Just a FYI Hip2Saver’s…..this company has a history of very inhumane animal practices.

    • Juanita

      Anna,
      What are you referring to?

        • Nicole

When I read the article that you linked, I was concerned about this choice as a reference. Even the author says she will continue to wear her uggs after researching the issue of harm to sheep.
I am a good steward towards animals but use them for intended purposes as well.

    • saving4girls

      Explain Anna—if you would
      Love these
      Have quite a few pairs.

    • lucky

They mistreat and kill the sheep in the most crucial way.

      • lee

as someone who works in the fur business (crucify away. its a living) i can assure you that animals are not kept in poor conditions or treated terribly. yes, they are killed. these are shearling boots and therefore made of sheep skin. but to protect the integrity and quality of the pelts animals need to be fed well and kept in a stress free environment.

        • Rae

They are also not just used for their pelt. Typically every other part of the animal is used as well. Born and raised in and around the diary industry and most of the info online is false.

    • Gabby

And to. Keep its warmth sheep skin is used therefor yes they are cute but not worth the life of an animal

    • Rebe

Thanks for the heads up Anna. I obviously dont know where lee works, but although I dont doubt there are places that try to protect the integrity and quality of the pelt, there are many where animals are treated and killed in inhumane ways.

I would never buy Uggs off Ebay…That is a fantastic price, but no gaurentee they are real

  3. mary

Exactly what I was thinking. The ugg website doesn’t have anyone on ebay as an authorized Reseller. It’s too easy to sell counterfeit boots as the real thing. If it’s too good to be true then it probably isn’t true. Just my opinion.

  4. Krystal

I Googled the company that is selling them and they have poor reviews in regards to not refunding the money and poor customer service.

  5. Kelly Browning

Wow, lots of bad comments in the last month on their ebay reviews. Seems they do not send the correct size boot and no responses. I would skip this one. yikes!

  6. Diana

I thought of buying one for me & my daughter.but, the reviews makes me to STOP!
    Ladies,help!
Which is the nice site, store to buy original UGGS?

    • Brandy

Diana – TheWalkingCompany.com is a great company to purchase UGGs from. HTH

    • Tiffany

      Try 6pm.com

    • Jane S.

Nordstrom Rack is a great UGG discount retailer! It’s “spotty” – you never know when or what style – but when you happen upon the deal it’s really awesome! I purchased a $200 pair of UGGS for $80 AND in a size 7!!

  7. Denise

I’m very happy with my $12 Old Navy Adoraboots. Warm and cozy, and kind of look like UGGs. Although they’ll probably only last the rest of this season, lol!

    • Rae

I had a $10 clearance pair of brand from sears that lasted two seasons. Also have a real leather suade non slip sole pair I got on clearance from Walmart for $12 org 40 that have lasted 3 seasons and are still going and will probably last a couple more seasons. I really dislike uggs the price is not wish the product, you are paying for a name.

      • Rae

Also wanted to add i learned the hard way that foam bottom boots are not a good choice in areas that snow or get icy. That ten dollar sears pair… Well I only used it in the fall before the snow started. I had live in the central valley of California my whole life and never needed that knowledge then we moved to Chicago.

    • Rebe

Denise, I bought some Old Navy sleepers on clearance for a $1 after my husband and I got married…that was 10 years ago and I still wear them!

  8. Krystal

Bearpaw is a great comparable brand.

    • Rae

I’ve had bear paw and they rock too. I’ve only had the slippers though.

      • dander

I love my BearPaws…they are stylish and very warm and affordable!

  9. Elizabeth

Last winter I got really lucky and got a pair of Uggs for $80 or $90 on clearance at a high end shoe store here in town. I wear them frequently and am dreading the day I may have to pay full or close to full price for a new pair. I had tried on similar style boots from pretty much any brand I could find (from Target to department store brands) and nothing could beat the comfort of these.

  10. Nichole

    Colin,

What are your thoughts on these? Obviously you wouldn’t post a deal that you didn’t think was legit. How do you feel about their reviews on eBay and taking the chances on this seller?

  11. Gessy

I follow PETA and the Ugg undercover videos are unbearable to watch:(

    • mary

PETA lies and twists the truth. They prey on people’s love of animals simply to take your money. Please do not buy into their crazy greed driven propaganda.

  12. shannon

Bearpaw is an excellent, comparable shoe at a much lower price. They even have a pair with the sweater like material on the outside like uggs came out with, though i typically buy the traditional ones. You can typically find them at Nordstrom Rack though they just had a big sale on them so sold out in a lot of sizes. I just purchased another pair on amazon for around $40 yesterday. The current pair i have is on its 3rd or 4th winter now.

  13. Desirae

Love my BearPaws too!!!! I buy them every year Black Friday at Fred Meyers when they are 60% off for my daughter and I. They are great boots and very comparable to UGGs. πŸ™‚
