I have a question for you who use pods. I have an HE washer and you aren’t supposed to add the detergent on top of the clothes, but through the dispenser. Do you just throw the pod on top of your clothes or into the dispenser (so that the water runs through it and dissolves it first)? I hate to sound so stupid and I am sure everyone has HE washers, but when I bought my first one 16 yrs ago they were adamant about not throwing detergent in on top of your clothes so I’ve always used liquid but would love to be able to use the pods! Thanks! (I have the Kenmore Oasis, top loader w/ a glass top so I guess I could watch it and see if it dissolves?)
I throw my pods at the bottom and usually put an article of clothing that isn’t a delicate or a top next to it (just in case it were to do the weird detergent stain.)
thanks, Sarah! After reading your response, I went and ordered their free and clear pods and saw when looking at the page that they recommend what you said, throw it in first. Good to know! I am excited to get them and use them. My teens help with the wash but I never know how much detergent they actually use…this seems to make it fool-proof! 🙂
If you have a large load, you may need 2 of the pods. I think it says somewhere on the pkg, but I never read this til recently!
Speaking of pods. I have had good luck with the Sam’s Club brand. I really liked how well they cleaned. I know have some All ones and I thought they were good, but found out today that some stains in my daughters clothes it did not get out at all. I had used up all my liquid stuff as the pods had been working great. I am now back using Aldi version of Gain liquid to see if this is more effective. Maybe I should have been using 2 for a very large load, but being frugal I always just used 1.Any other opinions out there?
With my 15% S&S, and my $10 gift card.. I paid like $2 🙂 can’t beat it!
Great score Jessica!
