Guest Post: Online Offers!
Guest Post By Nicole from Nicole’s Nickels:
I know many of you have started to do online offers and in the past few weeks those of you who did an offer the last time I guest posted for Collin have received your gift cards! Both Collin and I have received several emails asking for more offers, so here they are!
New to online offers?
Definitely read my previous posts (here, here, and here), as well as the comments to those posts. Just about every question you may have has been answered there. If you have any other questions, email (nicolesnickels@gmail.com) or leave a comment on this post or on my blog somewhere. It’s better to ask the question than to do something you aren’t sure of and have it result in an unsuccessful offer.
It is very possible to be successful with these offers and get a $500 gift card for even less than $50 out of pocket! Remember, you can only earn $1,000 in prizes from each Ideal sub-company (i.e. Bullseye, 123, etc.), so choose wisely!
At the time of this posting, none of the offers below require referrals. All are do-it-yourself offers, which is much easier. Offers can change at any time, so be sure to review the terms and conditions before registering! I noticed some of these $500 offers are for 2-2-8 offers while others are 2-2-4 offers. Obviously the 2-2-4’s are a better deal, but I’ve included them all in case some of you have already completed offers before and need to pay attention to sub-companies.
If you’re brand new to online offers, I recommend you do this $500 Visa gift card offer through Top Notch.

Hip2Save here: I just want to let you all know, these gift cards do come! My sister did the Wii and Wii Fit offer that was posted previously and she received them! Yay! I’ve also had numerous readers email about receiving their FREE gifts too! If you’ve done any of these types of offers previously, I’d love to hear your thoughts on them!
I’ve done many many offers in the last few years. What is the turnaround time for these offers? Some offers I’ve done have taken up to 6 mos to get.
I did one and from start to finish (received) it was 3 months for a $500 gift card-I am addicted to these, but you have to be really careful.
Yeah I got denied for the 500.. I did everything to the T they said I registered for another offer which I did not im the only here in my house so that is impossible.. just becareful with these
When you do these offers and give your personal information…Do you have telemarketers calling? and Has anyone had any trouble with these? Whats the most your going to spend doing the 2-2-4? So you cancel after you do the 2-2-4?
I tried to sign up for these and I went through the whole process, signed up for the offers and was told the offer is no longer available. Now I am signed up for everything and won’t receive the gift card! I think these deals are a scam.
I am really new at this and I wanting a little more clarification. These offers that are mentioned, do they cost you money? If I’m understanding this correctly, you pay out of pocket for the offers, and then get the gift card? Is this correct. Thanks to anyone for answering this and please share any other vital information. I would love to try this, but want to make sure I do it correctly.
I did one and had such a terrible time with 1 of the companies. The last I could check on my status it said the very first one (and the one I had a problem with the company) was still pending. When i tried to check again, i was out of my 60 days to do anything so it wouldnt give me an update. i’ve emailed them several times and never heard anything back
Soooo . . . what does 2-2-4 and 2-2-8 mean?
found the answer to my own questions . . . 🙂
2-2-4 refers to the number of offers required to earn the gifts. The ones I have looked at have different levels like gold silver or bronze and you take 2 offers from one level 2 offers from the next level and 4 offers from the last level. I have never felt the need to participate in these because of the follow-up involved but if you’ve got the time go for it! Just be careful which offers you choose or you could end up spending a lot of money!
I’m a newbie here and I just read all of the previous posts as instructed but I’m still confused. Could someone just give me the definition of an “offer” and let me know how much everything usually costs? So for the $500 visa gift card, for example, how much will I spend to complete all the steps?
Also, there was a mention of a “virtual credit card number,” but no definition of that. Could someone fill me in?
THANKS!
Some banks/credit card co. can give you a one time use “virtual cc #” to use to pay for something online. It is a different number but still attached to your credit card.
hth!
I just wanted to gieve everyone an FYI..that $500 Visa gift card site I tried to access from work and was blocked because it is a known website that infects spyware. Just wanted to make everyone aware 🙂 And thanks for all the hard work on this site…it’s AWESOME!
Hi everyone! It really is possible to do these and they aren’t a scam. You just need to read the directions carefully and follow them!
Anon 8:42 – The turn around is typically 2-3 months, start to receipt of prize.
Anon 8:50 – Yes, if someone else from your house did one of these that could be the reason why. It’s one per household.
Anon 8:52 – I’ve done several offers and have never had a telemarketer call once. Talking about cancelling is against the terms and conditions so I won’t go here. You can expect to spend anywhere from $30-$50 out of pocket for your first offer, but it depends on the offers you sign up for, etc.
Anon 9:18 – I’m sorry you had a bad experience. I would make sure that you are signing up from the correct page. If so, sent Ideal an email with the offer details and they can usually help out.
Anon 9:18 part 2: Yes, offers do cost money. You complete the required number of offers and then get your prize!
