(Thanks, SD!)
I keep getting the message install coupon activator – – after I installed it it said it would prnt and prints NOTHING! Can’t get any Target Q to print anymore. Anyone know what to do to fix it? Can’t print Q at Target Kiosk either. I get the same message, Yikes!
Okay! Just got back from Target. I knew this would be a sticky one to work so I went to customer service to avoid any trouble to get this. The Kodak disposable camera was located in electronics, not near the main checkout registers on the endcaps with gums. They were priced at $6.24 each and so I grabbed 2 and proceeded to check out at Cust. Service counter. (Well along with glade tin deal and the soap buddies deal) Now that I know Target policy, I was ready. 😀
She tells me, “the picture on the Target Web coupon is for the digital, and since it won’t let me take it you can’t use this on the disposable camera.” She also tells me the soap buddies is not a baby item and that’s why the coupon for it won’t work. I tell her that the Kodak coupon does not specify digital anywhere in writing. I also add the Johnson and Johnson coupon will have to be adjusted down. She gets another girl over there and this one is over several areas- she tells me this- and she also says this deal will not work. Yes, keep reading, it does get better. Another red shirt employee (store mgr. or someone like that this time) comes over and tells the Cust. Service cashier that the $5 coupon does not specify digital and so they must honor it. He also tells her to adjust down the Johnson & Johnson coupon to .97 cents.
I was impressed. The higher up personnel know their own policy, the others do not.
I had my Target policy ready but didn’t need to pull it out.
This time I didn’t get nervous about all the fuss or the possibility of it now working because I am learning if you are nice and patient with them, sooner or later there are higher ups who know the policy and honor it. 🙂

For all Windows 7 users the Target coupon printer is now fixed and working great.Just downloaded mine
Target wouldn’t let me use it, saying the coupon was only for a ‘permanent’ camera and not intended for disposables of any kind.
This was even after he scanned the coupon and it ACCEPTED it!! It didn’t beep or give any indication it couldn’t be used. Then, he looked at the register screen and said the coupon value was higher than the cost of the camera and I couldn’t use it. So, he took the 5.00 back off. Bummer.
Got three cameras, priced at 3.84 each with the overage!! Also lots of free batteries and a compliment from the cashier!
I got 2 today, no problem, no beeps, gave me overage and everything!! Also got some FREE BATTERIES!!
THANK YOU HIP!
My Targets out here in Modesto are SO GREAT! I really feel for all of you with Nazi Targets. Mine in Sacramento were the SAME way before I moved here. I feel you pain!
I went to Target today and got two of the cameras, a Blueberry Special K, two Steaz Teas, a Kellogg’s All-Bran crackers, and eight of the Purina cat treats. The total after coupons came to 22 cents. My teenage guy cashier didn’t change his bored expression through my whole transaction. Yippeee! Thanks so much, Hip!
I got the same msg. when trying to print the Target Qs but then I clicked the little pop-up blocker banner thing at the top of my screen, then Run and it worked. I am running Vista.
The cheapest cameras I saw today were 6.24 so I’m checking another Target and hoping for free cameras!
Tried to get the free cameras. They wouldn’t take the coupons they said it wasn’t for disposables but did get my free swiss miss and tea.
Got 2 cameras at $3.84. THe coupon wouldn’t scan, so she called the “manager” over and said it wouldn’t work. I stated the coupon doesn’t state digital and asked would she simply adjust it down to 3.84. She said that made sense and did so. The cashier stated that when a manager does it, it doesn’t come back on the cashier and said “Target didn’t pay attention to that detail, did they?” and smiled. Being nice always helps!
Hey everyone had a quick question.. is it just me or is there no coupon for the camera because i checked it three different times holiday catalog section and nothing came up?
Thanks
I dont see it anymore either. Target must of catched up on it.
I cant get the coupon to print…. dang!
Just printed the coupons. They are still there. Click on ‘Holiday Catalog’ and go to page 4. Might be a different page for you. It has a picture of a blue digital camera on it. Good Luck
Target couponing has become true headache for me! I took about 50-80 coupons to the store with me yesterday. When I got to the cashier she immediately called a supervisor over without even attempting to scan them. The supervisor – get this – takes my entire stack of coupons to the SECURITY guard! He walks over and tells me that that the coupons with the Target logo I can use, but all other internet coupons, they will not take.
I immediately pulled out my Target policy and warned that I would get corporate on the phone. They went through all of my coupons BEFORE they even scanned 1 and said they looked legit… While she scanned along going through each item 1 by 1 she stopped and pulled out a coupon and said I couldn’t use it because it had been copied which it had NOT! My printer was running out of ink and the print was off on the color, but the black was in tack. I just said whatever and had them take the items off my bill.
All in all I was in the checkout for 45 minutes and left with a complete headache! And of course the buy cereal deal and get the OJ free did not work and I was charged for the OJ.
Candice,
That’s crazy! What was the point of the security guard? I wonder if they were they afraid you would start acting out.
