WooHoo! Here’s a great deal for all you CVS shoppers! Now through 11/10, whenever you purchase 2 John Frieda Hair Care or Hair color products, you’ll score a $5 Ecb. Even sweeter, this deal appears to be working on the smaller travel size bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and hair spray, turning this deal into a nice money maker. Plus, no coupons are needed! Here’s the deal:

Buy 2 John Frieda Hair care or Hair color = $5 Ecb (limit 1)
Deal Scenario:
Buy 2 John Frieda Frizz-Ease Repairing Shampoo or Conditioners 1.5 oz $1.49
(You should be able to buy ANY John Frieda shampoo & conditioner travel size products)
Pay $2.98
Get back $5 Ecb
Final cost FREE + $2.02 money maker!

Please note that my sidekick Mary only purchased the 1.5 oz Frizz-Ease conditioner products at her store in Austin, TX, but I’m thinkin’ this deal should work for all shampoo & conditioner travel size items since there are no size limits mentioned in the ad for this week (NOTE – doesn’t appear to be working on the hairspray 🙁 ). Let us know if you’re able to score this same deal!

(Thanks, Coupon Crazy Mom!)

This is odd because I bought the exact 2 items on Sunday and no ECBs printed!

    • Mary

Same here. I did it Sunday and when the ECBs didn’t print. I returned them. Wonder if its regional. I’m in Texas…

      • Michelle C.

Worked for me about an hour ago! I am in Midland, Tx. 🙂

    • Crystal

I did this the other day because of the wording on the ad and bought two conditioners for $149 each. The ecb’s did not print, but I pointed out to the cashier that the ad did not exclude anything it said “any” two, so she printed the $5 and gave it to me. Same with the St.Ive’s, I bought 3 scrubs at $1.49 and the ecb’s didn’t print, so I showed her the ad and she gave me the $4 ecb’s.

  2. Tina

hmm wondering if to try this or not !@_@! I will wait for more comments

  3. roxy

Actually, no, I wasn’t. I was counting on the ‘no restriction’ thing, but no luck for me. But if its printing for some and not for others, it might be a mistake in their system, so I’m wondering if I should call them and see if they will give me the ECBs for the items purchased. I was going to return them, but I didn’t have time to go back to the store.

  4. lizette

I’m packing my hospital bag for delivery soon. It’s worth a shot since I’ll need some travel sized items in there anyway!

    • Rebeca

      Congrats! 🙂

  5. carol

I got an email for an exclusive offer, it was for a sample of jergens lotion, from john frieda at the bottom of the email it said I could get a coupon for updating my elite access profile. I did and it’s $1.50 coupon off ANY john frieda product. Yay!! I’ll try my luck with this deal later today, if nothing else I’ll still get a free travel size for free.

    • Mel

      Wow! Thanks for the tip!

    • Tarri

thanks for posting this, I missed the email and went and found it. Now to get free J Frieda and maybe ecb.

      • mabel

I also got this email and was able to print the coupon TWICE :)!! I went and bought the hairsprays @ $1.49 and used both coupons….so free…..but the ecb didn’t print. I showed my cashier the add that it did not state size restrictions…..so he manually printed the $5 ecb for me :)!!! SO $5 MONEY MAKER!!! • Dc

    • Nicole

Thank you so much for the tip!! I had completely forgotten about this coupon it makes this deal even better! Heading there now fingers crossed they have the travel sized ones.

      • Nikki

I did the Lumene deal twice Sunday but didn’t see hardly anyone posting about this great deal. (found it on another site)There was plenty of stock on the shelves when I went, which surprised me.

        • mel

the wording on the Lumene coupon changed the other day to Limit 1 Per Customer, Per Transaction. So if you didn’t print it w/out the new wording, that could be why.

  6. Dara

I just did this in Southern California this morning! Got one 1.5 oz. Frizz-Ease shampoo and one 1.5 oz. Full Repair shampoo, and got the $5 ECB. The cashier always comments (in a friendly way) on my couponing, and she gasped when she saw the ECB print. Plus, I got an additional $1 ECB for using my green tag for the 4th time!

