The Starbucks Store is now offering up this highly rated Starbucks 2014 Advent Calendar for $29.95 $19.99, plus FREE shipping (and FREE shipping on all orders that include this calendar!). The Advent Calendar is a magnetic chalkboard with 25 reusable tins containing sweet treats AND a FREE $5 Starbucks gift card. Plus, you can use the promo code AFF10 to score an additional 10% off your first order, which will drop your total down to $17.99! So if you take into account the $5 Starbucks gift card you’re getting, it’s like paying $12.99 for the calendar! SWEET!

Also, note that you can still purchase a Starbucks Brewed Coffee Refill 16oz Tumbler for $30 at your local Starbucks Store or online here. Yes, I know this sounds pricey for a tumbler but

You can then bring the tumbler into a participating Starbucks store in January 2015 and you will receive 1 FREE Grande Brewed Coffee every day throughout the month of January. This deal may not make sense for everyone (definitely does not make sense for me! 😉 ) but for those of you who hit up Starbucks regularly, this may be worth it. Basically if you go to Starbucks 30 times during the month (almost every single day), you are essentially paying $1 per cup of coffee and you are scoring a FREE tumbler – which is a great deal for Starbucks coffee! This would also make a great gift for the Starbucks lover in your life!

And if you purchase the tumbler with the calendar, you will score FREE shipping on both items (note that the 10% off promo code above doesn’t work on the tumbler).

(Thanks, Stefanie!)

Will Starbucks do price adjustments, does anyone know? I bought the advent calendar last week…

    • Just Me

I’d say no just because it probably dropped because it’s already 3 days into the calendar. No harm in asking tho

    • MiisNoel

I personally don’t think they will … But, that’s just an opinion. Since the calendar is used to count down the days to Xmas and it’s already began, I imagine that’s why it’s on sale.

    • suzy

I did too !! I am sure they won’t do price adjustments :((

      • Sarah

Gah! Me too! But your right, probably not. They marked them down probably because it’s already into December now…on another note I got mine today and it’s super cute!

        • SS

Actually, per a comment below I called and kindly asked if they would price adjust and they did! The lady was very nice and price adjusted down to the $19.99 price.

          • Mia

Thanks for posting ! I paid 26.96 for it after the 10% coupon and I called to get a price adjustment since it’s now 19.99 and she just adjust 6.96. Not the $10. Also they’re said they absolutely don’t do price adjustments, she was adjusting as a curtesy due to ordering it last week and not having received it. I had to call 3 times because to finally get a customer service rep to price adjust, I thought it was ridiculous that some customer service will adjust and others won’t.

Anyone know what kind of things are in the advent calendar?

    • Lauren

      Chocolate covered graham crackers.

  3. Amanda B.

    I’m not getting free shipping?

    • Julie

      Me either?!?!

  4. Melissa

Check out the website. Chocolate is in the tins. However, there are a lot of complaints in the reviews that the chocolate are way too salty. Some say inedible.

    • Niamh

so salty that one chocolate made me sick!

  5. jw

Pretty cute! Looks like you could use this all through the year for notes or those little magnetic tins you buy, too!

    • MommySpendsLess

That’s what I was thinking too! I’m sure somebody creative has some neat ideas of what to re-purpose it for – crafts or spices maybe?

    • Jaxromero

I was thinking of covering the tins (either spray paint or mod podge) and use them for spices.

  6. kristina

super cute….could use it year after year and replace the chocolate with candy each year. love it

  7. Kelly

Can you use the tumbler multiple times a day?

    • Ali

It’s one a day per location.

  8. Cindy Galindo

I’m not getting the $5 promo card. Any ideas why I’m not?

    • Just Me

  11. Beth

great! I think that’s a great deal and am hoping to set up some kind of small gift/activities written on paper that we do as a family (like one of your readers posted the other week using the shoe organizer) within the tins. thanks collin/crew!!!!

  12. Erin

Does anyone know the dimensions of the chalkboard?

  13. Sabrina

It says I get free shipping but it’s not taking it off my total. Is this happening to anyone else?

    • Sabrina

Nevermind… I figured it out and got the free shipping! It’s a great deal!

  14. Erin

Aw man! I was hoping it would contain kcups, not chocolates!

  15. Julie

Awesome – thanks for this code! I also got a few packages of salted caramel hot cocoa that were marked down. Happy Holidays!

  16. Sherri

Quick delivery, too! My order from 12/1 just arrived by Federal Express. Free shipping!

  17. Ilyssa

Is the espresso refill mug back this year? I can’t find it anywhere.

    • kristie

No, they aren’t doing it. I was told by a store manager that last year at the end of january they had given out more than 3 times the drinks than mugs they sold. People were only supposed to go once a day but obviously went more.

  18. ang

wonder if this will keep going down in price?

  19. Lacey

I got mine! I remembered I still hadn’t used my groupon deal from a few weeks ago so i got it shipped for $10.22!!! Hope to refill these every year with different items! Thanks!

  20. Rachel

Can you get it in the store for this price?

  21. kimnelly

I called and they courteously the adjustment – so relieved!

    • suzy

      who did you call Kim?!

      • kimnelly

I called the number listed on my confirmation email: 1-877-421-9062.

    • SS

Thanks for posting! I called and they price adjusted to the $19.99 price!

  22. kimnelly

    *made the adjustment

  23. invictus22

I ordered the calendar when it was posted a few days ago, thinking we could refill it for future years and possibly find other uses for it throughout the year. I expected it to be a little more substantial and was a bit disappointed when it arrived. The backing of this board is like cardboard painted with magnetic paint and the frame is very basic – not quality materials or construction. The first two days of chocolate did not look appetizing either – they looked grayish. The little tins are cute though, as is the concept.

    • ang

Hmm..I was on the fence and this swayed me away. Thanks for the feedback!

    • Hilary

I love mine and thought it was nicer than expected. I think I can use it for years to come!

    • MiisNoel

I had received an email notification from Starbucks of this product a few weeks ago. I checked it out and thought it was a great idea (and seemed to be reusable), however after reading the reviews and a lot of the same “grey” chocolate you experienced … An indication it’s old or was not properly stored at the correct temperature to maintain freshness, I decided to pass. Too expensive to risk it and thought it’d be tacky to gift. I’m sorry you encountered this. 🙁

  24. suzy

    The price adjusted !!

  25. Stephanie Raley

    out of stock

  26. J.M.

A very big disappointment – first off these are NOT chocolates. They are chocolate covered off brand graham crackers and mine have been stale. I kept hoping that each day would surprise me with a slight variation or a real chocolate. At day 10 and now could care less if I open another one. They are tasteless. I will reused next year with real chocolates or treats and give to someone else.
