Have You Purchased Honest Company Products? Read This As You May Be Due Money Back

Hip2Save may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you via trusted partners and affiliate links in this post. Prices and availability are accurate as of time posted. Read our full disclosure policy here.

If you purchased select Honest Company diapers, cleaning supplies or personal care products between January 17, 2012 and July 10, 2017, you may be eligible to receive cash back or an Honest Company credit for each purchase due to a class action settlement.

Head here to see a list of eligible products which include diapers, floor cleaner, face lotion, dishwasher detergent and more.

No proof of purchase is required!

Some eligible customers of the Honest Company were sent an email with a list of their purchases and instructions on how to redeem. If you did not receive this email, you may still be eligible for a refund.

Customers are eligible to receive up to $2.50 for up to ten products without proof of purchase OR a calculated share of the settlement on unlimited products with proof of purchase (based on the original amount paid). If you feel you are eligible for a refund, head here for more details and to fill out the claim form which must be submitted by October 23, 2017.

What is this settlement about?

The Honest Company settlement comes from claims that Honest Company used certain chemicals in its products that are contrary to its claim of organic, non-toxic ingredients. Honest Company denies these claims and any wrongdoing, but has agreed to settle in an effort to avoid further legal fees.

  2. Tina

I got an email with a code for free wipes and a free shampoo/ bodywash which arrived yesterday…

  3. Tracey

I used to purchase Honest cleaning supplies and diapers when my son was younger. I loved all the products! I read through the description of the lawsuit quickly, but couldn’t really see why they are being sued. Does anyone know?

Using chemicals that are contrary to the “chemical-free” branding they claim as a brand.

      • Casey Meyers

I smelled there hand sanitizer in the store and they did not smell good. ☹️

      • Tracey

        Thanks –

Took me a while to find the receipts, but I did! We bought 7 boxes of their diapers in June when certain prints were on clearance in my Target. Also subscribed to their monthly diaper bundle when they had the BOGO sale. Uploaded all my receipts 🙂 Thanks H2S!

    • Queenjen87

Ugh I don’t know if I have those receipts from that sale too!! 😂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re welcome!

What is the title of the email?

    • momo

I never received an email either.

    • Amber

The subject of my email was: Legal Notice of Class Action Settlement – In re Honest Marketing Litigation

      • Hannah

Check your junk mail. Everyone I have told has been found in the junk mail.

        • Micki

Thanks for suggesting to check spam. I was annoyed that I didn’t get an email. And there it was in spam!

  6. Breann

I got an email from them with a identification number and code and when I filed my claim it says I was eligible for $385! I used to be an avid monthly subscriber.

    • Amber

Is that what it means Breann? Mine says: 187.33 in the Verified Amount, but it goes on to read: Do you agree that the above Verified Amount represents the total amount you paid for eligible purchases at Honest.com between January 17, 2012 and July 10, 2017? So we would receive $2.50 per item in that group? Thanks!

    • Ana

hi, trying to find the email I should write for my claim, but cannot find it. any help will be appreciate it,
      Thanks!

  7. Amanda

    • Jill

    • coolrocks

      Nope

    • ANDREA MARTIN

Yes I got mine today, it was supposed to be $270. I got $33.80 in my check.

    • Micki

I just received (a few days ago) a check for $17.60.

    • Danielle

I got my Seventh Gen one – I got a check for close to $400, but we buy so many things from them (all household cleaning supplies, diapers, wipes, etc.).

  8. Amy

Guess they are not that honest.

  9. Tracie

Thanks for posting. My emails were in my junk mail folder so I would never have seen them!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You’re welcome! Glad you could find them Tracie!

  10. Nicole

My verified amount is showing as $4,359.73. That seems high to me, even though I have been a faithful Honest.com user for years. How do I know if this is correct?

    • Jess

      Holy smokes!

  11. Sharina

I logged in and mine was $258 on one account and about $200 on another so I filed both.

  12. Suz A.

I didn’t file on the 7th Gen and I won’t file on this one. At any time people can research the ingredients and I’m tired of people suing over nothing.

    • Jess

      Doing your own research! Yes!

    • faith

I’m so with you on this on!!

    • SJ

I’ll gladly take your money. Thanks.

  13. Bero Bonilla

Where does the email come from so I can search through my emails.
    Thanks

    • Serena

Do a search in your spam folder for “Honest Marketing Litigation Settlement Administrator”

  14. Amanda

When was this notification sent? We’ve been on auto delivery for years

  15. Angela

I submitted my form and I’m still confused if I will get the full verified amount from my online purchases. Some things I’ve read online say that I will just get a percentage of that but other things have said I would get the full amount. Does anyone know?

  16. ashley

I sent all the info awhile back with invoices and then got an email last week wanting more documentation, price per item invoice, which I don’t have because it was all bundles from Honest. I’ve emailed the email provided 3 times with no response, and called the number and it told me to email. So frustrating. I guess this is how the lawyers make more money.