Anon 9:23 – That’s what replacement offers are for! Sometimes offers don’t credit so you need to do replacements. I advise to do replacements after day 13.
Anon 9:42 – Offers are the prize you are choosing (i.e. $500 giftcard) and also the sub-offers. For example, you need to do say 2 silver offers, 2 gold offers and 4 platinum offers to get your giftcard. A virtual credit card number is a number issued by some credit card companies to protect your number online. I would check with your credit card company to see if they offer it – I know Discover and Citibank do.
fancynancypants1: Most jobs have very very strict firewalls. That site doesn’t come up as spyware on my PC and I have been doing these offers for a while now with no issues on my computer!
Is it dangerous to use a debit card? I don’t have a credit card.
Also, do you recommend the $500 top notch visa gift card for the first timers?
Thanks!
Nicole there is nobody else living at my house but me so it was impossible for anyone else to use my computer. I had to mail the legal dept as they wont accept email or a phone call.. I did everything mapped it all out and to get denied.. And yes you do get calls from telemarketers but you can just say to take you off the list as they wont bother you again..
I did the 500 card and got the card within 2 months. You have to read the terms on EVERYTHING. Like Nicole says, you have to be very careful and read the fine print. When I did mind, I did a whole slew of offers. More than that was required, just in case. Alot of them never got approved, I just watched it carefully, everyday. You also have to make sure your not trying more than 1 offer from the same parent company. It works. Buy a visa gift card to use when signing up for your offers. When your done, go use the balance on groceries or something. I spent any where from $50-$75 on the offers. Was well worth it and I got to try some nice stuff.
Has anyone done the PS3 yet?
Oh and I did the one from top notch
Thanks for all the information! I haven’t done one of these offers for a couple years. I’ve gotten 2 $1000 checks, and a 42″ Plasma tv. The tv cost me around $80 and my friends were JEALOUS! They didn’t believe me that I was going to get one. It’s not a scam. You just have to cross your t’s and dot your i’s all in the right order or they will deny you. It’s a very delicate process. I have been thinking of finding offers to do and this post confirms that I have to do a couple. I miss the extra money.
Hi! Have you actually done the Visa $500 gift card offer yourself? Just curious as to why you recommend that one. Thanks! -Lindsay
I am so excited I have been waiting for some more of these to post. I did the last ones and it was great! I tried to do one on my own and it turned out bad. So I learned my lesson stick with the goods ones you hear other people have done successfully. Thanks Nicole and Hip!
Anon 10:18 – Do NOT use a debit card to do these. You can buy a prepaid Visa and register it to use online. The reason is with a debit charge if you get overcharged or something happens you are out the money pending investigation. With a credit card, you just refuse to pay and dispute it.
Anon 10:22 – Not sure what happened with yours. Are you following up? I have never gotten a call from a telemarketer from these or heard of anyone getting calls from telemarketer so maybe your calls were from something else.
Lindsay: I have done several offers, a Wii and Wii Fit and $500 giftcard. I recommend that one because many of the prize offers are for less than $500 but are the same number of offers. You can choose any of them you want though!
There are offers like this from many different companies. The ones I post are all from Ideal and are legit! I can’t recommend offers from other companies since I haven’t done them personally.
I have a question about the $500 gift card you recommended for someone new. When you get to the gold, platinum…page there is a place that say that you can either complete the purity mineral science offer or do complete the 2 or 4 offers on the page. I’m confused I signed up for the mineral offer and now I don’t know what to do.
These offers work!! This month I received a $500 Visa gift card and a $500 Toys R Us gift card. It took about two months from start to finish. The key is to be Organized. I only had one company charge me but when I called they refunded it immediately.
Nicole.. Yes I sent the letter last week.. thing is thats all I can do they wont correspond via email or telephone.. looks like im SOL!
thats great all you guys get this stuff.. And you all report this on your taxes right?
I’ve done the $500. gift card. While, I did receive it and in a timely manner. I had lot’s of trouble with 2 of the companies that I signed up with. So my OOP was around $140.00. Still a profit, but a huge headache for me. Also, you have to use a credit card not a debit. That will make things a lot easier. Overall, for my family, I have decided these are too much work and stress for the payoff. But that is just my opinion on my 1 experience. 10 years ago I was a struggling single mom and I soo wish I knew about these offers then.
You do have to claim these on your taxes and they can fall under luxury tax. We got an Apple lap top a few years ago and ended up paying as much in taxes as we would have for the lap-top. It does depend on your income, what you claim, etc…but just to warn you.
I have the same question with the bonus offer on the top of the Gold, Silver and Platinum pages. It says to try an 8 piece set for $1 plus $7.95 shipping then right below it, it says,”If you do not want to do the above offer, then complete the 2 (or 4) offers below. Does that mean that I should do the bonus offer on the Platinum page and that would equal doing 4 offers on the Platinum page? It’s a little confusing to me also. I don’t want to mess this up.
