If you receive oodles and oodles of holiday cards in the mail from friends and family but just don’t have enough room on your coffee table, fridge, or walls to display them all, here’s a clever idea sent in from reader Jessica below!

Hip2Save This Holiday Guest Post Submitted By Reader Jessica…

As cards come in, punch a corner on each one and added it to a metal ring with some decorative ribbon. This is a great way to display your cards for guests and family to look at! With all the great card deals coming in I thought this was an amazing idea everyone should do!

I get alot of cute cards from my relatives in Europe and here. I make christmas place mats. Using edge scissors. I cut the cards into circles. Lay them on contact paper and top with clear sticky paper. Great memories and the placemats are not only useful but conversation pieces

That’s what my neighbor used to do with christmas cards, super cute! I think I’ll start making placemats for my kids w/their bday cards.

My grandma always tapes hers on all the mirrors in her dining room so she can look at them. 🙂

I have a ceramic Santa bag that my niece made me. It’s really cute, has a handle and Santa face on the front.

you could attach cards to a wreath as they come in.

I did this with my wedding cards, except I put two holes in them and then laced the ribbon from my wedding bouquet through them, like a binding. This makes it like a book.

Love that idea! What a nice way to save them from year to year. You could do two huge rings and add some ribbons at the end, add a date for the year and done!

I made one for my son for all the cards since his birth with two large rings, but I may try to find a fun boy ribbon! Thanks for the idea 😉

    Great idea!

I hang them on the wall. I used an old vinyl, covered it in wallpaper, then glued the cards on it and used the whole in the middle of the vinyl to hang it on the wall.

We wrap garland on the open railings going up the stairs….. I wrap brown boxing string in with the garland, and use clothespins to hang all our our cards…. So excited for the holidays to arrive….

We did this last year with our Christmas cards and then used it as a daily reminder to pray for one of our friends/family members. At the dinner table we would talk about who was on the card and how we could best pray for them. The next night we would flip to the next card. Great family tradition!!

Great idea! We are going to start this as a tradition as well!

Since we rarely get snow in NC, I tape them to the windows in our eat in kitchen as they come in. It’s nice to see all the faces and sweet sentiments as we eat our meals plus they cover up the drab bare trees out back. I also think (call me crazy) that they add some small protection from the cold … if only in my heart. 🙂

I made a ribbon ladder of sorts a few years ago – it’s about 2.5’x4′. We attach it to a door or open wall space and hang the cards over each rung. It holds a ton and keeps our toddler from destroying them.
