you all are amazing at twisting words. Congrats! Only $1 shipped… run to post to find it is $12.99

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hi there! If you purchase two sets for $19.98, they are as low as $1 per container shipped. Hope this helps!

    • Jennifer

Wow. Rude comment. Feel better. Thanks Collin (& team) for all that you do.

    • Ana

It clearly says $1 PER CONTAINER shipped.

    • Shannon

As mentioned in post if you purchase two sets (20 boxes) at a total of $19.98, that would work out to $1 each. Not sure how that is twisting words…

    • Tiffany

No need to be rude. Generally if the title says price per, the listing will be for multiple.

    • Vic

Thekrazycouponlady site is known for that not this site.

      • Holly

Agreed. I take every deal there with a grain of salt.

      • Erin

Or raining hot coupons click bait every time!! Misleading.

      • Kristen

AGREE!!! Plus they are very rude

    • Niki

I’ve made the same mistake many times, clicking on the deal only to realize that it’s more expensive than implied in the title. One can still appreciate this site and the deals without being a kiss up.

      • Heather C.

Maybe if you took your TIME to read the title, you would understand the deal. I’ve been following this site since 2010 and have never EVER been mislead. These people aren’t being kiss ups, they (including myself) probably just cannot stand when a troll comes along with their snarky sarcastic little comments that are completely unnecessary…

        • Sharon

Heather C :: your comments are unnecessary and snarky too. Not needed.

          • Rebe

It is not. I cant stand when people attack Collin. If you dont like it, go to another site. Period.

    • Heather C.

Keep your rude, sarcastic comments to yourself please. SMH…

      • 🤔

        Yours too Heather C

        • Heather C.

          What rude sarcastic comment?

  2. Mymaria

The headline clearly states $1 per container.

  3. Judy

I think it’s common sense that when a deal is too good to be true, it’s too good to be true. We should all read more carefully and not make assumptions. Thank you to Colin and her team for bringing us great deals every day!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re welcome 😉

  4. Arianne

    Great for meal prepping!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Great idea! Thanks for sharing!

  5. sam

Also these are bento like!!! Not be to brand!!

  6. Jennifer

Collin and team you are AWESOME!! Thanks for all you do. I know our family have saved a TON of money because of Hip2Save. =)

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

So glad to hear that Jennifer! Thanks for the kind words! 😉

  7. Elaine

Has anyone used this brand before? I wonder how sturdy they are. A couple of times reusable or the whole school year? TIA.

    • Cindy

Wondering the same! I love Bento brand.

    • Cassandra

I’m not real specific which brand I have but these are okay. They’re good for packing lunch and the tops snap on fine for me.

    • Christy B.

I have bought these before. They were crappy. Multiple containers/lids cracked on the first use! 🙁

  8. irene

They look like the takeout containers from our local Thai place. We reuse them all the time and have lasted a couple of years so far.

    • Melloddie

Lol I thought I was the only one. We keep all our take out containers and have them very useful for storing leftovers and such. I use the small soup ones to pack fruits/small snacks when we’re out to the park. When we have a big party, we have our guests pack left overs/extra slices of cakes in them. 😊

      • irene

Hello fellow frugalista! Especially when they are so sturdy! We reuse just about anything — pasta sauce jars, ziplock bags, etc.

        • Rebe

That being good to the environment too!

    • Sharon W (not the same one in previous comment)

I did the same thing when I came across the really sturdy take out containers. I said to myself, “These are too thick to toss away! They’re even better than the ones you buy at stores!” My husband just rolled his eyes at me bc he says I save everything & anything!!! Not true! A few weeks later, I saw my niece ended up reusing it for her twistable crayons! Perfect size & super secure lid!!!

  9. errrrr

There is absolutely no twisting of words here. Thank you Collin for all you do!

  10. Jessica

Super excited to give these a try! Thanks for posting all the incredible deals!! Now- fingers crossed for fast shipping since we move in a couple weeks😊

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You’re so welcome! Glad you could snag the deal!

  11. Emily

I ordered these. I hope they hold up well.
They look great for making lunches ahead of time to take to work!

  12. MommySpendsLess

I’ve been a huge fan of this site for years. While I wouldn’t call it intentional word twisting by any stretch…as an idea/user-request, I would also like to see the minimum purchase to get the lowest price listed in the title as well. It could be a simple modification like “Reusable Bento Style Boxes $1 Per Container Shipped WYB 20”. It would save me a few “Oh yay!” 🙂 “ooohhh” 🙁 moments.

    • Hannah

      I agree !

    • CJ

      I like that idea too.

  13. Kasey

Thanks! I’ve been wanting to get some of these!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re welcome!

  14. Rita

Agree ….title should have total purchase dollar amount …..not $1 per container …..because you CANNOT buy just one to get them for $1. You have to spend $20. Title should say 20 for $20! This annoys me every time!

    • irene

I think it’s a blogging trick to generate more clicks. Other bloggers do it all the time — $.50 per bar of soap when it comes in packs of three. Just know the deal and you won’t jump on every post and get annoyed!

