I was just about to send this to you. Now I can check out! LOL

  2. Michelle

So everyone is begging for special codes yesterday and now today everyone gets 40% off?! Weird…

    • Karen

      lol…..

    • Hilary

They raised the prices on most things from yesterday but some things are definitely cheaper today with the 40% off instead of 20% 🙂

      • Karen

The particular items I was going to buy yesterday are the same prices today……yay!

    • Jessica

But the prices also went way up .. for example Collin posted the zip-up sherpa hoodie yesterday at $6.—after the discount and free shipping but today with the 40% its $10.– and CP isn’t even advertising the free shipping so most people won’t even know about it.

There are still some deals to be had, if the free shipping takes but it’s a shame they jack their prices up to make it seem like you’re getting awesome deals on everything.

      • Ashley

Yes, I had a couple clearance items in my cart from yesterday and the prices went up on them. It was cheaper to get them yesterday at 20% off than today at 40%.

      • A

I have seen Kohls do the same thing… You have to watch them.

    • SFJ

The children’s place is ALWAYS having some sort of sale.

      • J

        True!!!!

    • Lolita

I know lol, I had a 30% off and placed a big order yesterday, and was ticked when I saw the 40% off today. I went and looked at a dress I had ordered (2 of them) and they had upped the price! I guess other than the jeans and t-shirts I ordered (those are cheaper today by $1 jeans and by 50 cents shirts), it wasn’t that big a difference. Blah, they are beginning to annoy me with their price fluctuations and multiple emails Yesterday evening, 3rd of fourth email of the day: ‘Don’t miss out, this is your last chance!!!’ and then this morning ‘If you ignored us and decided to miss out, you can get it cheaper today!!!’ (paraphrasing 😉 )

I’m having trouble finding out where to put the free shipping code when paying with paypal. Does anyone know? Thanks!

    • Jenn

You enter the freeship on the same page as your credit card info. It will ask there if you have another code. HTH. 🙂

      • linda

Thanks. Unfortunately I thought I was going to get another screen and ended up submitting my order which charged the $5. They won’t let you cancel after it has been processed, which seems to occur immediately. I called CP and was on hold for like 15 minutes before I spoke to someone. They couldn’t cancel my order or apply the free shipping code but they did give me a code for a future order.

        • Pinky

Erg same as me. Only because I use paypal I never had the option for free shipping. I did not get a code after my phone call but oh well. I told them there website is a hassle and she agreed and said she though so too and they are sending on the comments.

    • Liz

Just before you click for paypal

    • Dawn

I had to chose to “edit” my billing address to enter the second code after paying with Paypal.

  5. yuliya

i don’t seewhere to enter freeship code! Help

    • Liz

Thnx! Got a pair of pants for my Kindergartener, two shirts and two pairs of sunglasses for sixteen bucks shipped! 🙂

  8. Nessa

Thanks so much just order some jeans for my 9 year old son! Thanks for all the awesome deals you bring us every day 🙂

  9. Leslie

I have never purchased clothing from here. My son wears a size 8, are they pretty true to size? Thank you for any help!

    • C

If you need them now order a size 8…. I would suggest going up a size if they’re for next ( school) year. You can always return them in store if they don’t fit.

      • Amanda

Unless they say “web exclusive”, then you have to mail them back to return them. I try to avoid those items.

        • C

None of the jeans are web exclusives

    • Carrie

It depends what brand he usually wears. Compared to Sears Canyon River Blues, I feel they are a size smaller.

    • Leslie

Thank you so much for all your help! I grabbed a size 8. Hopefully they will fit, he is in 1st grade and tall, we have a hard time finding stuff to fit. I usually go in stores, but this is a really great deal. I will just buy with the expectation of having to return, then I won’t be disappointed 🙂

I am so excited to snag some jeans for my 5 year old!!

  11. Sharon

To get the free shipping, enter you address and such then wait for the billing screen to come up(its the next screen that will pop up) then fill in the free shipping code. It works I just used it.

  12. Ali

beware, some items are “online exclusives” and only when you click more detail, do you see that those items can only be returned by mail. i hate that. I like to order multiple sizes and return at the store. to me, return by mail, might as well be final sale b/c i am not going to pay the shipping back after i got free shipping in the first place!

