whats the difference between subscribe and save and amazon prime? does anyone really pay for the $99 amazon prime? how much is subscribe and save if we dont cancel

    • Kathy

If you do not cancel when they ship the next round of product you get charged whatever price it is when they ship.

      • Kathy

You can mark how often you want them shipped I always pick like 6 months and than when I get my shipment or the email that it is shipped I go in and cancel my subscribe and save.

    • JulieA

We pay $99 for prime. For my family it is well worth it… we use subscribe & save often but we also utilize the two day free shipping (even sweeter now that you get $1 credit if you choose slower shipping), we all have kindles so we get a free new release each month, and we watch movies & TV shows on the instant streaming. It’s not for every family but ours sure uses it enough to justify the cost.

My fiancé is in doctorate school, so we get the discounted Student Prime rate. We use the 2 day shipping SO much. And love it!! We always check Amazon before anywhere else now, we don’t even use eBay anymore! Plus, there are many stores that you can order from through amazon (Under Amour, etc) We will continue to pay for Amazon Student Prime until my Fiancé is no longer a student as we would not be able to afford it otherwise. HTH!!

That’s a really good price. My supermarket has them only this time of year and they are $2.99. Tempted. Not sure I want or need six bags…just made cinnamon chip scones last night! Mmmmmmm

    • Dep

I always freeze my extra bags of chocolate chips!! I have chocolate, white chocolate, butterscotch, etc in my freezer at all times.. Just incase I ever want to make something!! Plus as long as they are frozen, we won’t snack on them.. Lol!!

  3. Denise

yes I paid $99 for the prime account

  4. Gina

It says it is an “add on” item…what does that mean?

    • Heather C

Usually you need to spend $25 in order to add it at this price.

  5. Brigitte

I paid $99 for prime also. We got rid of cable and have the amazon fire tv so we get a lot of free shows/movies. Also get the 2 day shipping which I have used a bunch for Christmas gifts.

Before I got it I would have thought someone was nuts to pay $99 for prime. However now that I’ve had it for a year, I feel it’s well worth the money. We’ve definitely gotten our money out of it.

    • Margie

I agree mrl…I thought the same thing. But then I was ordering more than I would normally just to get the free shipping, this 99.00 has been well spent! 🙂

  7. Jamie

We’ve had prime for years now. The free two day shipping and unlimited movie and tv streaming has paid for itself!

    • JulieA

The $1 credits for slower shipping speed make it even sweeter!! I simply buy each item in a separate order so I get $1 for each item ordered….unless it’s S&S or add-on.

      • Angi

I never thought about buying each item separately!! Smarty pants!! Thanks.

        • JulieA

          🙂 You are very welcome!

I don’t understand the add-on item combined with subscribe and save. Normally for an add-on item I would need to purchase $25 of items in addition to the add-on. What about the subscription, do I need to purchase $25 next time the chips are ready to ship? That doesn’t make sense. Any answers.

    • JulieA

They are separate programs…if you choose to subscribe & save it will ship the first of the month (or that’s when mine does) OR you can choose to add-on the item to an order now as long as the total, chips included, is $25. HTH!

      • JulieA

No, if you choose S&S you would not need to purchase $25…just if you do it as an add-on item.

  9. Melissa

Oh the cinnamon baking chips!!! I loooove these!!! Ugh so much.

  10. Rachel

Can you guys explain how we can watch tv, movies through Amazon?? Do we have to buy any equipment ?

    • suzy

I had to buy Amazon Fire TV to get prime to go through my TV. Only because my TV didn’t automatically have WIFI on it. It was on special a week or so ago for $69 one time fee. We love it.

    • JulieA

We use our Wii, Playstation 3, and a blu-ray player we bought because it was set up for Amazon Instant. There are other devices you can use; there should be a list at Amazon’s site?

    • Kelly

We watch Amazon Instant Video on our Roku and thru the free app on our iPhone. We don’t have cable, so it’s paid for in less than 2 months!

  11. Elle Sea

what recipes do you use these chips for?

    • Angi

I use them in place of chocolate chips in cookies! Cinnamon chip cookies. Monster cookies. We even put them in our trail mix with nuts and cranberries.

    • Tera

I just saw a recipe for cinnamon bread using the cinnamon chips. Looked really yummy. Then I would probably use the cinnamon bread to make French toast. Yum-o!

    • Sara

We put them in pancakes instead of chocolate chips!

  12. Angi

Thanks!! I got mine! Ended up being 7.07 so $1.18 each!!

  13. Karen

Weis has Hershey chips 1.77 this week, only 1.27 after q. I’m going to have to see if they have cinnamon now after all the comment on how yummy they are.