      • Helen

        But we shouldn’t be tricked.

        • Stephanie

You aren’t being tricked- you click and read the details and the figure out if it’s a deal for you or not. They are not making you buy a thing. I hate that these people wasted a whole 1/2 a minute to see they don’t want to purchase that many. Big deal! I think they spend way more time finding and posting these deals than all of you ever have by clicking a link. Just saying

  15. Erin

Although hip2save is a repeat offender, it’s nothing like raininghotcoupons click bait!!

  16. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Sorry for the confusion with the title! In any case, the title has been updated per your suggestions!

    • Holly

Lol, I’ll bet it’s tough to run a blog.

  17. Jen

I think people get upset at these sites when the title claims one price so you will click – they get you to click using a cheaper price because they get paid for every click, then you find out it is more. But the site has already been paid because you have clicked and then if you click on the “go here” they get even more depending on the site and whether you browse or purchase. There have been a lot of changes here in the past year or so. They have reduced the number of posts on each page to get you to click more and make more money. I could explain more but it’s easier to understand if you google or go to free website report .org and type in any website. It will explain what is made from clicking. Not what is made when you make purchases and so on.

    • lizz

Blogging is an actual real business so if you don’t like to read things thoroughly or even click anything, you are no obligated. This is how she makes a living and I admire that she can do that while still being home with her family! Thanks for all you do Collin 🙂

      • Barbara Y

        I completely agree with you!!!!!

  18. dmg34

    Thank you!
I bought 2 sets. What a great deal.

    • Tay

      I’m sure you did.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re very welcome!

  19. Monique

I would say that if you don’t like how things are worded than don’t use the site…god forbid people have to pay attention to wording and read. I didn’t see anywhere that said your obligated to purchase anything when you click on the link so in reality people are complaining because they clearly

  20. Monique

don’t understand English and because they clicked on an extra link. I’m so sick of people feeling entitled and having to be babied. I’m regards to clinking on a link and the site making $ good for them we should all be clicking on every link.

  21. Monique

It’s the least I can do for all the money that this page has saved me and it doesn’t cost me anything more than a second of time. Thanks for all you do hip 2 save!

    • Windy

Really 3 posts Monique or should I say Heather C 😳

    • 😳

      Whoa! Calm down Monique!

    • Heather C.

      Completely agree!!

  22. alfa

Thanks for all you do collin

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re very welcome!

  23. Gerta

These Bento boxes would be perfect for taking food to a sick friend or someone you know who could use a little TLC! Thanks Collin and team for posting these great deals. I love Hip2Save 🙂

    • nin

Great idea Gerta! Thanks. Usually when I am making something for the neighbor, family with new baby, someone in hospital, etc., I have to put it in one of the bigger “throw away” dishes, but I have a couple neighbors we make things for and this would be perfect for smaller portion complete meal thing to drop off.

      • Luz

I love this idea, Gerta! Thanks for sharing 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Such a great idea! You’re very welcome!

  24. Gus

Lol ladies!!! And gents if there are any, like myself. I bet the hip2save crew are rolling on the floor laughing when these “fights” break out. So petty people. But thanks for keeping me entertained!

    • Gerta

Couldn’t agree with you more Gus!

    • Tara

I read through all the comments just to get a good chuckle.

      • Haseena

Me too 😂 it’s so petty and unnecessary.

    • Allie

      A good laugh, indeed!

    • 😂

      😂😂😂

    • Iliana

Petty. And if faces were attached to these comments, there probably wouldn’t be any of this silliness.

  25. laura bryan

    Thank you Collin!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      YW!

  26. KellyG

I have been following this site for a very long time, and I too have to admit that sometimes the deal titles are a bit click bait suspect. However, there is no reason to be rude or snarky to Colin about it. The ladies at H2S do an outstanding job with the variety of deals they post. My personal opinion is that the title should only state the actual cost to ship the full deal, not a single piece of the deal. People can hopefully do simple math on their own to know its 20 boxes for $20 shipped which means $1 each. Or another suggestion is to put the per piece price in parenthesis. As an avid deal/price shopper, I personally want to know out of the gate the full shipped pricing, not just one piece of it, so I know whether to click the deal link or not.

    • Yes!!!

      Yes!!!! This!!!! Perfectly said KellyG

  27. K

I’ve never heard of bento before but am looking for containers to start freezing food in. I’ll have to look for that brand..

  28. deal lover

Whereas I don’t think it’s a big deal to click, its a bit disappointing to find the deal not quite as great as it first appeared. Love the site though and rarely disappointed 😊

  29. Jessica

Thank you Collin..for all that you do..your time and finds…have saved me so much…

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Glad you have been able to snag such great savings Jessica! 😉 YW!

  30. jos419

Anyone else have the site freeze when you try to check out?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Darn! Maybe wait a moment and try again Or switch to a different browser if possible. Hope that helps!

