  1. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks you for the coupon and the deal scenarios. Do you know how long the Target deal is good for?

  2. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I didnt get a chance to use the $2 one from last time can I combine them

  3. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks Hip2Save…love candles. Last time these coupons were out, did you get them at Walgreens, and what was the size? I got smaller one (4.9 oz). They have larger ones, but they were more money.

  4. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

dont forget some kmarts are double 4.00 coupons!!!

  5. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thank you so much for posting this – you are awesome! I’m really excited about more free candles!

  6. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Love these candles. Got them free earlier in the month. The green one smells great – nice and fresh. Thanks so much.

  7. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

If you combine this with the 15% off at walgreens today it makes the candles only $5.09 before coupons. After coupons it is a $.91 MM! Yeah.

  8. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Ok, so I know that it only lets you print out TWO coupons per computer… but has anyone ever xeroxed the coupons and were able to use the xeroxed copies?

  9. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Photocopying coupons is “expressly prohibited” as stated on the coupon.

  10. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I did this in two transactions and got two free reusable totes and ended up going into the negative on each one. I added a chapstick, but that rang up 15% off too, so I had to “buy” two chapsticks with each transaction. Anyway, to break it down…

My first transaction I got two candles, two chapsticks, and a reusable tote for .64.

Second transaction I got one candle, one chapstick and one reusable tote for .34.

    Not bad.

  11. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I know the 3 wick one is going to be on sale for $7.99 next week(or the week after)and that there is a $3 off ESC making it only 99cents for the larger one.

  12. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks! I was on my way to get my free tote when I stopped by your site, now I get 2 FREE candles as well, plus my store has a $3 off in-store coupon this week!

  13. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Leslie – Will the #3 ESC still be good then? Doesn’t it expire 4/25?

  14. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    Hi Hip2Save,
Sorry for posting it here, but in regard to Wags’ Bayer/Crest deal:

    1. Can I redeem the Crest catalinas separately as I have a couple of those MIR forms?

    2. Is there a limit on the $5 back I would get when I buy 4 Crest products? I mean, I have more than 4 of the Bayer coupons and I already got my “first set of 4 Crest products.” Now if I buy 4 more Bayer monitors and get another 4 toothpaste catalinas, can I submit 2 “sets of Crest products” on the same rebate/address and get $10 back?

    Hope that wasn’t confusing.
    Thanks!

  15. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

woohooo!!love the candle!!Thank you so much!!

  16. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    Jem,
You can only submit for one $5EasySaver rebate. You can still purchase more and get the free toothpaste Catalina. You just won’t be able to submit for an additional rebate.

  17. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Just got 2 candles at target with the $4 off and my gift card.
Also dr. pepper on sale. Had $1 manufacture and $1 target for each of the 3 I bought. Then there is a $1 coupon in each box for next time.

  18. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    Anonymous,
This does a little depend on the cashier you get. If the manafacturer coupon exceeds the value of the item, then there is more of a problem because the coupon will beep and some cashiers will not adjust the coupon down.

With this scenario it’s different, though, because the EasySaver coupon and Manufacturer coupon don’t by themselves exceed the value of the item, so they will not beep when their scanned. I am planning on purchasing a few other items when I get the candles. That way the cashiers usually don’t pay attention and scrutize the fact that your snagging free candles.

  19. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Found out you need to give the cashier the ‘green coupon’ first, and ASK for the bag, if you want it-so she can scan the code. Can’t be done after the purchase. Would have been nice to know that. I did have to split my order up to use the RR I had, so I got one of the green bags anyway. But I thought that was a bummer to put on a promotion, and then not even have any at the register, or ask if you wanted one. Duh? Yes, I wanted one.

P.S. And then I didn’t get the RR for the 2nd transaction I realized when I got home. Grrr. 🙂

  20. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Got the last small one at my Walgreens for free. Will check another store another day. Thanks

  21. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

My walgreen cashier told me they
don’t take IP any more because
so many people tried to use copied
    coupons and that is fraud.
The coupon I had was printed out one and not copied.I didn’t feel good about how they look at costmer that way. They can’t tell which coupons are copied or not?
Anybody know if Walgreen change the rule about coupon?

  22. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I just tried to use 2 of these coupons at Target and the cashier wouldn’t let me because it says “one per purchase”. She said I would have to do 2 transactions.

It’s my understanding that purchase is different than transaction…
Has anyone else had this problem?

  23. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks. Got two lighters, 3 one aday, two candles, and a shaving cream for 2.68. Still get the 1.49 rebate and have a $3RR in my wallet!!!!!!!

  24. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    Sara,
You need to stand your ground on this issue next time and get a manage if the cashier refuses to take an additional “like” coupon.

One per purchase means one per item purchased, so if you’re purchasing 2 items you can use 2 coupons. If a manufactuer only wanted you to use the coupon once-it would state one per transaction or one per customer.

You are doing NOTHING wrong… the cashier is:)

  25. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks! That makes me feel better. I knew I was probably right, but she made me feel like a theif.
I’ll be sure to call a manager over next time.

