Wowza! Remember that Starbucks refill tumbler promo I told you about here? Well, to refresh your memory, when you purchase a Starbucks Stainless Steel Espresso Refill Tumbler, you can then bring the tumbler into a participating Starbucks store in January 2014 and you will receive 1 FREE handcrafted espresso beverage everyday throughout the month of January (a $140 value!).

And guess what?! According to reader, Karen, these are part of the holiday clearance at Target (if you have a Starbucks inside your Target), which means you may be able to score these tumblers for only $37.50! Crazy! Check out the email I received from her:

[h2s_box]Just left a Target Starbucks where I got the Starbucks Stainless Steel Espresso Refill Tumbler for $37.50. It was under a clearance section, but it didn’t specify how much it was. When I asked the cashier even she was shocked at the price. With this 16 fl oz tumbler, you receive one free handcrafted espresso beverage every day in January 2014 when you bring the tumbler into a participating store. The total value of the tumbler is $140 (regularly priced at $75). Smokin HOT deal, right?[/h2s_box]

AND don’t forget to check out the additional holiday clearance bargains you may be able to score at Target here and here!

Think of the calories, people! Resist!

    • CB Jones

There are 3 calories in a shot of espresso.

      • mel

the espresso itself is not bad, but once you start adding sugar, cream and syrup flavoring, then the calories add up! But anyway, that’s why I love my Keurig. Don’t have to travel for my daily cup o joe! And I add to my liking.

        • Brittany

          Drink responsibly! 😉

I guess my thinking is that many people would opt for the fancy drinks to make the deal “worth it,” to get the most bang for your buck so to speak. Of course, I have zero will power and would opt for the 350 calorie pumpkin spice latte

    • Em

Caffè Americano (grande) is 15 calories if you don’t add extras. The caffeine on the other hand…

    • Katrina

A family could share a cup. Just a thought. Mom gets a couple a week. Dad gets a couple.

    • Sussie

I visit this great site looking for deals. So to read “Think of the calories, people! Resist!” really annoys me. You can be concerned with the calories you consume, and perhaps your family members. Otherwise, it’s improper (rude) to offer unsolicited advice to strangers, particularly regarding what they should/shouldn’t consume.

      • Jodi

Yikes, someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Did you ever think that people come to this site for inspirational ideas other than deals? They also don’t come to this site to read snarky comments from people like you…

        • Potato

Not to mention the elevated cortisol levels from day after day after day of high caffeine intake. Mind you high cortisol raises anxiety and worsens mood, so maybe some people should take this into consideration.

      • Melissa

Yikes is right- I think her comment was supposed to be a joke

  2. Isal

Too much is horrible for your health. I agree. Resist people!

  3. Ali

Got the January Brewed coffee tumbler for half price at Target $15

    • Leigh

I prefer the brewed coffee one. Which is it?

      • Ilyssa

You can get a Brewed Coffee Refill tumbler for $15. The Espresso Drink Refill tumbler is $37.50. They were both on sale and in stock at my store. Hope that helps!

        • Leigh

Got one! $16.01 after tax. My store had plenty of them in stock for the brewed coffee and the espresso. They’re at the Starbucks in the target, not on the shelves.

    • Barnacle

Do you know if there are any available for tea refills?? That is my vice 😉

  4. cindi

haha, i actually considered this, and then I read the comments. Thanks for the encouragement! While it is a great deal, I’ll end up with a lot less calories drinking my daily coffee at home.

    • Becky

      Ditto!

  5. Jennifer

    Sooooooooo tempting….

  6. Lauren

One grande latte or cappuccino per day isn’t horrible for your health

    • janel

agreed i like a plain nonfat lattee…delicious and full of calcium! And i only drink decaff anyway

      • Marie

I love the Starbucks App! You can build your favorite drinks and it tells you all the nutrition information! I was anticipating the worst for my drinks and was pleasantly surprised!

  7. Stacy

Its all about what you get. A non-fat cappuccino isn’t the same as a regular milk creme brulee latte with whipped cream.

  8. Hanna

Oh people it’s not that bad for you! I drink one almost daily, have lost 40 pounds in the past year and go to the gym daily! It’s my treat for keeping the weight off!! That being said I hope I can find this at my target!

    • Jessica

Lol, true! Good thing I’m training for a half ;). I’m heading across town in the hopes of scoring one tomorrow 😉

    • T Sharpe

That’s too funny. I am totally doing the same thing, the Starbucks diet plan. I’m doing Weight Watchers and have lost 20 lbs over the last 3 months by being really good all day long, but allowing myself my Starbucks drink every day as long as I am losing the weight. Starbucks is a great motivator for me. I bought this tumbler for myself to save money for the month of January and am wishing I had waited for this deal.

