Can we buy gift cards with visa checkout?

    • cbeths

I don’t think so… here are the restrictions on the website: Not valid on SKUs 513096 or 1149611, ROKU®, Google products, any Bose®, Canon® ink, Epson® EcoTank™ printers, Epson® ink and toner, HP ink and toner, JBL®, Staples Industrial(sm) purchases, Wacom®, custom printing orders placed online, services, promotional products, gift cards, prior purchases or any purchases on other provider websites.

      Nope 🙁

  2. Aimee

Looks like they have a good selection of k-cups!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Sweet! Thanks for sharing Aimee!

What is a good price on the scott mega paper towels? I usually get sparkle. $5.00 for 8 pack not sure of number of sheets pet roll. 8 packs of Scott is 103.92 pre tax. then with 25 off. it still end up being 1.32 a roll. Is that good?

    • Eva

I think your math is a little off.
      $12.99 x 8 = $103.92
      You get 120 rolls (8×15).
      $103.92 divided by 120 = .866 or 87¢ per roll.

That being said, I usually stock up on paper towels when they are less than 75¢ per roll for the big rolls.

      Hope that helps 🙂

    • Amy

oops i was thinking they were 8 packs not 15 packs thanks its Monday with a 9 month old teething.

      • Eva

9 month old? How sweet! I miss those days (even with the teething). It’s a little early for me too. I forgot to deduct the $25 from my scenario :D. As someone posted below it is actually 66¢ per roll. That’s a stock up price for me.

  4. Denise

If you are doing the visa checkout it would actually be

    $12.99 x 8 = 103.92
    minus -$25.00 = $78.92
$78.92 divided by 120 = $.66 per roll (plus whatever your tax would be)

    • Eva

Ah, yes, I forgot to deduct the $25. Thanks for getting the numbers right 🙂

  5. Ginger

    Don’t forget ebates or topcashback.

    • jac mylfyers

      how does this work?

  6. Lynn

Can someone help me with the math on the Angel Soft 80 rolls (450 sheet-2 Ply) toilet paper for 44.99? I figure on buying 2 and adding something else to make the $100. Can you help if it’s a stock up price or not? I’m lost…Help!

    • Dalia

Hi Lynn – I always calculate price per regular roll to compare apples to apples. For example, Target sells 12 double rolls (24 regular rolls) for $5.89. That’s $0.25/reg roll. Regular roll is 132 sheets. One roll of the Professional Series (450 sheets) that you are considering equals 3.41 regular rolls. So the 80 rolls equal approx. 273 regular rolls. $44.91 divided by 273 equals $0.16 per regular roll. That’s before taking into consideration the $25 discount of the $100 purchase. That to me is a stock up price. I am interested in getting this myself, but I have never purchased the Professional series before, does anyone know if it’s the same as regular?

      • Lynn

Thanks Dalia for your help with this calculation. I did end up ordering 2 sets of the toilet paper. So I have 160 rolls of toilet paper coming – can we say holy mackerel? In my opinion, we like Angel Soft generally and this is 2 ply so I figured as long as it wasn’t Scott’s toilet paper (we hated) or a 1-ply toilet paper, we would probably be ok with it. And reviews were generally good with a few not liking too well. Good luck!

Can I buy a gc with this deal

  8. Peavey

Thanks so much for posting this deal! I was able to order the much needed office chair and get a great deal!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Perfect! You are SO welcome!

  9. Becky

If you try to use staples rewards it won’t let you use both unless your total after taking off the rewards is $100.

  10. lucky

can i use 25 off 75 coupon with this deal

This offer was so timely! I was trying to figure out a way to not pay full price ($100) for my son’s graphing calculator for school. Staples offered it for $99.99 and I added index cards so the total was over $100. Staples is also running a $10 rebate on the calculator style that I bought so with the visa checkout option and the rebate, the $100 calculator cost $65 and will be shipped to my house. 🙂

    • Emulvey2001

Great job – so crafty with the deals!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

What an awesome deal! Great job!! 😀

    • Cindy

Be careful with this. I was charged the full $119.99 for the calculator when I used the rebate. When I called I was told that when there is a rebate you need to pay the full price of the item. $90 was not as great of a deal. I did return the calculator. Check to see what you were charged. The guy on the phone said that this is how the rebates always work. When I asked him what I would pay if an $80 item was on sale for $50 and had a $10 rebate he said $70.

Something to think about if you need a backpack. You can combine the $25 off $100 Visa deal with the 25% off school supplies if you buy a backpack deal. The promo code is 65639. Certain items are excluded from the 25% but many are not. The fine print (listed below) says that food is excluded but I was able to use it on k cups. The kleenex tissues that Collin posted about are eligible for the 25% but the paper towels are not. Adding a $19.99 backpack to my order deducted approximately $16. I look at it that I got a Finding Dory backpack for about $4. I’m adding it to my gift closet. I’m sure I could have gotten an even better deal but I was starting to lose my mind! Here is the deal I did:
    (5) K Cup 18 Packs – $11.99 each
    (1) Java Roast Single Serve Cup Coffee 12 Pack – $4.99
    (1) Scott Bath Tissue Roll (aka toilet paper) 20 Pack – $17.99
    (2) Kleenex Facial Tissues, 4 boxes – $3.99 each
    (1) Scott Choose-A-Sheet Paper Towels, 15 Mega Rolls – $12.99
    (2) Staples Yellow Pencils, #2, Dozen – $0.75 each
    (1) Disney Finding Dory Backpack – $19.99

Using promo code 65639, $25.00 off $100 Visa Promo & a $5.00 Staples rewards I had from my last statement I paid $82.71! Thanks Hip2Save for all you do 🙂
