Big Lots: Disney’s Minnie Mouse On-the-Go Stylin’ Playset Only $10 (Regularly $30+!)

The links in the post below may be affiliate links. Read the full disclosure.

Wow! If you have Big Lots nearby, you may want to head on over there as they have lots of great sales going on! So take a few minutes to browse through their ad.

Advertised on page 3 of their ad are a few different toys on sale for $10. One of the $10 toys is a Fisher-Price Disney’s Minnie Mouse On-the-Go Stylin’ Playset. Well, this seems like one heck of a price considering this same toy is going for $34.97 on Amazon. This would make a great Christmas gift or purchase now and stash in your gift closet for a future birthday present etc.

(Thanks, Misty!)

Woot! Thank you. On my way there now.

  • Karlie says:

My big lots didn’t receive this :(

    • stacy625 says:

Ditto- my store didn’t get it- nor did one close by- the manager told me when they are getting their next truck load this week though.

    • Heather says:

My store didn’t order these either, but I grabbed the ad from Big Lots (located in the front) and went to Wal-mart! I just got one price matched at Wal-mart for $10 (was $39.97 at my walmart!!). The only difference is at Wal-Mart they are called ‘Fashion Minnie Mouse’ (on the ad it says ‘Stylin’ Minnie Mouse’). I was able to point out that they are the same exact toys.. so they honored it!

    • rachel says:

walmart will price match it. i just went there and bought it for 10.00$ walmart has it for 34.97$

    • Nicole says:

My TOYSRUS priced matched this item for me.. Its regularly 39.99 there and on sale for 34.99$.. savings of 29.99 = amazing!

  • Amber says:

I wonder if this add can be used to price match at the other stores.

    • rachel says:

yes i did it at walmart

    • Shayla says:

Certainly not Toys’R’Us. I find that their price match policy is bogus!!! I called and they said they have to verify that it is a “stockable item”, and since my BL did not receive their shipment (neither did any in our city), they will not honor it. To me that sounds a little fishy that they would ever price match, even if they had the item and had sold out. Will try Walmart…fingers crossed!

    • Aletha says:

Toys R Us will not honor a price match if your Big Lots does not have it in stock. Just spent 2 hours arguing with them. I gave up and went to Walmart and had no problems getting the price match.

  • Neely says:

I went to go and get this yesterday. It wasn’t the whole set. Just the Minnie figure and a couple of accessories.

    • Kavi says:

So the ones being sold at Big Lots are different? My niece loves all things Minnie and I wanted to get this for her but would like to get the ” more complete” version. Can anyone comment on the differences between the ones sold at Walmart vs Big Lots?

    • Heather says:

They had those sets there as well, but that’s different than the one in the ad. I would go to Wal-Mart and pick it up – have them price match it to $10! I did that on my lunch break today.

  • Amber R. says:

Woo hoo! I’m going to price match these at Walmart tomorrow! Yay my daughters will be so happy, thank you Collin!

  • Mihaela says:

    Will Walmart price-match this ad?

  • 1ferfun says:

I price matched this toy at Toys R Us this morning, no problem!

    • Inga Foksha says:

How much was it at toys r us

    • Michelle M says:

Can you use a print-out of the Big Lots Ad, or do you have to have the store’s version?

      • Amber R. says:

Not sure about Toys R Us but Walmart wants the actual ad and won’t accept a print out. But in all actuallity you dont need the ad with you at all if you price match at Walmart because they dont require it. Most people just bring the ad with them just in case.

      • Heather says:

You don’t have to have the ad at Wal-mart to price match, but it is helpful. :)

    • robyn says:

i tried price matching at TRU and they flat our refused because big lots is “not a competitor” since they are a discount store. i will be calling corporate in the am and i am going to try walmart.

      • Shayla says:

I hear ya. My TRU said they have to verify that it’s a “stockable item”, which to me means they would never match Big Lots. Bogus price-matching policy. Go to Walmart, save your time =)

        • robyn says:

i just did! at walmart. because of the big price difference it triggered a supervisor approval, but she looked at the ad and approved it! so excited!

      • Aletha says:

Good luck with corporate. I was also refused a price match there and Corporate was no help.

      • Christine says:

same here. Refused pricematch stating only match stores everyday price not special weekly sale. I then looked up their policy and showed them it says weekly ad with valid dates etc and then they showed me binder that listed competitor stores for ad matching and biglots is not on the list…we’ll see if I can get to a biglots or Walmart before ad ends… If not, there’ll be other deals

  • amy says:

did I get this ad in my paper? I don’t remember seeing it and DD wants this toy for Christmas!

  • Sarah M says:

I price matched at Walmart today with no problems. It’s such a great deal especially with Christmas right around the corner.

    • Michelle M says:

Does a print-out of the ad work for price-matching at Walmart?

      • Willa says:

I have price matched at Walmart with a computer printed ad when I didn’t get one in the paper— as long as it shows the date.

        • Amber R. says:

According to their coupon policy they aren’t supposed to accept a print out of an ad. So you might get grief.

