That seems seriously inflated. I think these are normally $20. Not much of a deal at the moment. Not trying to troll just letting you know.

      I appreciate your feedback Jenn!

How about my mom still has mine from the late 70s that looks like this!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

How cool Susan! Thanks for sharing 😉

My mom still has the original one that my sister and I played with in the ’70s. It’s one of my daughter’s favorite toys to play with when she visits grandma.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      That is so sweet!

    Got one!!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Yay!

    It’s originally $19.99 at target not $39.99. Only a $2 savings.

Also the Blaze track and 2 vehicles has dropped from $29 to $17.99 on Amazon. Lowest price I’ve seen it anywhere. Toys R Us has it on sale right now for $24.99.

We have this and my son loves it, but I have to admit we (the parents) were very disappointed because it isn’t like the old wind up one; it is electronic. I had it when I was little and was fascinated with the little dots on the record and how the record player arm played it like a music box. Now it is just made to look like the older one, but it doesn’t work the same way/ is battery operated.

I was just going to post about this! I was bummed that it wasn’t like the old one, too. My kids still love it but I’m going to keep an eye out for the old-school one at garage sales.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Darn. Sorry to hear that.

Throw back Thursday! I used to have one of these.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Awesome!

  9. Jill

Saw this today at Kmart for same price

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh cool! Thanks for sharing Jill!

I agree about the inflated price. We bought one at regular price at target and certainly didn’t pay $39.99.