    • Ann Dee

      Yep! I agree.

  13. amy

I went on saturday to the children place store and they had really good prices. Pjs for $1.99 for babies and sweaters and long sleeves for $1.99 for toddlers as well. Plus I had coupon for 20% off on top of that. So I got 4 pjs and a sweater and 5 long sleeve shirts for $16 and change. I’m hoping to go back to see if they lowered some prices.

    • Ann Dee

Definitely worth buying stuff IN STORE as the sales are always better. $6 jeans is the cheapest I’ve seen in a year online AND in store so might be a stock up time for now and next year.

      • Dawn

I’ve found a lot of better sales online (sometimes in the store though). A clerk told me once that it was cheaper online. I way eyeing a vest that was $19 in the store and came home yesterday to check it out and it was $13. So I do think sometimes the sales are better online.

  14. J

Can get socks for $1.20 a pair when you buy 3 after codes. My kiddos much prefer CP socks to other brands so this was a good deal for me!

  15. Ashli

The site keeps going down for me.

  16. Lisa

I ordered everything I’ve been waiting to order! Easter shirts, ties, sunglasses, Lego movie shirts, and shorts! Thank you for sharing!

  17. Ali

    cheaper than yesterday!!

  18. CJ

A little off topic but how do you keep your kids from ripping holes in the knees of their jeans? I bought my 5 yr old son several pairs of CP jeans when they were on sale previously & just this winter he’s managed to rip holes in the knees of all 4 pairs. I have 3 boys so I’m wondering how I’ll afford pants for them at this rate! It happens playing outside after school. Is there a trick I should know for avoiding this? Do certain brands hold up better? Or do I just need to start a jeans savings account? 🙂

    • J

My kids have school/going places jeans and then play jeans…..when they get home the good jeans come off and they put on play jeans or sweats!! Boys are rough on clothes I know!!

      • C

        Hi CJ,
I have 3 boys as well. I like the old navy jeans. They wear much better than Children’s place. Also, as soon as they get home from school or any other place they wear nice clothes to, they change into play clothes. This way they avoid getting holes in their knees.

    • Amanda

My dad always sews in thick patched behind the knees and said that works pretty well.

    • Karen

One thing I have found that helps…..buy the dark jeans. I think the lighter jeans are chemically treated to be lightened making the material a little weaker? May not be true, but that is what I have found to be the case…..?

      • megan

i usually buy my boy darker jeans, and I have a few pair from TCP and they ALL have holes in them, right at the knees.. 🙁

    • Mindy

My boys do the same thing. I would put one of those iron on patches and they would wear holes around them. So I started buying the really big patches that will cover the whole knee and putting them in when I first buy the pants so they are a little thicker in the knee. So far so good. Maybe try that?

      • linda

Someone just suggested the patching when new idea to me last week and I thought it was brilliant! My son has also put holes in the knees of 4 pairs of CP place jeans in the last 2 months.

    • CJ

He goes to an after school program where he’s playing outside otherwise I’d have him change his pants but I’ll definitely look into the patches. His dark pair is the one that has yet to rip but he’s also worn them less since they’re ‘dressier’. Thanks for the tips everyone!

    • Samantha

Hit up thrift stores, yardsales, swap sites, Walmart etc for cheap play clothes. Facebook usually has local groups with used stuff. I have 2 boys 22 months apart and 1 size apart. If they are home they wear sweats or play clothes. Nice stuff is for public only. ESP since the clothes have to last through 2 kids.

    • Tammi

With three boys we’ve been successful passing down clothes for many years now until just recently. Now my almost 8 and 6 year old boys are tearing holes every week in their clothes and it’s frustrating for sure. I definitely have started “play clothes”. Out of all their jeans we have some dark colored Old Navy ones that still don’t have holes in them so for us that brand has been the best. Oshkosh and even Children’s place haven’t held up as well, but for $6 shipped that’s a great deal on a new pair of jeans so I still ordered some.

