Will the rebate be in the form of a Visa card or check?

    • Laura

It’s usually a staples credit. Unless stated otherwise.

    • JulianFaux

      Moly,
Staples Easy Rebates come in the form of a Visa gift card that you can use anywhere Visa cards are accepted! HTH!

    • Alison

Hi Moly, I did this deal recently, and the rebate came as a check. I think it depends on the amount of the rebate. Someone said before that under $20 will be a check and over $20 will be a visa prepaid card.

      • Peter

I’ve been doing staples rebates for over a year. The check or visa card depends on the item purchased. Single reams, pencils, pens, etc, are checks, while bigger items like anti-virus software, photo paper, 5 ream or 10 ream cases, are visa cards. I highly encourage doing these rebates. I have never had a problem with getting them.

Is this good in store only?

      • Anna

I haven’t done a rebate in awhile, but I believe you used to be able to change the rebate format while submitting the rebate. It will automatically show as what is being advertised, check or card, but I could change it to my preference. This may have changed, but watch for this option if you prefer a check or visa card

      • bargainhunter

Alison is correct except the qualifying rebate offer amount is $10. Less than $10 and you get a check otherwise you get the Visa card. Quantity purchased does not matter.

Is there a good deal on construction paper?

  3. nic

If I use staples rewards to purchase the paper, will I still get the full rebate amount back?

    • Heather C.

      Yes

    • Coupon Kathy (@couponkathy)

NO!!! They have changed this. Trust me, I learned the hard way, lol You will only get back what you actually paid, if you buy with rewards, so do separate transaction if redeeming rewards.

  4. Maria

    Is this good online?

    • Julie

      Nope…valid in-store only

  5. Julee

I’m confused as to why it would be free. Someone help me.
    It’s 7.49-$4=3.49 so you submit it for a $3 rebate. wouldn’t it be .49?

    • Julie

With the printed coupon, the register will reduce the price of the paper to $4.79. You then submit the $4.79 rebate to make the item free. Without the coupon, the paper will ring up as $7.79

      • Julee

        thank you!

        • Julie

          🙂

I get my rebates as a direct deposit to my paypal account.?

    • bargainhunter

      Discontinued as of Nov 2013.

      • Karen

I used to get mine this way. Had no idea discontinued. I was just looking at the rebate rules on the site and for the visa card it says after 6 months a 3. monthly service fee applies.

  7. bargainhunter

For the Hammermill copy paper, the only rebate payment option is a check.
