If you get the gift card deal, is it a tangible card you can gift or is it a $25 code?

    • Pinki

The $25 Amazon gift card is shipped to an address of your choosing therefore it is tangible.

I am an Amazon student member and ordered the $25 gift card. How do I receive/activate the $5 credit? Is it something that arrives via email or deposited directly into my Amazon account?

    • Turbosmommy

Amazon’s page states: After your gift card ships, you’ll receive an email containing a code for a $5 promotional credit that can be applied to your Amazon account for items sold and shipped by Amazon.com. Credit expires on November 22, 2015.

    Stud week 🙂

Anyone know if you get multiple credits for ordering multiple cards? I see that it’s only 1 order allowed with code, but can’t find the answer to my question.

    • madcat2k1

Add 1x $25 card to card, apply the coupon, and it is then “tied” to your account. You should see every time after that when you add another $25 card it will say you will get a $5 promotion. I believe there is a hard limit of 20 cards until the message disappears and you no longer get the credit after that. Use discover 5% cash back or chase freedom 5% cash back as well drops off another 5 dollars per 100 bucks of gift cards, so 25% off. Just note it can only be used on items that are shipped by Amazon.com and expires 22 November. (The promo credit, not the gift cards).

      • Deanna

Did you actually do this yet? I saw the same thing, but still not convinced that I’ll get for every card.

        • madcat2k1

Yes, I have done this. 3 of my cards have shipped, I received 3 emails. YMMV though, but it worked for me. Also I can’t apply multiple promo credits to one order, so it appears we can only use $5 at a time on each order. Still, for small orders, that’s still 5 off. So it seems that’s the downside. Can’t buy a big ticket item and apply all our $5 promo codes en masse.

          • Deanna

            thanks!

            • madcat2k1

If you do have a problem, then bring it up with CS chat. As long as you see the “This gift card purchase qualifies you for the $5 Amazon Student Week promotional credit.” you’re good to go.

On the right you will also see that you’ve been given a student savings qualification. CS can’t do anything about this other than honor it since there is no description of how many redemption per code on the promo page.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The terms and conditions say “limit one promo code per customer”. Hope that helps!

      • Deanna

That’s just it though….you would only enter the code once for the order, but does it work on every item?

        • madcat2k1

Limit one promo code per customer in the past has resulted in it being used multiple time. This stud coupon code is account tied, and valid throughout the time the promo is valid. It is a one shot coupon code that once applied can’t be reapplied. Amazon has all sorts of ways of doing things, just like promo credit that is given is applied on an account basis when you talk to CS.

They apply the code to your account as promo credit and it takes off your next order. If it’s a cost under the promo code, the remaining will be taken off next order.

So the same thing works for this code. Just in a slightly different way.

    Thanks, Collin! You’re the best!

      YW 😉

Dos anyone know if caregivers can apply for a student status on Amazon? We take classes – 12hrs, any time during a year period.

    • K

You need a “.edu” email address from a college or university that is currently active, to be eligible.

      • ANN

        Thanks

Anyone had success with the Fire TV? It comes up $79 for me.

    • josh

comming up 79 for me also… am i doing something wrong?

    • J

I had trouble applying mine and contacted CS who stated any Amazon item (not third party) but applied it to my third party order anyway as a one time exception.