      • cheapcheap goes the mommy

CJ, i do believe the quality has gone down in their jeans, I have had to replace 4 pair in a month now of Childrens place, getting aggrevated, its not just the knees, one pair of jeans came apart at the seam on the side, I don’t like buying new clothes then having to resew them, their construction design has a slight flaw..they are not sergging the seams together they are doing the seams seperate and the only thing holding them together is a 3 inch stitch..after this month…I may have to switch brands

  19. Jamie

The link took me to their new app.. and won’t let me add anything to my cart. It says I’m logged in somewhere else. What the heck?

    • Jean

Try using a different browser. I had to use Chrome instead of Firefox to order yesterday.

    • Carrie

I received the same message when trying to view my cart, even though it shows I’m logged in. Tried two browers already. My cart shows two items but when I try to check out it shows no items. When I try to add a non-sale item it is fine. So it looks like it is happening when the items are out of stock.

  20. karie

Thanks for posting this, Collin! I just picked up 6 pair of jeans (3 in my daughter’s current size and 3 for next year, in the next size up) and 2 long sleeved shirts for next school year, all for 42.55 including tax with free shipping! Awesome deal! 🙂

    • Sonal

Where to apply the free shipping code? And my free shipping code doesn’t seem to be working or I am applying at wrong place. Can you please guide and also if you can help with free shipping code.

  21. Suri

Can I use two codes when ordering?

    • Carrie

Do you mean the 40 off and shipping code? They can be used together.

  22. Kari

I got a confirmation email and then another email saying that my order had been cancelled!! WTH?? On hold with them now.

  23. jana

when i enter the code it give me this message”The user does not have the authority to run this command “AjaxPromotionCodeManage”.”
    does anyone have this problem?

  24. Aleshia

Every time I enter the freeship code I get this code is not applicable? I’m positive that I am entering it in the right area

    • Aleshia

Also, I should have free ship anyhow bc my subtotal before taxes and shipping fees my total is 78. At the top it says free ship on all orders over 75$, so I should still be getting free shipping, but it isn’t taking it off.

      • carrie

I had problems too, but keep going back to previous screen and then trying again. I know youre not using codes, but I was eventually able to use all codes.

  25. Ciera Eisenbeiss

I got an email with a 20% off shopping pass too but it will not take my code??

  26. Katherine

Oops… I should have bought yesterday but got busy and forgot. Prices are higher and even with the 40% off still not as good as yesterday. CP does this all the time. No complaints—I am sure they will have something even better tomorrow! 🙂

  27. A

yay I got 4 pairs of underwear, a polo shirt and a pair of jeans for my 3 year old for $18 shipped!!! Thanks!!

  28. Tanique E

Seems like there are still glitches in their new site. We just may see this same sale tmrw as a result of issues.

  29. Liz

I used Paypal. However, at the payment process, it said “TEST FREE SHIPPING (FREESHIP) This code is not applicable”. I don’t understand, but they did not charge me for shipping.

  30. Lauren

40% off code I received in my email says it’s no longer valid. And when I try to log in to myplace rewards it says I’m not a member. Always issues with this site.

  31. Loretta

I can’t submit my order…it always says, “You have an invalid shipping setting, go back to shipping page and set it again.” so I hit back, select the only shipping option they have, but always get the same message when I proceed. What can I do??

  32. Teri

Anyone in Hawaii have sucess with the freeship? I’m not getting the free shipping via USPS to Hawaii that I usually get. It’s giving me rush/express options only. Don’t know if it’s a glitch with the new mobile site or if they did away with free shipping to Hawaii. Also the ‘freeship’ code gives me an error message of ‘test free shipping not applicable’ as well.

  33. Veronica Resendiz

FreeShip code doesn’t seem to be working. I’m entering it in the “payment” stage under “have a coupon code?” Am I doing something wrong?

    • Tina E

It it working for me either. I placed an order earlier and it worked but now it doesn’t 🙁

  34. Tina E

    oops,,,sorry about the typo

  35. Stacey

Can anyone tell me the free shipping code? I don’t see it in this post anymore. Thanks!

  36. Chelle C

I can not get the freeship to work now either but I saw it working earlier 🙁

  37. Rachel

I can’t get any codes to work. It says they’re all invalid.