  7. Lisa

Does Collin run the mojo website also, I’ve noticed in the am the same deals there pop up here a few hours later. If y I was thinking I could just follow mojo. I love Collin and want to stay with the site or sites that she works on

    • thelostpond

I just looked up the mojo site and when I clicked “contact us” it says Mike and Lisa. So I assume that Mike and Lisa run that one. Most sites like these have the same deals, but they also have different deals too. So I would just check them all if you didn’t want to miss anything, and if you find a deal faster check that site first, some of those first 1000 deals might have a better chance.
I personally use this site, and I use the heart wags and such for ad scans.
I don’t have time to scan a bunch of sites. I say just pick a favorite and refresh, refresh, refresh! 🙂

      • vs

Can you share the mojo website address?

        • thelostpond

          mojosavings dot com
Not sure if that is the one she was refering to but the one I found.

    • VictoriaF

I would not recommend mojosavings (Mike and Lisa’s website) at all. I used them for about a year and then switched to Collin’s website. They post a lot of fake deals, like “fAbreeze sample” and never apologize. Tons of mistakes…countless amount… and again no apology. I don’t trust them and I am so glad I found hip2save! So, be aware.

  8. Arielle

Just did this deal and it worked! I am in South Carolina, I bought the Frizz Ease shampoo and Frizz Ease conditioner and the $5 ECB did print!!! Thanks for posting this deal!!!

  9. Melissa

Did not work on the hair spray but did work on the shampoo/conditioner.

  10. Ruth

What city in Southern California ??? I want to try this deal?

    • Dara

I did it in Sherman Oaks this morning – hope it works for you, too!

      • Ruth

Yes it worked for me ….Thank you! 😉

      • glylibra

good to know it works in s. cali…thanks =)

  11. chelsea

I got the hairspray and it didn’t work. 🙁 I think it only applies to the shampoo/conditioner.

  12. Laurie

I’m in central CA and just got back from buying the travel size Frizz Ease shampoo and conditioner and 3 of the 99 cent Hallmark cards. I received a $5 and a $3 ECB back – woo hoo, what a deal 😉

    • hp

Awesome! Im in central Cali as well going to try this later!

      • Tina

I just got back from cvs here in Central Ca. also and it worked I bought 2 full repair conditioners and 2 sheer blonde shampoo and conditioner and got $5EB on each transaction. I used 2 cards tho….

        • Robin

I’m on the central coast and it worked here on a shampoo/conditioner. Cashier was impressed! Wish I had two cards!

    • Pam Townsend Green

At my CVS in SE Michigan the tag said the cards had to be $2.39 or over 🙁

      • littlebobbo

Pam- I’m by Port Huron and my ad stated the same thing but I bought 3 .99$ cards and the $3 ecb printed. HTH

    • Michelle

      What city in central CA?

    • Chrissy

Nice! I’m in Central CA too! What cities are you ladies from? I’m in Turlock/Modesto area 🙂

      • May

I’m in Stockton, must try this today!

  13. brandy

I did the shampoo and conditioner and it worked in central fl

  14. mel

man, I *just* came from CVS picking up the .99 Optimal Solutions protein/vitamin mix and my sister asked if thought the travel/trial JF would work, and I said I really didn’t think so, so she put it back. Guess we’ll try tomorrow!

  15. Sari

Bought a shampoo and conditioner, no ECB. I asked the cashier about it. She made some very snotty remarks, said I am spending under $5 and demanding they give me $5 back. I just stood there…semi stunned. In the end she forced a $5 ECB and told she will never do it again.

    • cyz

Which kind fo shampoo and conditioner did you buy? The same as picture?

    • Geena O

Just this evening the same happened with me….when I made an enquiry abt the ECB not printing for the 2 travel size Frizz ease hair sprays , the employee started yelling saying U spent $3 and U want 5 ECB….and in my case, he did not force print…I was taken aback, how could he just yell at a lady customer like that…really disappointed with CVS now…!

