This is a heads up for all the Hip Walmart shoppers out there. Today I went in the store and bought a 6 person tent originally $149 for only $37! Also got a queen sized air bed for $6 and they had a cart full of clothes for a $1
WOW!! That’s awesome! What great deal finds! Thanks for sharing. 🙂
Thank you for this. I have one Apple TV. I like some of the live apps, but I also like the airplay from my phone or computer.
You’re welcome!
Bummer – I just bought one fromTarget for $70 last week!
This is a great deal!
Can you return it and buy it again this week?
Thank You!! Putting this up for a Christmas gift!!!
Great idea! YW!
But you have to have internet don’t you
Yes, it’s a streaming device.
Jennifer, I don’t have Internet service, use strictly our cell service. I have a home network setup using a router (Apple tv requires wifi, but doesn’t know it’s not actual Internet) and can still screen share everything from my iPhone/iPad directly to the Apple TV. Works great!!
Susi, using your phone network to access the internet is still internet/wi-fi. So, you basically do have “internet service” through the data connection on your cellphone.
Most carriers have a data cap and charge $15 per gigabyte for overage. You could end up with a $1000 bill quickly if you don’t know your data cap. Be careful.
THANK YOU!! Just order mine, picking it up tomorrow 🙂
Perfect! You’re very welcome!
Anyone have Apple tv, if so, what are your thoughts? Also, I do not have an iphone but I do have an ipad. Is it more beneficial if you have an iPhone? Thank you for your input!
Don’t buy this one, its very old and outdated. I have had this one and the new one. The new one is completely different, has downloadable apps, etc. The old one you are limited to whats built in plus what you can send over airplay, which requires an iphone/ipad/ipod touch or mac.
We have iPhones, an IPad 2Air, and both of the AppleTv streaming devices. The TV works independently but you still require an iTunes account to pay for the apps which are not free. Or charge you monthly, like Netflix. You can set up an iTunes account by downloading iTunes to any computer. We love our products. I especially love the newest TV! So many choices!! And yes, IF you have an. iPad or iPhone you can stream most things from your phone to your TV… MOST not ALL. Have a splendid day! xox
Thanks for the helpful feedback Jen!
It says $64.99 when I click on the link
Thanks, Colin! The one we had for almost 5 years just stopped working! This is a nice surprise for us all! We love our Apple TV!
When compared to Roku does it provide same features? We enjoy our roku but thinking of getting one in another room as well. Thoughts?
You can mirror your iOS device onto your tv through the Apple TV. You can also view/listen to iTunes content with an Apple TV. Other than that there isn’t much of a difference.
It is listed as a different price???
It says $64.99
It is for $69 when I click on it. Is there an extra discount I’m missing?