          • Anonymous says:

that is exactly what happened to me :( tried and tried but walmart managers wouldn’t allow it… and guess what? our big lots is relocating so they didn’t run a paper ad in my zipcode. I AM SUPER PISSED. I almost teared up, I was planning on buying a lot of minnie stuff anyway my daughter is obsessed. Going to see it big lots has reopened yet lol. (we don’t have a TRU in my town)

            • Anonymous says:

UPDATE: the big lots opened and? did not have it in stock BUT THEY FINALLY HAD A PAPER AD!!!! I got it and ran to walmart… then? Had to argue with cashier for about 40 min (her supervisors told her to do it but thru an asst. mgr. she refused to go off their word and said she wouldn’t do it until the mgr said yes…

the mgr? said, “I can’t believe you made me come over here I said YES especially if it is the exact same toy and you are holding the ad”

              YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY I GOT IT!

          • Michelle M says:

Thanks guys. I printed the ad and instead of trying Walmart, I did Toys R Us, and they accepted my print-out!

  • Amie says:

Very cute! Got one priced matched tonight. Excited for my lil’ Minnie-lover!

  • Sara says:

There are two Big Lots near me, and neither of them got this toy, but our Toys R Us price matched it. Woo-hoo! I just showed them the Big Lots ad on my cell phone. :)

    • Michelle M says:

My Toys R Us price-matched as well. They were a little worried about it because their price was $39.99 and they modified it to $10, so they saved my ad in case a manager questioned the match.

  • aly says:

Got this! Price matched at walmart

  • newbie says:

Do I need to go to customer service or just go through any cashier with a Big Lots ad to price match? Sorry, I’ve never tried price matching yet. Thanks

  • amy says:

I went to buy this today at Toys R Us and they would not price match. I went to the Walmart right next door and they did. DD is playing with it right now!

  • Paige Harwell says:

Could this possibly be price matched with the new target holiday price mat h deal?

  • Smile! says:

I was also able to price match at Toys R us this am – took about 15 minutes…it’s like the cashiers were afraid to give me a deal….seriously ridiculous – had like 5 people scrutinizing it but I remained calm and got my 2 sets – all in all – a wonderful deal! THANK YOU HIP 2 SAVE!

  • Beth says:

Toysrus is not very friendly by me. Ran out on my lunch break and they refused to price match. Said Biglots is not a competitor. Hoping to run by Walmart after work.

  • Tara says:

Toys r us wouldn’t do it for me, just said it was too low of a price but WalMart did no questions asked!

  • shayna says:

I just spent 45 mins at walmart trying to price match. They gave me every excuse they could think of not to match…”you need the actual paper ad” (no per the policy you don’t even need any ad, but I did have it pulled up on my phone)….”the price difference is to great” (nowhere in the policy does it have a price difference limit)…”big lots is not a competitor because they sell used stuff” (not even true lol)…then they pulled out their ad match book, which had the paper ad from big lots in it. when I asked why the ad was in there if it wasn’t a competitor they ignored the question…then said “its not the same toy cause it says stylin on the ad but fashion on the box” but obviously it is IDENTICAL to the toy in the ad picture. FINALLY after dealing with 2 store managers and standing my ground they did price match, but were extremely rude about it. Sent in a complaint to corporate, its not the first time my store has given me issues about price matching. Seems like every single time it is a hassle!

  • Ellen says:

My ad for big lots doesn’t start until 11/6 so Walmart wouldn’t price match until tomorrow they said. Do the rest of you have a different start date on your add???

  • Leah says:

I am pretty sure Big Lots misprinted. I went to my Big Lots today and under the sign it had the Minnie by herself with an outfit..no case or anything and had the description same as the paper underneath the sale sign. I was able to go to Wal-Mart to get whats actually on the ad and mine retailed for $34.97 was able to get it for $10.84 with tax.

    • Michelle M says:

I agree. I don’t think the $40 set was supposed to be $10 (probably just the doll that they’re selling), but their misprint won’t harm them as much as it will all the competitors that are price-matching the ad.

  • rachel says:

just got this priced matched at walmart normally 34.97 i like 10.00 better

  • jaded1fl says:

Our Big Lots said it was only for the doll so we took everyone’s advice and price matched at Wal-Mart for $10.00. It was priced $39.99 on sale $34.99. But paid $10.00 woooo hoooo thanks everyone for comments!!!

  • Bianca says:

Thanks for the great tips! I went to Toys R Us and got 3 of them for the price of 1! It’s Great that Toys R Us will now price match….Thanks again for the tips

  • Shanae says:

Thanks I got 3 for my nieces and daughter at Walmart! Awesome deal!

  • Rachel says:

I went to walmart today and they PRICE MATCHED!!!! Big lots was out so I tried walmart and sure enough they had two! Thank you for telling us about this amazing deal!!!!

  • dorie nichols says:

My big lots has a sign with a retraction of this. they said its just the doll. So I took the ad and pricematched at walmart. The CSM had to come do a turn key because it was such a different price, but worth the five minute wait for sure!!

  • Cathy says:

Wow!! Thanks, Collin!! Price matched at Toys R Us because Big Lots and Walmart were out of them!

  • Anisa says:

I finally had time to get a price match today at Toys r us in GA. Walmart would price match discount stores they said. Even though the add run out they still matched for me today. I showed it to them on the phone at hiptosave. Grt present for my soon to be 2 daughter who is in love with mini. Thanks Collin.
