Unrelated to this specific post, but I have an Up Rewards question. I earned $10 in Up Rewards yesterday ($3, $3, $2, $2) and have a couple deals I would like to do. What happens if my total is less than $10? Does it use up only the rewards that apply to the purchase amount or would it burn through part of another Reward? For ex if my total was $9 would it burn through all my rewards trying to cover the entire total or would it leave the last reward untouched?

No, it would just use the $3 $3 $2 = $8 and you would still have $2 left. It doesn’t do partial amounts.

if you have a $9 purchase, the most ups that will apply is $8. If you have manuf coupons though, i have read conflicting posts. I have read that some people have had their ups applied first and the register would not take the manuf coupons. For me personally, the manuf & rite aid coupons have applied first then ups. So using your example of a $9 purchase and i have $4 in manuf coupons, then only $5 in ups would be deducted.
You could always tell the cashier you want to opt out of the load to card option and they will print on your receipt your next purchase. you will just have to remember to use the loaded ups! Another option is if you have a smartphone, download the rite aid app. then you can uncheck the ups you don’t want to apply when you check out.

I was just at Rite Aid… My total was 9.98… Did not get the up reward because according to them it has to be exactly or over 10.00…. called corporate and they said the same thing…. they dont have a 98% rule…. They also did this to me for the spin brush reward… the spin brush was 9.98 and the deal was spend 10 get a 4 up reward… i was 2 pennies shy… corporate told me i needed to spend that 2 pennies to get it…lol… I dont shop Rite Aid much anymore and NEVER do the “spend this amount get this amount”….

You always have to spend the required amount in riteaid. The 98% rule applies at cvs. Hope that helps

Yeah, CVS is the only store that you can be short a few cents for a spend deal. I know Collin does a nice job of deal scenarios, but I cannot go by her prices b/c mine are different (sometimes less, sometimes more). If I can’t make a deal work without going over too much, then I scrap it.
Another thing I’m wondering though, was your total $9.98 AFTER coupons? If so, then the deal might have been regional. This deal is not in my ad nor was it signed at the store.

Will this work with their brush sets?
