off on your purchase tomorrow. You don’t have to opt back in to use them, HTH =)
I just opted out too with the online chat, but she did tell me that it would take 48 hours to take effect. That may be why yours didn’t work right away. I guess I will have to wait until the end of the week to do my deals.

Strange, my video value coupon for Infusium is only $1, not $2. These are the ones that expire 9/15, right?
MIne was a dollar to but got the infusium anyway and it scanned as $2 off. I printed mine august 1st or so maybe it was fixed for those who printed it later.

I did the General Mills cereal and milk deal and it seems there is a General Mills $5 up reward when you spend $20. It printed on the bottom of my receipt. Could make for a better deal but does anyone know when it expires?

At my store, they were clueless on what to do to opt out. Not even the manager knew anything! about this new program. I ended up putting everything in my cart back since it was alot of Up rewards, and I didn’t want them stuck on my card if I can figure out a way to opt out online. Not a good day at Rite Aid.
When you say use the “in-ad” coupon, is that a Rite aid coupon or one found in ss, rp, etc. I didn’t see the ones you mentioned in the weekly circular. I appreciate any advice you can give, I’m new to this couponing business.
