Can you explain why this is? We usually use the “Diamond Crystals” brand solar salt crystals, but I just did some research about the difference between solar salt and pellets, and what I read indicated solar salt has more insoluable material than pellets. That would make me think the pellets are actually better, as less unusable material would be left behind. Though I certainly don’t want to damage my softener system!
Figures. Lol! I just got home from picking up 5 bags at $6 a pop but 50lb bags. Not sure if my hubby would use the pellets. He prefers the crystals. Great deal tho!
We’ve used pellets for 4 years and so did the former homeowners for 8. The water softener is 12 years old and works fine.
