As a lifelong Maryland-er, this is our go-to spice for just about everything. We are even taking it to Disney with us next week because we are sure they won’t have it at Cape May’s seafood buffet. 😂

Another Marylander here. Old Bay is great. Stocking up for crabs 🦀 in the summer. Can’t wait.

    • Morna

Marylander who currently lives in Orlando, you’d be surprised how many places habe it. But it’s better to be safe than sorry.

I have never used this. Hmph. I like southern food so maybe I will try, thanks.

NYC native but I live in Texas now…it’s quite popular in both places. I think that it’s just a common seasoning that most people have in their pantry at this point lol. It’s definitely good stuff!

It originated in Baltimore, Maryland in 1939. That’s why us Marylanders claim it. It used to be so hard to find outside of Maryland that everyone wanted some shipped to them. I’m glad to see you enjoy it! 😁

I’m from the midwest originally but we always used Old Bay, especially in egg salad. It’s so good!

Can you not get it in local grocery store? I thought I’ve seen one years ago. Or is this a different variety of old bay?

    • Michelle

It’s a bigger size and much better price.
