What a great deal, thanks! Does anyone know if American girl usually has Cyber Monday deals? I would love to take advantage of the free shipping now, but wonder if I should hold out and wait to see if something better comes along. Thanks!

They usually have good cyber Monday deals. I was just at the store in Chicago the other weekend but held out on buying very much in anticipation of cyber Monday.

I did just find a free shipping deal that doesn’t expire until 11/30. PF39358. Looks like I can check out what Cyber Monday has to offer and still get free shipping 🙂

          Cyber Monday is Dec. 2.

This doll is so expensive. My daughter wants her party here but it so expensive that her party will just be her sister and parents.

i went to a party there when i was younger, wasnt mine and it was just the little girl her mother and two other girls. It is very expensive but I am a mother now and still have my doll for my little girl

Could you have a dolly and me tea party picnic instead? Depending on your location and the time of year, maybe you could host it in a local botanical garden. I’m thinking pretty pink table cloth/picnic blanket, fancy dishes (you could probably get a variety of cut glass plates and/or tea cups at thrift stores), put the cake or cupcakes on a stand, cut kid-friendly sandwiches into shapes (hearts, flowers, butterflies, etc.). Encourage the girls coming to the party to bring their favorite doll (of any size/brand). Maybe to make it extra special (and since you’re saving so much money compared to the AG store party) you could get your daughter her first AG doll or a new party dress for hers. You could get a variety of girl and doll dress up favors (like pettiskirts and tea party hats) and crafts. (haloheaven.com has low prices and they sell doll and girl pettiskirts)

Hazy, we bought our daughters American Girl dolls before they were sold to Mattel. At that time-about 18 years ago, they were $88. My daughters are grown, but their Amercian Girl dolls have special places of honor in their homes. The dolls and accessories are beautifully made, can be repaired, and if you sew, you can actually make the clothes for a lot less!

I’m 30 and still have my childhood American Girl dolls and clothes that my five year old now loves. She and I just went to the new store here in San Francisco last week — what fun! Yes, they are expensive but the quality and detail and educational aspect (on the historical ones — the looks like me and doll of the year, eh) are unmatched.

At least one sale item isn’t listed on the “sale” page, but is priced at the sale price. If you search for the books “Just for Fun” then the Rebecca book is available at the sale price too.

Very Sad really. I can only imagine that most of us consume products that are made by people working in poor conditions that earn small wages. Just like eating at McDonald’s , I can not think of the poor animals standing in line at the slaughter house and still enjoy my Big Mac. Sounds pathetic but most of the time I try NOT to over think things as it sours my joy and I feel inept to change the big picture. Instead I try to just be grateful of the grace I have been shown. Who knows why some are born in innately better circumstances than others. I just try to help/ make changes that I can within my own small circle.

Hey, just thought I’d let you know there is also free shipping till nov.26. You can add it to this post so people will know. Codes like 179699, JOYFUL, MEMORIES give free shipping on the AG site. Or if it’s a phone order make sure to ask if you can use a free shipping code. Just enter the key code when you are in your shopping cart, on the top right hand corner. I ordered from this weeks seasons savings the two different beds and vanity and scored free shipping apart from the sale. They also had a seasons savings last week on clothes from Molly’s collection and Cecile and Marie graces.
