Treater Facebook App: Send Friends Free Valentine’s Cookie Treat from Panera Bread ($3 Value)

In addition to the sweet ice cream treat that you can send to your Facebook friends, you can also head over to Treater.com to send your Facebook friends a Free Valentine’s Cookie from Panera Bread ($3 Value).
Here’s what you need to do:
* Head over here and click on the blue Pick a Friend button
* You’ll then be prompted to sign in to Facebook
* Pick a Facebook friend that you want to surprise with a completely free treat
* You’ll be able to add a message and a photo if you like.
* The Treat will post to your friend’s Facebook Wall. In addition, you can also send a text message link or email link to their smartphone (which they will receive faster).
* When you are done, click the green “Send It!” Button! That’s it!
To redeem the Treat, your friend will just need to click the Treater Facebook post, text message link or email link on their smartphone. They’ll see the Treat and the message from you, and they’ll be guided through the redemption. Note that redemption must occur on a smartphone. Show the cashier the Treat Card on your phone, they’ll type in the Treat Card number as a credit card, and voila! You’ve been treated. Sweet!

From the receipt: Treat Cards do not expire. Entire value must be used in one visit. Not valid for cash back (unless required by law). Treat Cards may be redeemed at identified Treater Merchants only.

Well here’s the latest on Treater. I went to Panera to redeem it and the manager said only one other person has come in to redeem in the last 3 weeks. He said it had to be connected to a credit card (which it isn’t) so he couldn’t do anything for me. He was nice enough and gave me a free cookie for coming in anyway
