These were also available in my Nor Cal store. I was kicking myself for not bringing in my coupons.

  • Marie says:

I thought they wont take any mq’s that they have to write in a price for?

    • Jessica says:

My understanding that you cannot use any BOGO coupons at Dollar Tree.

      • Tarri says:

That is what I thought to.

        • Tarri says:

This is from Dollar Tree, so BOGO are ok to use there.

      • Bethany says:

Mine won’t take them. argh >:-(

  • Nick says:

    What size are the bags?

  • Susan says:

My coupon says “Redeemable at Walmart”.

    • Sharon says:

But, does it say “only” at Walmart. If not, use it anywhere.

    • Alicia says:

My Dollar Tree told me they can’t use it because it has a store name on it. I explained the difference between “reedemable AT” and “reedemable ONLY” and they would have now of it. I have also found these at Walmart on clearance twice in the past month and half for $0.25!!

  • AshLeigh L says:

I found them in my Local store in Hurricane, West Virginia…they had them on a large end cap display near the Candy aisle and I’m Heading back tomorrow WITH my Coupons =)

  • Carrie l says:

I got these yesterday and the lady was not very pleasant and argued the fact it Said redeemable at walmart. I had to inform her it didn’t say redeemable only at walmart. to say the least she allowed the coupon but wasn’t too happy about it.

  • bunny says:

Speaking of Dollar Tree, I went in there last week. The manager would not take my coupon for Olay soap even though what I was buying was not a trial size. She said they have a policy not to take it anymore. I told her it wasn’t online or posted on their front door, but she refused to budge. She also said they don’t take coupons for Speed Stick deodorant.

Was wondering if any other Hip2Savers have had the same issue?

Even though I was happy initially when Dollar Tree started taking coupons, I find it very difficult every time I go in. A manager always has to be called and it takes a long time for them to put the coupons in manually. I’ve called customer service in the past and they have not been helpful either. It’s no longer a good use of my time. :-(

    • C says:

I don’t even bother to use coupons at my local dollar tree anymore. they give me such a hard time about it that its totally not worth it to me.

  • tracy says:

i dont think it is worth it to use these coupons on a small bag. the big bags are what under $4? so your paying $1 for 2 small bags and it will be gone like that. its better to use it for 2 big bags

    • Erin says:

These are the big bags! 18oz…same size as at Walmart! I bought some today without my coupons, and I’m going ack with my coupons tomorrow

  • Molly says:

I was told that they do not take a coupon that does not state a dollar amount so no b1g1 coupons. I tried to do this last night.

  • paula says:

It is a BIG hassle EVERY time I try to use coupons at dollar general. I just do not bother anymore, not worth the frustration.

    • paula says:

      Meant Dollar Tree, lol

      • C says:

ITA. the last time i was there i was using a MQ for 50 cents off 2 dove candy bars … the coupon was on a tear pad right below the candy bars and cashier still gave me a hard time about it. i was only using 1 coupon too. anyways, i don’t use coupons there anymore at all. in fact, i hardly ever shop at dollar tree anymore.

        • Erin D. says:

Since they refused to honor the Q that they provided to you, you should have taken the entire Tear Pad of Qs and left the store…and used it elsewhere! :) Isn’t Justice SWEET!

  • Roxanne says:

I have used these BOGO coupons several times now at walmart, the 18 oz bags are $2.98, so a great deal

  • Patti says:

My DT will not accept BOGO, too much hassle, gave up using coupons there, they act like you’re from outer space bringing in a coupon at DT.

  • Erin says:

People! Forget about the coupon if your Dollar Tree gives you a hard time! These are the big bags (18 oz) for $1!!! Do you know how hard it is to get cereal that cheap WITH coupons now days?! You don’t even need to use coupons for this to e a good deal!

  • Susan says:

I got this deal today at my Dollar Tree in Slidell, LA. They did not give me any problem with the coupons or the fact that they were BOGO. In fact, when the manager came to help the cashier ring them up, she wanted to know where I got the coupons….said she will have hers tomorrow!

    • mel says:

Lucky you! I’m across the lake in Kenner and I stopped at DT on Williams for some containers. As I was walking in, I saw the table full off malt o meal cereal. I still had a BOGO cpn in my organizer, so I grabbed 2, got my containers and headed to ck out. The cashier flat out refused my coupon, saying they don’t take coupons for free items. I said its Buy 1 Get 1 Free and I know the policy says you take those types of coupons. She said “my manger does not allow those types of coupons” Ummm.. OK! She was so rude and snotty, I said keep your stuff.
First time ever trying to use a coupon at DT.

  • Mandy says:

Often Kroger will have these as BOGO free so it ends up being two free after coupon :D

  • Bianca says:

I found $1 bags at my local Wal-Mart last week. It was a better deal for the 12 oz for $1 than the $3 they were charging for the 18 oz.
