Penzeys Spices: FREE Jar of Spice + FREE Catalog!
Do I have any readers with a Penzeys Spices store nearby?
Well, if you’re not sure, you can go here and check store locations.
Anyway, if you do have one nearby, you may be able to score some FREE spices! Holly, a reader, emailed about Penzeys Spices Catalogs she receives in the mail on a regular basis. On each catalog she has found a peel off coupon for a FREE jar of spice–NO other purchase required! The spice jars retails for around $5, so this seems like a very sweet deal!
If you’d like to request a FREE catalog, just go here and fill out the catalog request form. Penzeys Spices sends out seven catalogs a year, so you may be able to score 7 FREE spices!
I am not lucky enough to have a spice store nearby, but I’m hoping some of you are!
I have one nearby and I love it but the prices can be a little steep so this is wonderful! Thanks.
We have one nearby as well (Dallas area)! thanks so much for posting this, we love Penzeys!! My husband will be so happy when he finds out!
we have one nearby, but I have never been. A friend always raves about it, but I can’t see spending $5 for a small jar of spice, when I can get it for 88¢ at Job Lot. Thanks to this promo., I can check it out!
You get a lot for your money! You’d be surprised how much better a cookie will taste with good vanilla rather than grocery store vanilla. It’s the difference between homemade and gormet!
this unrelated, but i wanted to let you know something. i did the omaha steak order last year where we got the free hamburgers, etc & i haven’t ordered since. well then last week, they sent me in the mail a $20 gift card to “get me back”! i used it online & it covers shipping too. i got the chicken alfredo dish for $2 or $3 in the end. PLUS last week they were running a promotion where you got 4 huge franks & 6 hamburgers with any order. (not sure if that is still going on now.) anyhow, so i got all that for $2-$3! just thought i would let everyone know who ordered from them before, that if you haven’t ordered since, start looking in your mailbox for a gift card! 🙂
Not to mention the catalogs are like food porn. Some really great ideas in them!
I LOVE Penzey’s, but we don’t have one nearby as well. I save my coupons that I get with my catalogs and if I’m traveling check to see if they have one in that town. Last month, we went to St. Louis and I had two free coupons that were both valid (Poultry Seasoning and Cinnamon) – so I got those for free. 🙂 I think the coupon also says that you can mail it in with a mail order order!?
Penzey’s is REALLY good. I love their cinnamon (their new one and their Chinese Casia Cinnamon), their Madagascar Double Strength Vanilla (expensive — but SO worth it), and their Italian seasonings (basil, pizza seasoning, pasta sprinkle, etc.)
We have one in Houston and I love it. It has great gift sets for Christmas under $20. In each set they come with cinnamon sticks, hazelnuts and bay leafs. I gave the Grill Set for family last year and it was a hit. These spices are great quality and worth the price. I’m sure I’ll be visiting again soon.
Thanks – just signed up – I have one just down the street from my house.
Penzey’s is AMAZING! I received a gift pack of 8 different kinds and my hubby and I LOVE them. The pork chop seasoning is probably our fav. Just rub it on and throw ’em on the grill. GREAT flavor! This will be wonderful to restock our favorite kinds!
We have been loyal to Penzeys for years. I love their catalogs. Lots of great recipes. The quality and diversity of spice is amazing, and makes a difference when cooking. I usually buy the pouches, and they last for a long time.
Try them. You won’t be disappointed!
Penzey’s is awesome! I ordered from their website for years before I moved to an area that has a store. Their spices are the best! The prices are actually very reasonable, considering the flavor and freshness. Many of their items are around the $2 mark for 1/4 of a jar–much cheaper than grocery store prices, especially for special items like tarragon or cumin–and the size is just what you need instead of those gigantic (stale) ones. I won’t buy my spices anywhere else. The coupons for the freebies can be used for a mail/web order, if I’m not mistaken. The catalogs are also wonderful sources of information about how to use spices in your cooking. There are always reader’s recipes, too–I’ve found some real ‘keepers’.
Love the Chinese Casia Cinnamon. You have never had real cinnamon till you try it. There spices are well worth the price, and the magazine is filled with great receipes.
We LOVE Penzey’s, too! We have a Penzey’s nearby and we won’t buy spices anywhere else. You can’t believe the difference between their spices and the grocery store stuff – even for things like Black Pepper and Garlic Powder! Before our store arrived we did mail order, and almost always they included a small size jar of something extra with the order! It was always a nice surprise to get a freebie and to try something I might not have ordered otherwise. Don’t know if they still do that or not…
I just called to request my catalog, I didn’t want to wait the 6-8 weeks. “We will get that out in todays mail” the operator said!!! I am so excited I can hardly stand it! I love reading all the great comments about the products from others. Thanks girls!
Notice all my !!! I am really excited!
I have one not too far away and already received my catalog. I’ll be in Appleton, WI this weekend where there is another Penzy’s and will go get my free spice!
These are really good quality spices, and they have such cute gift baskets too!
This company has THE best spices, especially their own blends and they have the best cinnamon I’ve ever used – Cassia Vietnamese cinnamon – same exact cinn that Cinnabon uses.
My sister-in-law has mail ordered from Penzeys for years…she convinced me to try it. I now buy all my spices there. I am fortunate to have a store in town (Houston) and recently started getting the catalogs in the mail witht the free coupons. (yay) The quality and freshness of their spices are so worth it. I will second the vote for the Cassia Vietnamese cinnamon. Awesome!! If you like to cook or eat then quality spices are for you.
I got my catalog today, but there is no coupon- bummer. Maybe I will get one on the next issue.