  26. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I just tried to print and it says that I’ve reached my print limit. I printed 2 last month. Why do you suppose it did that, I thought it was reset? My walgreens hasn’t had the 5.99 soy candles the entire month!

  27. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I may be wrong, but I think that MAYBE the reason that some people turned up a profit is the way the clerk rang up the purchase. It does state on the coupon that the cashier needs the coupon before ringing up the order- my cashier typed the coupon in as an employee discount, which took the discount off of each item. This may be why a discount was allowed/accepted at the end. You’ve been a BUSY gal today–lots of great finds =)

  28. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Sara and hip2save-I just went to Target and had the same problem. I talked to a team lead who was rude as heck and then one of the managers on duty. All three said the same thing, that I had to do two transactions. I was so mad I left the candles behind. What else can I do?

  29. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I was able to get a free bag at Walgreens. I had to check out at the pharmacy because they didn’t have ‘drawers’ in at the photo or beauty counter. I realized when walking out that I didn’t get the 15% off.

Should I have gotten that on the Edge/shaving gel, 2 soy candles, 4 bags of hershey’s chocolate, 2 air fresheners?

Would the 15% off be on the subtotal, after or before coupons?

Thanks so much for the posts, saves us money & we get to try out new items.

  30. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Looks like this is dead. I couldn’t get any coupons

  31. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    I thought I posted yesterday but I guess I did something wrong…
So I went to Walgreens yesterday with my hubby (put him to work!). He wanted soda so I had him buy 3 12-packs of soda for $11… 2 of which were 7-up so I used the 2-$1 coupons that were posted making the total $9. Then he bought the $1.99 chapstick… final total $11. We also used the 15% off and free bag. We then got back $5 RR for the soda and $2 for the chapstick.

Next me: I got 6 of the small candles, 2 pringles, and a chapstick… used the 15% off coupon and got a raincheck for the free bag (they were so friendly and helpful there, they insisted on giving me the raincheck… I was OK with not getting one). Used the $2 RR from the previous purchase… final total was only $1.08!! And I still have my $5 RR for next time!!

    Whoop Whoop!

    Thanks Hip2Save.

  32. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I just wanted to say thank you for telling everyone about the coupons! I went to Walgreens yesterday and got one of the larger candles and one of the smaller ones using two of the $4 coupons and the Walgreens $2, $3, and 15% off coupons. I used the money I saved on those to get some other candles on clearance, but none of those deals were as good as this!

Also, FYI, the $4 coupons are no longer available! I went back and checked today, so I hope everyone that wanted one got theirs!

  33. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

this new fregrance candle is not on sales. Walgreens didn’t accpet this coupon to buy other cheaper candles..

  34. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

This worked for me, thanks so much! At Walgreens I got a small candle for free. I also got the large 3 wick candle for just $3. They are priced at $10, but with $3 off from Walgreens and the $4 off from the coupon the total was just $3!

  35. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    Other coupons for Glade Candles:

If you still have the SmartSource flyer from the Sunday paper on 3/29/09 there are a couple coupons for $1 off one and $3 off 2. It was on the 2nd page in my flyer.

Not as great of a deal as the current web coupon, but it’s something.

  36. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I got my candles today at target and ended up making money with my $5 target gift card for next time! thanks for posting these fabulous deals!

  37. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I just tried the link & they stated this offer no longer available. Tell me it ain’t so ??

  38. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

To those of you who are haivng issues are target –

If the manager is unable to help you and tells you something that doesn;t seem right – for ex: only one Q per purchase means you have to do seperate transacations –

First off here is the lingo:

    * a purchase = 1 item
    * a transaction = 1 and up items put together to make 1 total sale
    * 1 Q per purchase per customer = 1 Q in a transaction for a single item. ( you will not even be able to do a seperate transaction because the Q is per person/custoemr.
    * 1 Q per transaction = you can only use one Q for that one item in that transaction, but you can do a seperate transaction right than and there.
    * 1 Q per customer, per transaction, per day. Means – one item, one Q, in that one transaction – go back the next day to use another Q.

Next time you have an issue at target and the manager is not helpful all you need to do is ask them manager nicely to place the sale on hold. Go to the front of the store and use the red telephone to contact custoemr service with the manager next to you. Explain nicely what is the misunderstanding, then if you are in fact right, which many of you are – then the customer service rep will ask you to hand the phone to the manager and explain store policy and how coupons work and tell that manager to ring up your transaction.

It take less time to do that, then to go home, post here, and find out you were right, call corportate from home and go back to do that transaction.

That is what the red phone is for and the customer service will help you from home and than suggest to you to use the red phone next time.

    Hope this helps.

Everyone should ask collin to make a post about the Q lingos – this way everyone understands and also tell people about the red phone at target – plus list all the corportate phone numbers to the main stores she posts about:
    rite aid
    catalina company
    walgreens
    target
    walmart

this should help many people with their issues. I think it is great she posts about the Q policies already! Hopefully many of you print them and keep them with you, but you stil need to know what to do if the managers/cashiers still ignore the print out and want to argue wit you.
