Just be aware that if your kids have big heads (mine apparently do), the Leapfrog headphones are terrible. My 3 year old can use them still, but not my 5 year old.
Oh, and they still have a princess one.
My kids are 5 and 6 and love the headphones! The use them with other devices as well.

I wish my son liked his more… Even after getting new games he still doesn’t play with it. He much prefers the learning games on android devices. What would be cool is if leap frog came up with a way to play on other devices besides their own.
My daughter doesn’t even tough hers. She LOVES the Kindle! She amazes me how she knows exactly how to navigate, find games etc. Her Leap Frog is a dust collector now.
Just ordered one for my son who will be 3. We don’t have Kindles or iPads so I feel like he’ll love this! Question though…anyone ever buy cartridges from eBay?
I have bought cartridges from ebay and never had a problem. I just always make sure to look at seller feedback before making any ebay purchases.

The Leapster Explorer games work but not the old games for the leapster 1 or 2.

My four year old son loves his Leap Pad! He’s had it since his third birthday and plays on it daily. He has learned so much from the games. Some benefits to these games are that the directions are all read out loud to the children and there are multiple levels to many games, depending on your child’s age. You can buy a discounted app card on Amazon and get apps on sale on the Leapfrog App Store, making for a doubly good deal.
The crayola bundle and barbie bundle are $49 at Walmart. Just got one of each.