  31. 😒

Everybody got somethin’ to say 😒

  32. Dawn

Mine went through perfect. Thank you so much for letting us know about this great deal. I see meal prep in my future!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Perfect! You’re welcome Dawn!

  33. Trac Judy

    Got some

  34. sami

I am very excited to try these for meal prepping. I work nights and these will be prefect for a quick reheat. Hubby can serve easily to the kids and himself!

  35. Chelwood

I swear the comments section brings out the worst in people on both sides of the coin. The world is full of differing opinions, we don’t have to like them all. Didn’t think that Bento boxes would cause more drama than a marathon of Gossip Girl. Thanks for sharing, Collin.

  36. hip slave😊

I like hearing / reading thoughts, comments, and opinions.
I haven’t seen any that horrible.
Sometimes they are useful, sometimes not.
Social media is a tiny part of my life thankfully. Sometimes it encompasses people. I take it lightly and wish the negative parts weren’t so influential at times.

  37. Kristen

I think these are $12.99 Amazon prime too 🙂

  38. Kristen

    Or similar ones at least

  39. Meredith

I am fully ready to be attacked, but as a long time follower of this blog I have noticed the increasing number of affiliate links as opposed to really good deals. Affiliate programs can offer great deals to us, but mostly they serve to profit the person who posts them. That’s not to take away from everything that the women of Hip2Save do, but the coupon craze of a few years ago has ended and now these offers are required to keep a steady revenue stream for all involved. I just wish this was a little more transparent than a small disclaimer. As MANY others have said I appreciate the effort that goes into running Hip2Save but I also think it should be okay to give feedback as well without getting attacked.

    • hillaryP

I whole heartedly agree! I’m not going to post my disclaimer as you just said it exactly as I would, but I too have followed for years and years…. from her first blog at blogspot and went through the whole website crash she went through and I’m still a reader. but I do have to admit, not as often as I used to due to all the affiliate posts, snake river farms, the wine sales, cents of style, to name a few. When Collin first started it was the thrill of the coupon and deal. Not this repeat affiliate selling.

    • Eugene

      Agree

    • MommySpendsLess

I agree. I don’t know if it’s not having time to check every deal anymore or getting the affiliate income but I’ve also noticed that the deals are less vetted than they used to be. It used to be Collin’s hot deals were genuinely ‘lowest price in months’ kind of offers. Now a 1 minute Google search usually reveals 2-3 other major retailers with the same price as her link (and sometimes a better deal for me personally if it’s Prime, store pick-up, etc.) or the hot “50% off” sale is actually only a couple dollars less than Walmart’s regular price. I still love this site and have tons of respect for Collin and her team for being able to turn a hobby into a business and work from home. Just offering some feedback as a loyal long time ‘customer’. I feel politely worded constructive feedback is helpful to both sides – we’re happier ‘customers’ and Hip2Save gets repeat visits and referrals.

    • Sam

A ton of affiliate posts vs. pop up deals and coupon deals. It’s unbalanced.

      • Tia

I agree, but that’s what business is about. She’s supposed to be making more money than when she first started. She’s forming more and more relationships with different companies and also has more helpers now that must get some form of payment. She is hustlin’ her business and I respect that.

        • Paula

She’s forming more and more relationships with companies but essentially losing long time “customers” in the process.

    • Yolonda

I’ll chime in here and say I agree.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thank to everyone for the feedback. Both myself and my awesome team of sidekicks take pride in posting only the best deals each and every day. We do work with affiliate companies so that we can earn some revenue with certain posts – this revenue allows me to employ a wonderful team of women, to pay for hosting, to pay for website upgrades, to fund the free Hip2Save app and to essentially provide this site to all of you at absolutely no cost (i.e. no membership fees etc).

If you find that certain deals do not appeal to you, please just skip over the post. Hope all of you have a wonderful day and score some amazing deals! 🙂

  40. Kathy

    SMH…….Thanks Collin

  41. Krysta

Sorry if this is a repeat question: For those that ordered the Bento boxes- have you received an email notification confirming your order? I ordered these the day they listed. I havent received any communication. The email address on 13deals website is invalid. There is a phone number so I will try to call later today, but wanted to see if anyone else experienced this?

    • Amy

I was finally able to get a hold of customer service and received an email saying they ran out of stock and are expecting more within the week and then my item will be shipped. I hope this helps!

      • Krysta

Yes! Thank you so much! I had just given up! haha

        • Amy

I actually got another email a few hours ago with a tracking number (it’s preparing for shipment).

          • Krysta

Oh awesome! I will check my email to see! Thank you so much for replying! 🙂

  42. Tiffany

Not sure if anyone else has received their order yet but mine came broken and cracked in several places. Out of the 20, I’ll be lucky if i can use 5 of them. Contacted them. No response as of yet. Wasted money.

    • Krysta

Tiffany- 4 of mine were broken/cracked. I emailed them and they responded in less than an hour saying they were crediting me $9.99. I haven’t received the credit yet, but I just wrote them Thursday.
