Can’t find any Kors bags at $49 but did find Lauren 😀

    • Rebecca

I was unable to locate Michael kors as well

      • Momma

There are a few small MK cross body bags and clutches

      • Tiffani

There are 4 small clutches by MK for $49

    • Julie B.

Yea, disappointing. Been wanting a MK bag, but no good/big ones for $50.

      • Sara

Julie B, I have only seen large Kors bags as low as $99 still expensive but I have seen large Kors bags in good condition at consignment stores in my city at that price point. Oh also I have a large Kors bag I purchased after the holidays at Macy’s for $109 in 2007 and that bag still looks brand new HTH

        • tracy

I bought a large Kors bag in November 2015. It was $135 but it already has stress spots on the leather from opening and closing the zipper. It claims to be leather but I thinks it is bonded leather. Very disappointed as I thought I was investing in a quality bag that would last years.

          • Sara

Tracy I have another Kors bag that is not aging well either lol! My Lauren bags are doing well, I have a Coach Canvas that disappointed but a leather one doing well, Dooney and Bourke leather aged well and a leather BR bag that has held up exceptionally-may be just luck of the draw…

          • Kelly

Take pictures of the bag and email them to customer service with a detailed explanation. I had this happen to one of my bags and they credited me the full price so I could purchase a brand new bag. Excellent customer service!

            • tracy

              Thank you so much.
              I will try that.

      • ResseCup

Don’t know if you have Ross in your area but they have MK bags all the time. My friend paid $100 for a MK bag that was originally $399.

  2. Momma

I love the Calvin Klein Modena Pebble Satchel. Made of leather and looks nice!

$50 Shipping…Isn’t that too much for a purse?

    • Dee

Did you add a beauty item to your cart? Should take off the shipping.

    • Molly S

Free shipping if you spend $50, not $50 shipping charge.

a little off topic but can anyone recommend a really large tote style purse that can hold a coupon binder? I’d like to get something quality that will last. Right now I have my binder/purse/diaper bag all in a large victoria’s secret tote lol I get so confused reading all the dimensions online and everything I’ve ordered thus far is too small. I swore I’d never become one of those “binder ladies” lol but I did and I love it too much to go back now haha

    • Sara

Jen I found a Lands End tote sale posted here and I paid $17.99 for the small zip tote and LOVE it! Have traveled with it and holds all my coupons and grandbaby stuff! It’s canvas and should be washable 😀

      • Michele

Sara, does that zippered tote hold a coupon binder? Or just coupons organized a different way?

        • Sara

Michelle, just placed a 3″ 3 ring binder in the Medium Lands End zip top tote and it did fit. Not much room left but inside and outside pockets provide additional room. Maybe large tote would be a better fit but I think it’s really large…

          • Michele

Thx Sara for doing that! I know, the large one wd probably be better for a full coupon binder, but still may be bigger than necessary & then make it even more cumbersome:(
Collin & crew, if you read this, could you start a post & give us advice – “us” meaning those looking for a good coupon binder bag? Thx!!

    • Nel

I heard you, in the same boat. I found one December at forever 21 for $15 but I was desperate, while my binder fits easily I’m in of one with zipper closure

  5. Marcia

What is the cheapest beauty item to add to get free shipping?

    • riss

Burt’ bees lip balm for $3.

    • Tabu

Call them and they will give you one time courtesy ..free shipping!!!

  6. Teresa

They are all so small! I want something a little bigger . Does anyone see anything larger that a tote?

  7. quira628

I usually purchase my large my bags for 100-125 at t.j. maxx or marshalls. Also DKNY has great large bags that I use for school. The last one I purchased was $59 but have lasted 4 years and is still going strong.

    • Sara

Thanks for the feedback! Why i shop here for the customer ratings!!

    • Teresa

Yeah those stores have really good deals. Oh and also the outlet stores have an awesome deal right after Christmas. My daughter got a coach purse. I guess I will I will go this year for my Christmas gift. LOl

  8. Mallory

The Calvin Klein bag I wanted sold out while I was shopping for more.. LOL, but still found one 49.99 bag, and then I found a Ralph Lauren for 69.99 down from 500.. worth browsing other price ranges as well.

  9. Molly S

I snagged that cute color block Calvin Klein tote. I was looking to update my work purse with something in that size and I love the color block styles. Thank you so much for posting Collin! The kids clearance clothing has an additional 20% off with the code CUTE at checkout. Added a pair of shorts for my daughter for the summer for $3.00 to my cart to get me above $50, but they have tons of other super cute kids clothes on clearance as well.

Happy you could score such awesome savings Molly! You’re very welcome!

For years, I was always looking for a great “deal” on “nice” handbags. I’d buy one or two each year for a steal–$75-$100 each time. And each time I was utterly disappointed by my purchase–the TJMaxx would break, the outlet zipper would stop functioning. It was always something! So I finally decided to purge everything and actually buy a QUALITY hand bag. Spent BIG bucks on a Burberry handbag and a Louis Vuitton as well. Classic pieces that never go out of style and go with everything. Yes, it was a lot of money (I was shaking when I made both purchases!!). But it was five and seven years ago and I’ve never looked back! And I haven’t purchased another bag since. I’ve adopted this same mentality for other things in my life since then and really, I have more quality things but have spent LESS money which has opened other doors for me. And Hip2Save has helped with all those open doors! Thanks so much!

    • Teri

That is a great story, and advice. Thanks for sharing. Your cost per use is way down, compared to mine, for the cheaper bags, over time.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

How cool! Thanks so much for sharing your experience! You’re very welcome! 😉

    • Sara

Michelle this is good info thank you. My sister in law claims to have been able to resell her high end handbags like those you described at 30% of what she paid. These bags are considered vintage and still retain a certain value. I could also probably resell my MK bags at 30% of retail value but I am too conservative to try this with LV although it’s the same math but with more zeros lol

  11. You12envyme

So glad I was able to get one. My first name brand bag at the age of 38. I could have gotten one before but I’d rather spend the money on my kids. This time I treated myself. Can’t wait till it arrives. I’m so excited. I got the colorblock Calvin Klein. It’s $178 at Dillards! Great deal at Macy’s. I also scored a Martha Stewart stock pot for $19.99. The original price was $99.99

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Wow! Great score!