      • Hanna

Good job on the weight loss!! I love my “Starbucks diet plan!” 😉

    • Melissa

Totally agree! I treat myself to a tall nonfat no whip mocha almost every day and have not gained any weight but I do workout. I even read in an exercise magazine that the drink I just described can be a nice after workout drink because of the protein in the milk(go nonfat though).

  9. Lauren

You can get skinny espresso beverages if you’re worried about calories. A latte is a great way to get your dairy requirement in on the Weight Watchers program. This is a fantastic deal for people who love Starbucks!

  10. k3llyb

a daily coffee is not bad for you…but driving back and forth to Starbucks everyday? Meh. I’m sorry but gas is way too expensive (I’m in the NE where everything is pricier anyway) for a daily extra stop everyday. And no there isn’t a drive thru near me either so tack on a good 10 min wait in line too!

    • pt

      Yup!

    • janel

there is one like 3 minutes from my house if i walked. lol

      • Helen

And you can burn off a few calories on the walk over–win win!

  11. Ilyssa

Yay! I just RAN out to Target and grabbed one before they closed. I got the Espresso tumbler for $37.50. I checked the Brewed Coffee tumbler too… it was also ringing up half off at $15. An amazing deal! Thanks so much for posting this!

    • Hanna

Do you think it would be possible for them to make iced drinks in these mugs also?

      • Missy

As a Starbucks employee for many years I can tell you there are many ways to keep the calories low. Plus this cup is an averagr of $150 if you use it daily. Plus after January you still get $0.10 off each time you use.

        • Jackie

Missy…do u kno if the espresso cup work for iced espresso drinks and frappacinos?

  12. Felicia

Thanks for the post! Received $40 in gift cards for Christmas – scooted right over to Target Starbucks and snagged one, as did my daughter. Yay!

  13. Barb

I am so excited. Drove up and bought one tonight right before close. Still plenty in stock.

  14. Connie

I only have frappuchios there – so this may be a silly question…what type of drinks count as espressos – do lattes, or do they have anything like a cappuchino? -thanks for the info

    • Stacy G

I think the caramel macchiato counts as an espresso drink. They have them divided up on the Starbucks menu.

      • Connie

Thanks for the info Stacy. I think I did find the answer…it should include lattes, macchiatos, and americano. Hmmmm, now to find myself a mug:)

  15. Jenny

My Target doesn’t have a Starbucks in it but I found three of these tumblers on an end cap with some Christmas merchandise. Maybe they were returned or something. I don’t know but I am certainly not complaining. They were marked down to $9.36! It made my day!

  16. Amanda

Are these back in the Christmas section or at the Starbucks counter?

  17. liz

Anyone have any luck in the PNW?

  18. Pharmchick

If I could find it id def get it, but the only sbucks by me is the one in target so I doubt I’d get coffee enough to make it worth it. Also I wonder if it counts for stars? Prob not since it’s free I guess.

  19. Carrie33

Nope. Tri cities supply was snarffed up early today I was told.

  20. christa

I was at Target when this deal popped up on my phone. The cashier was super excited and got one for herself also. I have a Starbucks right near my home and my work so I will be using this a lot in the next month!

  21. Suzy

Walmart sells Starbucks coffee tall tumblers for $7.00 !! They had a whole bin of them. I bought some for Xmas gifts and one for myself !

  22. Me

Hi everyone. This may be off topic. But I have two $20 Shutterfly coupon codes, that is going to expire today. 12-27-13. I have no use for them and thought else might.

    DE58-BMHJ-M8RP-DE8JPP

    DE58-1128-VEBW-M4RAF4

Fine Print Code is good for a one time $20 credit towards a purchase of $20 or more (excluding tax, shipping, handling.)Your card is not redeemable for cash and cannot be combined with any other offers, discounts, promotions or credits.

    • Karen

Thank you me! I plan on using the top code right now to order a project featuring my newborn. Thank you again!

      • Karen

It was already used- thanks anyway!

    • Jodi

Oh I have one too I never ended up using…

      KE3F-3MXF-6BH2-9T6SEN
      and
      KE26-76KU-GEK7-3M0P54

Seems to work for new year’s cards also…

  23. jane

any luck finding these tumblers in Racine, WI or Oak Creek WI?

    • Connie

I checked oak creek with no luck:(
      Did u find any???