I would do 2 offers on the page no matter what. That way there isn’t a problem down the road.
As for taxes. I got a 1099 to turn in with taxes. Keep your receipts and use them as deductions because you incurred costs to get them. When I got the tv I didn’t have to pay a lot on taxes for it. I just had to claim what it was worth. It wasn’t luxury tax.
I got my 500.00 check ! See mine

Elaine and Eabates: You still need to do a second offer for that level. You’ll get your bonus for doing the bonus offer but it won’t come for like 6 months! They do come though!
Anon 11:55 – You must send in a W-9 with your redemption form so yes, you are paying tax on the item.
yuck you have to claim taxes.. doesnt seem worth it
Do i need to refer a friend to get the $ 500 gift card from tech Notch. and also, is that freind also need to be sign in to same?
I’ve been researching doing the Top Notch $500 gift card and read that you can do offers from the same company. I’m confused. Does that mean, for example, that I can’t order the do the offers where one is for Silkies microfiber pantyhose and the other is for Silkies control top pantyhose? Thanks for clarifying!
I have done two since mid July. The first one was for a $500 Visa giftcard and I received it with 2 months. The second one, I started Sept 14th and it was approved for processing on October 12th!! This one is for a $500 Home Depot card. By the time I return the products I have tried out, I am usually out of pocket about $60.00!! Very time consuming but so very worth it!!
I have attempted to complete two of the offers, and after I have spent the time going through the whole thing, and it asks me to choose the silver offers, etc., every single one says it is expired. Why is that?
Anon 8:54 – I do not recommend doing the refer a friend offers and when I posted none of the offers involved referrals. With referrals, yes, the person you refer needs to complete all of the offers as well. Which offer requires referrals? Let me know, please.
Emma: The terms state you cannot duplicate offers from the same parent company and doing so will get you disqualified. So yes, you certainly can’t do offers from the exact same company let alone offers that you may not know are related. You need to do the research I’ve suggested in my previous posts to find out if companies are related.
The Riries: How long ago did you register on the site originally, by register I mean enter your email address on the first page? If it was over 60 days ago then your registration has expired.
How long do you need to wait to cancel offers before you will qualify for the $500.00 gift card?
I just submitted my first one last night. It took about 3 hours to complete, but we’ll see if it’s worth it. As of right now, both of my Silver offers have already been approved!!! I’ll keep you posted 🙂
Okay last night I signed up for a bunch of stuff with the beginner’s $500 Visa card one. Later I tried to get to it and it doesn’t load and in the web address it says offer closed!!
My bank just denied all the charges for me. I don’t think I had qualified for anything yet, so I’m wondering… If I sign up for the same offers with another giftcard deal, will they qualify? It wouldn’t be the first time I signed up with them, I guess. Bummer ’cause I was going to sign up for Netflix and NSA anyway and they would have counted. I had the NSA charge declined by my bank too. Bah.
Anon 6:00 – I can’t talk about cancelling, it’s not allowed as per their terms.
Cambria – You’re doing great! Keep me posted.
Kate 10:01 – I just checked the link you used again and it’s working just fine. Maybe clear your cookies on your browser?
Kate 10:24 – I don’t know the answer to your question. You can try but run the risk of getting DQ’d.
I just cleared the cookies, clicked the link again, and got the same thing. I’m extra bummed if I canceled all that for no reason!
I tired in Internet Explorer too just now and it just indefinitely thinks it’s trying to open.
In Firefox it was saying there was an infinite loop going and that it wouldn’t open and I saw closedoffer at the end of the web address.
Is this link really working for everybody else? I’m clicking the same thing from this post that I clicked when I signed up (a few times!) and it’s not working.
OK Nicole –
I’ve done my offers. Am waiting to see how it all turns out! Only thing tho – I did the ‘bonus’ offer which is supposed to count as ‘2’… So I’ll monitor that closely… Thanks!
Laura: The bonus offer does not count as 2 (or at least hasn’t in the offers I have done in the past) so I would suggest doing another one in that category.
Kate: I haven’t gotten any other comments or emails that the link isn’t working and it’s working fine from both of my computers. Is there another computer you can try?
=( I’m on my other computer and it is doing the same thing! I have no idea what to do!
Has anyone had trouble with ThinAction? I tried to sign up for it but it gave me an error because I didn’t put in Mrs. Then it gave me a similar error that didn’t make any sense and I couldn’t find anything wrong with my form. I tried it again and still got the error. Then when my bank called with the fraud alert thing they said I had a charge from ThinAction. Never got an email from them or anything confirming an order! That’s why they wanted to replace my card and they said they thought it was a scam. Today I got a call from a third party company that verifies shipping addresses for ThinAction. Still no email from ThinAction though. I think they are fishy! I’m glad my account is closed because I bet they’d start charging me the big monthly amount and say I didn’t order from them. I have no way to prove that I did. ‘Cause really I didn’t!
Goodness, I’m having issues, huh?!