      • Geena O

What is with these cashiers behaving as though they own the store and this attitude towards couponers is making me re-consider couponing…. :/

      • Ana Barrientos

the hair sprays will not give you the $5…only on the shampoos or conditioners…

      • Lynn

Maybe it’s because they get tired of people yelling at them when there is a glitch in the system that doesn’t work for every customer.

      • Nikki

Genna-time to contact his district store manager. They don’t take kindly to this kind of behavior from their employees.

  16. vicky

antifrizz shampoo and conditioner worked in houston/spring tx

    • Rach

  18. jen

I just got back from Cvs and picked up 2 of the frizz ease conditioners and 3 of the .99 cards..the ad in our area stated the $3 ECB were only for $1.99 and up cards however my receipt printed both the $5 ECB for the conditioners and $3 ECB for the cards…I’m in Richmond Va…thanks for the deal!!

    • Shanna

I’m in Richmond as well! Wanted to see if it would work here….thanks Jen!

  19. Brandy

I just purchased (2) JF Frizz Ease conditioners & (3) $0.99 American Greeting Cards. Paid $5.95 (pre-tax) and received (1) $5.00 ECB for JF and (1) $3.00 ECB for the cards. Woohoo! I’m in California 🙂

    • Rebecca

      Did a similar deal in Charlotte, 1 shampoo/1 conditioner & (3) $.99 cards!
      Thanks, Collin!

    • Leng L

Brandy, whereabout in CA are you ? Hoping that you are in the bay area ?

  30. Kristen

Anyone tried this in south ms?

  31. Dianne

Worked for me in NC!! Thanks again Colin. You are the best!

  32. frugalfemme

I bought two of the JF $1.49 shampoos on Sunday. No ECB printed. Went back yesterday to point out the ad had no size restrictions and the manager at my CVS (who is very coupon friendly) said since it didn’t print, she didn’t think it was included. Any point in calling CVS customer service to ask about the ad? I held off on returning them. On another note, the three 99-cent cards did produce the $3 ECB.

    • frugalfemme

Maybe I should return and repurchase? Did anyone actually get the deal to work on Sunday?

    • Tabitha

I had the same problem at my cvs with the John Frieda and also the St. Ives/Noxzema since that also doesn’t exclude any sizes. The supervisor wouldn’t give me the ecb’s so I just didn’t buy them. When I got home I called customer service and was told I could receive them since there isn’t any size restrictions. I’ll be going back tomorrow to get them and if they still refuse I can call customer service again and they will give them to me.

    • frugalfemme

Thanks for the info about customer service Tabitha…calling them was on my to-do list but I hadn’t had a chance yet. I stopped back at CVS and had a manager ring my two shampoos up again — this time the $5 printed right out so she “refunded” the earlier purchase — guess there was a glitch in the system on Sunday. Of course I didn’t see the comments about the St. Ives until I was home — may have to try that tomorrow since I’ll be driving right by the store again lol.

  33. CoolSue

It worked in NJ for me today!! But funny thing I went to Walgreens after to enquire about the Loreal Golden Ticket, and as I was waiting for a response from the manager who had gone in the back to check on it, I enquired the BA about ant MQs she had there and sure enough she shows me some, and among them I found a $1 off any John freida hair product, no size restrictions!!! I was a bit too fast for myself in grabbing deals I thought!! Cud have made a 4$Mm by using 2 of these Qs. But I wanted to share this with fellow hipsters who cud give their local Wags a try for the Q:)) good luck

  34. Tracy

This worked for me tonight in north Florida – I got 2 of the “sheer blonde” shampoos. 🙂

  35. rn30032

I purchased the one in the middle on the pic above and got back $5 EB…also did the card deal, purchased 3 99cents cards and got back $3 EB’s even though the ad and signage clearly states card must be $2.49 or higher……thanks so much for all your great posts today

  36. Kim