  24. Hendo

    Just workout Brittany!!

  25. Katy

I was so excited to spend my Christmas Starbucks card on the espresso tumbler I have been eyeing since Black Friday. You can imagine my shock when it came up to $37.50. I ran to another target and got one for my dad and sil who I still needed gifts for 😉

  26. julie

Anyone found these in richmond, va? Thanks!

    • julie

For those in richmond my husband said a lot at forest Ave location and I was just at the mechanicsville location and they had two espresso ones and one brew one for half off.

  27. gemini345

$37.50 for a coffee tumbler! Sorry, but I don’t think this is such a great deal.

    • Ketsy

This is a big deal for some of us Starbucks drinkers. I personally don’t go everyday but at $5 per drink, this equals 7 drinks and anything over that Im getting free in january. To someone that goes everyday, it will be paid in the first week and then 3 weeks free of coffee. Super big deal!

    • cindi

you do realize it’s not just for a tumlber but also 31 free espresso drinks right? That’s 80% off retail for those who go daily. Seems like a screaming deal to me!

  28. Tiffany

Wooop woooop the calorie police are here

  29. Shasha

Got my tumbler!! Thanks for posting! I go to Sbucks daily so this makes me feel let guilty got spending as much as I do there!

    • Bek

      Are these only at Target?

  30. jen c

Just tried in S.FL and they were full price

  31. Annie

Yay!!! I got one. The barista was shocked because there was a large sign at the register that said they were still $75. Thanks!!!

  32. Kpl

Half price in N Fl, including coffee tumblers for $15 as well as the espresso for $30 something.

  33. Brenda

annie is this at an actual starbuck location

    • Bekah

I was just told the coffee ones are atill full price at an actual Starbucks, but the barista didn’t try to ring it up.

    • Annie

It was at a target with a Starbucks inside.

  34. Sara

Went to actual Starbucks. They had the coffee tumbler but they were ringing up full price. 🙁

  35. StarbucksAddict

They are full price at actual non-target Starbucks locations and probably will be until mid-January.

  36. FPL

Can someone please scan a pic of the barcode or give me the sku#? My target has only one left with no barcode. Thank you so much.

  37. Tish

I can’t find a target with a Starbucks in ny

  38. Laurie

Are these in the Starbucks area of Target or actually in the Target store somewhere?

  39. Jenny

    SKU# 11030464
I think they would be in the Starbucks area of Target. That is where they kept them when they were regularly priced. The Target I found mine in didn’t even have a Starbucks so they were just with the Christmas mark-downs. That is why I think they might have been returned or something.

    • FPL

Thank you so much for your help.

  40. Claudia

Great deal! I picked one up today at my Target/Starbucks. The barista cautioned me about the price. With a sly smile I told him to scan the price. He was shocked- wants one for himself now. Thanks for the tip. Perfect gift for my 20 year old nephew.

  41. Scarlett

Scored one espresso and one brewed for my mom! Sweet deal!

  42. Kris

Anyone in vegas find these? I went to a couple targets in henderson/old town last night with no luck 🙁

  43. Supermodel7

I bought this for $65 a few wks back from starbucks.com. To everyone else who did the same, have u reached out to Starbucks to get a price adjustment? If yes, what was their response?

    • Jessica

I bought it on Black Friday too. I finally found it at Target Starbucks yesterday. My plan is to return the new one that I bought to Starbucks with the receipt. Shouldn’t be a problem. These are still $75 in the Starbucks that I’ve seen. Unfortunately I did buy some holiday cold cup straws that are grande & I can’t find the venti ones anywhere & the barista didn’t give me my receipt when I bought them.

Has anyone else had problems with their clear acrylic cold cup? My first one my husband washed it with a sponge & he had must have used the scratchy side & he scratched up the cup. Then I got a new one & I lifted it up to take a drink & the bottom side tapped the computer desk & the cup cracked the day after I got it. I’m on my third cup now. I’ve heard that the lid can crack after a few months? I’m loving the looks of this cup, but wishing that it was more durable.

  44. Swcouponclipper

They are 75 % off in Houston target $22.50. Just got two at weatheimer and fondren

    • Cassie

Were there many there? My SIL lives there & maybe I could get her to pick me one up, but hate to send her out looking for them. There are none where I live. Checked every location.

    • Angelina

Can u get me one and mail to me

    • Ayisha

Could you get one for me and mail it? I would reimburse shipping and gas via paypal. Thanks for considering!

    • Ayisha

Oh, and my email address is ayishan at gmail.com, if you are considering. Thanks!
