   I scored this kettle at Target last year at a similar price (clearance + Cartwheel). I LOVE IT. I bought it to sell on eBay, but when I got it home, it was so pretty on my counter I decided it should stay. 😊

  Do you have to keep it plugged into the outlet to keep the beverage hot? I mean could you take it to the ballfield?

  Can’t travel. The black base — about 1″ high — plugs into the wall. The pot sits on it (very simply…no latch/release) and a press of a button heats the water in a minute or two. Once heated, you can grab the pot and take it to your table or wherever (but not travel). It’s simply a kettle that plugs in vs use on a stovetop. Hope this helps!! 😃

   Thank you! Just got one to make hot chocolate and tea at my desk. I’ve been using my Keurig for hot water but it seriously sounds like a rocket getting ready to blast off when I use it and it’s new, argh!

   Thanks!! I have stayed strong and avoided placing any orders this weekend, but this was too good to pass up!! I’m planning a kichen remodel with navy painted cabinets, and I can envision this kettle on my counter top. As a bonus I also finally ordered the bag of Skittles originals (with lime instead of the green apple) that has been in my Walmart shopping cart for a month. Hooray!!

  I can’t say positively, but one comment by a reviewer stated that it has an auto shutoff to prevent boiling dry.

   Thank you so much!! I’ve been saying for months that I want an electric kettle for tea but I haven’t wanted to spend the money. This price is fantastic and I had $5.13 on a GC from Walmart Savings Catcher, plus 6% back from ebates. So excited 🙂

    Does this whistle when it’s done? My mom has been looking for a whistling tea kettle that turns itself off automatically when finished. Her friend had one, but she can’t remember the brand.

    OMG!!!! Thank you Thank you Thank you. Growing up using electric kettles, I have always hated stove top kettles but never could justify paying a lot for one. Been searching for one not only at a good price but a good brand name and now here it is. Love you guys
