I have done this deal in the past and I think the ad always said verbiage like this and it worked. However, YMMV, as not sure if they changed it in their system.

yes, even though the ad says $2.49, the .99 ARE indeed working!! I needed a sympathy card and grabbed one from the .99 section, and it tracked on my receipt!! Went back the next day for 2 more cards and got the $3 ECB!

My local ad said the same thing… Has anybody ever tried doing this deal on the .99 cards even if the ad said you have to purchase 3 of the cards at 2.49 or higher??

awesome off to cvs for more free cards …. my ad says cards over 1.99 each , worth a try……… Last nite i was looking @ the cvs ad for 11/18 (1st black friday sale) and it looks awesome. I am gonna get 22 items for $52.55 with no coupons minus $10/$50 cvs minus $42.00 revlon EB’s = pay .55 cents plus tax then get $52.55 in EB.. Awesome cant wait….. save your EB’s if u can till 11/18

Woohoo! Just went to my CVS to check it out and it DID work for me! So even though the ad says 2.49 or higher, it WILL print EB for purchasing 3 of the .99 cards!

The MCM gave me a Hallmark BOGO coupon, plus my CVS distributed sheets of coupons (looked like they were from the Reinventing Beauty magazine) that had a $2.50 off when you buy 3 cards coupon. Great deal!

It worked for me too. The tag in the cards section didn’t exclude the 99c ones. I was able to find cute Thanksgiving cards for 99c

Thanks! I was able to get 3 of the 99 cents cards and $3 ECB!!! I have the nicest cashiers in the two CVS stores I frequent. They are always asking me how I score great deals. I refer them to Hip2Save!
