Does anyone have any feedback/advice on how they use the digital copies of movies? Would these Kindles have enough storage or a movie? Or how many movies would it hold? Have you put them on an iPad? We have several codes, but have never used them… not sure the best way to get them on a device so the kids could possibly use them on a road trip. If you have any help to offer, I’d appreciate it! Thanks!
Hi! Are you talking about Disney movie codes? If so, you may want to reach out to Disney movie rewards. Recently they switched over to a new platform and the codes may not be valid. I have uploaded my codes and we can access them on any device. Cell phone tablet roku just by downloading the app. Not sure this is any help but more of an FYI
Depends on the movie format. With 16GB youβre probably only looking at holding 3 HD and about 8 SD movies (the average SD movie takes up around 1.5 GB of space). We use Apple products in our home so any digital codes we get get entered into iTunes.
Cas and Lynn, Thanks! Yes, most are disney. I was trying to find a way to use them without being connected to the internet? Such as in the car? I think they are entered onto the My Disney Rewards site, but we’ve never used them. I’ll do some more research. Thanks!
Laura – These do offer expandable storage, βAdd microSD card for up to 256 GB of additional storage for even more movies, TV shows, music, photos, personal videos, and apps.β
We have 2 of the 7s and I was able to download the movies to the tablets so we could view offline. Ours also have expandable storage so you can add a memory card. Not sure if these have the same?
Yep, these have the option of adding a microSD card for up to 256 GB of additional storage.
Laura-you will have to download a new system and link your Disney rewards account. Also, i learned the hard way if you donβt log in every 210 Days you lose ALL your points. I was able to have it reversed after two phone calls. The new app Disney movies are in us Movies Anywhere.
Thanks so much for all the help! π
Come on kids tablets! This is a great deal on these. Hoping for an even better two pack of the kid versions.
Me too! Or even just one. Both kids have old Kindles, but the oldest Kindle (which is 5ish years old) is not wanting to connect to our new wifi unless in same room. Cant believe its lasted this long!!
I thinks i saw the kids kindle for $29?! Maybe i was seeing things π€£
You did π
I can’t decide between this or the kids tablets for my kiddos!
How old are they? The kids ones come with the case. A 2 year warranty. A year of free time. All three things were enough for me to choose the more expensive kid one instead. I also purchased the 2 pack for a more discounted rate per tablet.
2,5,7, and 9
I decided on these. If I remember, the others were only 8gb. This seemed like a good deal for 16gb. Don’t know much about these, but I have one kiddo that reads like crazy! Hoping to finger out some free books for her!!
I had this tablet for a short while but I had to return it. I could not get past the horrible audio problem it had. I tried to “fix it” with a downloaded app and it still wasn’t right. Just remember that you have a month to return it!
Thanks for all the feedback
Terri, see if your local library has a way for you to download books for your daughter to your tablet. Our library system has something called Overdrive. I’m sure you could find out the information online at your city’s library website.
My husband and I love the Kindle app on our phones. Open your phone anytime while waiting in line or anywhere. We have Kindle Unlimited and save money because my husband has really cut down on buying hardcover books.
