I did this last time, thought I won because I got and email congratulating the winners but never received the soap. So maybe I was wrong.

when I filled in the information with my email, it directed me to drugstore.com or another site to buy it for $1.00 (out of stock) nothing about entering the contest.

Half the freebies I send off for never show, does this happen to anyone else, and do you call them, I would love feedback from everyone. Thanks
I can sometimes tell which freebies are going to be scams and which ones are legit. Like the ones from companies I’ve never heard of before I figure are just phishing for info, and those usually won’t come. With reputable, well-established companies, I do much better. For example, I always get the freebies Walmart and Target give away.
I figure free is free, and if I don’t get it I only wasted the time it took for me to fill out a form. I think it’s actually kind of a sad reflection on the state of our society when I see people complaining to a company on a facebook page that they didn’t get one of the limited # of freebies that company was giving away, as if they were somehow entitled to it just by existing. I don’t waste my time on trying to get freebies, at least no more than a minute or so. Our time is precious! I also have an email address I use for freebies only, so if it gets spammed I don’t care. I learned that lesson a long time ago. 🙂
I get the best freebies by calling companies to give them feedback on their products after I use them. On occasion, full-size free products, which is so awesome!
I often don’t get the target samples I request. I’m not sure why this is… Several other prizes I’ve one from reputable companies have also never made it to my door 🙁 Not sure if it’s the USPS here or just my bad luck with not receiving items (I have a normal street address too, not a PO Box), but I’ve never actually called to complain. I have started taking screenshots when I win some of the “bigger” prizes and figure I will send it as an e-mail attachment if I am not able to claim my prize. Hope this helps.
