I would call even if it is on the list. I called last week and was told Santa would be there and then I called again tonight to confirm and was told that no one knows and they have not heard anything about it yet. So just call ahead and make sure 🙂
My walgreens will have pic with Santa on December7th from 12-4 also.

We did this last year! The free Walmart pic turned out so much better than the Mall Santa pic that we had to pay for! I’m excited 🙂
I’d love to take advantage of this & know my kids would love it. But does anyone know if they do a background check on the Santas? I read too many scary stories
The Santas at Walmart are usually just a Walmart employee in a santa suit 😉

I went to my walmart and they weren’t doing it today. No one in customer service knew anything. Finally, the manager came and said its in December. When I asked the date, she rudely said it was on the door.
Anyone done this before? I want to take my 5 month old . Its her first Christmas! 🙂

I took my son when he was 2 yrs old….(3 yrs ago in Georgia) I opted out of the free 5×7 and just used my camera so we wouldn’t have to wait around for them to print it…they were fine with it. no line. The Santa was nice (just a bit skinny with rubber black boots from the shoe dept), there was a fake fire place cardboard background. It’s walmart and free so it isn’t the best but fine for us as we didn’t have to wait in line with a 2 yr old.
We tried this last year… it was quite terrible. Check it out yourself before the kids see ‘Santa,’ because if it’s like the one I saw, the costume is terrible, Santa is not in character, may have his beard half-off and be sucking on a lollipop, and the set is just a plastic chair with a red tablecloth on it. :/
I forgot all about this! Ours had a nice little setup with a chair and presents and decorations with a sign saying when he would be there. Might stop by. My oldest is too old and my youngest firmly believes mall Santa is the “real” Santa but if we are bored it’s something to do.

Went and no one at our WalMart knew anything about it despite being on the list. Don’t bother, it’s a waste of time.
LOL… Same here Kimberly. I was so mad at them. They had no idea what I was talking abt. I called the other store that’s 30 min far and same thing. What a mess company with their advertisement. And the store I used to go to is sooooo dirty and very very messy. I stopped shopping there years ago and I go to the one that’s far and they are way better with coupons also. Not that good but at least clean and coupon friendly.

I just called the Walmart on Marsh Ln in Dallas and they have no idea what I’m talking about. This is a scam advertisement.
Not all Wal-Mart’s participate. I’ve done it three years in a row now.
My Wal-Mart has a huge poster advertising it. And there is a link you can click on to see which Wal-Mart is participating. I almost spent $30 today for my daughter to get her picture done at the mall until I walked into Wal-Mart and seen the poster. I’m excited.
Today was a great day to go! No line so my son could talk to Santa to get comfortable about taking a picture with him. This will be the first good Santa picture I’ve had of my son and Santa in 3 years! The gentleman who was dressed as Santa was AMAZING! My son wanted to go back and give him a hug!! Huge growing moment for my son…I wish I could find a way to thank him!
I had to return something quickly on the way to a 2 year olds birthday party. My 2 sons and hubby were waiting in the car. I saw Santa and his setup and was really impressed. I text my hubs and told him to bring the boys inside because there was no line, this was at 12:45pm on a Sunday.
I would imagine each store pics the Santa cause ours was great. He was in a chair and had a black sack with wrapped toys and a christmas tree next to him. It was great. I had taken my sons the day before to Peterbrook chocolatiers and while the Santa wasn’t bad, the Walmart Santa was surprisingly better and both my boy sat on his lap! If you can check him out ahead of time I suggest that as it’s probably 50/50 if he’s a good Santa or not. But don’t just assume because it’s walmart the Santa will be bad…that’s just silly. Now my only prob is that my husband brought them over to him, since I was still returning something and I’m not sure where to find the pic, he just said on there website, and is now sleeping. I didn’t think finding it would be this difficult… Can anyone help with this?
Just curious to when your photo with Santa is or is that over?
I took my 3 year old grandson. It’s free and there was no wait. You really can’t complain about that. You can always go to the mall and wait in line if you’d rather.
