is there a “clearance” section at walgreens, or are the products usually found with the regular priced items? thanks for any help.

  2. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

At my WAGs it is a mixed bag. There is a clearance section, but also can be mixed in with their “usual” section.

  3. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I agree with Evan and Mandy. We have a clearance end cap…but also things are on clearance through the store.

Found the Tide Lavender and is was still $6.00 and some change. Why are their prices not the same at everystore. I hate that. Talked to the manager and he was impressed with my shopping today. I gave him my wags print out and wrote “hip2save.com across the top. He was so greatful! I cut and paste the list into a word document then print it out and take it to the store with me. Don’t use those flushable wipes. They might flush, but they will clog your system. Just ask my sister. $2,000. to dig up her front yard to find the clog. YEAK

I found some of these clearance items today and I was so excited! I found a couple of different kinds of Tide marked down to 2.29 and several other cleaning products and I had coupons for all of them!. They were all located in the regular cleaning aisle. I would suggest you not wait to long to go because there are always limited quantities. I had well over $100 in merchandise today and only paid $10 oop and got $10 in r.r.’s

  6. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Nothing at my store all regular price

  7. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The Tide coupons I have are all for Stain Release. Is that what’s on clearance?

  8. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I ran out to Wags as soon as I read the post. Tide and 7th Generation detergent were all gone. They were located with the regular priced detergents.

Went to another Walgreens and they were much more $$ there, ~$6.99 and were all gone.

I did score the EPT for $.35 though. My husband lost color in his face when I pulled it out of the bag. Very funny.

One more thing to look for in the clearance section. The last Walgreens coloring book. Mine was on sale for 50 cents and the coupons inside don’t expire until 3/10

  10. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The hershey kisses with cherry cordial creme bag are also on sale for .85 cents. I used the $1.00 coupon for 10 oz. bag and it worked. It didn’t beep at all. Yayyyy!

I went to walgreens today and they told me they were not excepting online coupons anymore… and showed me a letter they recieved from corp. saying DONT EXCEPT…. but there is a huge sale and as soon as you go in there are orange tags on everything

  12. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I managed to pick up one Glade Reed Difuser on clearance for $4.49 then used a $2 off coupon. Not too bad – they didn’t have much of anything at the Wags near me…

  13. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I used several internet coupons yesterday and the sales clerk didn’t say anything about not accepting them in the future. I am a regular shopper there sometimes going multiple times a week, so I think she would have told me if they were not going to be accepting internet coupons in the future. Maybe it’s a local thing.

  14. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I’m still having problems with my WAG letting me use coupons for more than the product cost. Especially if I try to use them on clearanced items. Any suggestions? Does anyone know their coupon policy for sure?

  15. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I found those 2 oz glade soy candles clearanced for $.82 and the clerk wouldn’t let me use my $2 off 2 coupon. I think the RR was still printing out, so I got them anyway. But this is getting fustrating.

  16. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I found WG’s brand of Gain on clearance for $2.19.I went to 3 different WG’s (we have them on every corner here in Atlanta) to stock up but each one had a different price. 1st store was 2.19, 2nd was 2.29 and 3rd was 5.99. Funny since all 3 stores are within are within 5 miles of each other. Although I prefer Tide, I couldn’t pass up a 2.19 for a bottle that washes 56 loads. So excited!

  17. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I guess some of the markdown prices are different because of location and the origingal price of that product in that location. Although, we have 3 wags within a five mile radius and sometimes the markdowns are still different!

  18. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    Don’t Except mean Accept???
Well,Anyway Walgreens web site offer some print out coupons….So
doesn’t make any sense that they don’t take IP coupons.
I used IP coupons last week without problem 🙂

I ran into an issue yesterday where the cashier told me their manager told them that they could only take 1 coupon per transaction. (She was going to let me do 15 transactions..LOL) I called 1-800 Walgreens to complain. Why does it seem like no one at Walgreens has the correct information or is this a new policy? Anyhow the Manager called me back today and told me that we can use more than 1 coupon per transaction as long as each item is different. He also said they were told they can’t do more that 1 of the same coupon in 1 transaction. For instance I wouldn’t be able to buy 5 tide detergents and have 5 manufacturers coupons (1 for each. They would have to have separate transactions for each. This makes absolutely no sense at all since it requires a lot more work on their part. The manager was very nice and he is frustrated as well but has said this new policy has been given to him and each employee had to sign a paper with this information. I told him that I would like to talk with the person who has implemented this policy to see why and see documentation on their reasoning. this guy was very nice and is going to forward my information on to higher up people. We’ll see what happens. Has anyone else had this happen to them recently?

  20. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

My WAGS freaks if there is overage. What I try to do is get enough items that the cost is more than the value of the coupons.

So, for example, the 2 oz. soy coupons that were .82 – get 3, cost is 2.46, then use the $2/2 coupon. You end up with 3 for .46 & no beeps at the register.

Of course I would prefer overage, but my store is good at accepting coupons otherwise & it is worth keeping it that way!