Always know/carry the Target coupon policy. I was denied, my coupons actually did (beep)stop the register screen. I told her the price and that she would need to adjust the coupon lower. I got the we don’t do that/we can’t do that from 2 cashiers. I said OK I have your coupon policy can you ask your supervisor. Supervisor said adjust them down, that is what we do.
Don’t assume the cashier knows what they are doing or knows the rules just because they work there.
The security guard came to approve that my coupons weren’t fraudulent.
CRAZY!
This deal was awesome! I had my husband take the coupon while he was shopping there today and told him to try it out (if it didn’t work it’s not a huge deal). Apparently it did beep, but after confirming he actually was purchasing the camera, she took off $5 even though the camera was $3.84. Thanks for the heads up on this deal!
Worked like a charm for me. The young cashier said…you can’t do this, I said why, he said it will be negative. I said ok let me get some candy…My boys were excited. We got 4 cameras, 3 pks gum and 4 ring pops for $.74. My boys and I skipped out of the store!!!
Worked for me..and I got overage!
I was at the Target 20 minutes away this morning, they took the X-Box hardware/ points card coupon on a generic. No problem with the Rayovac batteries and the ladies thought it was awesome.
I went to the Target near us tonight for the camera’s they were crazy. Said, no cash back…
I told them it was fine, that the coupon adjusts down per store policy and they said it was for dig. cameras. I wasn’t going to argue because the manager in the morning seems to be fairly lax so I will check tomorrow.
My coupon clearly states, “5 dollars off a camera OR digital frame.” It does not specify digital OR disposable.
I got two of the HD Disposible Cameras for 6.24 each and two packs of the rayovac batteries. Checked out with a teenage boy at the electronics counter and there was no problem. I saw there were other disposibles for 3.84 but I just wasn’t sure about how that would go down. Spent 2.83 and I’m happy with that! Maybe next time I will be bolder but for my first try at target i’m content!
The manager at Target was hostile about taking the coupon and refused. I then left my $95 worth of merchandise there and told him there I had not bought anything that I could not get elsewhere. Target is habitually uncooperative regarding coupons and I have decided to quit shopping there entirely.
my target did not have the cameras on sale. bummer. but i did get my free swiss miss!!
SCORED 2 of them today!!!! =)
SCORED 2 of them today!!!! =)
Got my two tonight…no problems. They were $3.86 a piece, so had $1.16 x 2 = $2.32 overage. Also got free tea and free batteries. My Target must be a little better than most.
Went to Target tonight by my friends house ( Fullerton, Ca) to get the cameras, and was told that the coupon was only good for a digital camera. I politely asked where it stated that on my coupon, she said, it doesn’t, but that the picture is of a digital and that’s all that it was good for. She then scanned it and it went thru, and then said, oh, it must be a mistake, and then voided the whole thing and called her mgr. The manager said, NO, we won’t accept this coupon, and since the line was sooo long I decided to leave.
Went to my regular Target by my house(Whittier, Ca) and got 2 cameras, no problem! I LOVE my local Target!
I only took one coupon today to try it out and it worked. I try and go to the same gal each time. She just looks at the screen and pushes the coupon through anyway. Thanks for the info. on this deal!! YAHOO.
I had to fight a bit, but was able to get the $3.89 Fun Size Disposable Camera with the Q! Thanks again! Target was behaving, but the cashier I had tonight said that he would get in trouble for letting me use the $1 Johnsons Shampoo – Any on the Travel size. I wish Target could figure their policies out.
Yay!!! Collin todau I used 2 kodak qs got my cameras for 1.24 each and 8 packs of free batteries. also had a sale at Meijer kelloggs cereal for 249 used the 5/4 + 2 $1/1 qs for six boxes of cereal . 14.96- 7.00- 3$ store q on six boxes then used Meijer cash for 5$ total paid for 6 boxes (17 oz ) Fruit Loops and Apple Jacks…… drum roll please ……..0.17…… and still had another 2$ Meijer money used on a gal of milk 0.33 .Total today for cereal and milk 0.50 . Thank Thank Thank You……. Still on my coupon High
I can only get the Target site to print one q per computer now that they have changed everything…that said, I did get an extra one to print somehow…I’m not even going to try to figure it out! LOL The Kodak FunSaver disposables are $3.84 at our target and I also bought a pack of socks for my youngest ($6.99). I took it all to the electronics dept and checked out there since that is where the cameras were located. The guy said the screen told him the q amount was too much, but it took the $5 off anyway, so he didn’t really see a problem – it wasn’t expired, it says ANY Kodak camera & I bought Kodak cameras. I ended up paying $0.03…and he was so impressed! He told me “Wow, that’s a great deal!” and I acknowledged that it was and said thank you and told him to have a great night, LOL! Sometimes it pays off to check out at a “non-traditional” register if you don’t have too many items – i.e., the electronics dept registers, the tire & lube registers at wal-mart, etc. I usually have luck at the “not the usual registers” because the people don’t usually see qs and don’t care as much — YMMV there too, though!
Candice, please call Corporate at Target and complain. Also I’d never do more than about 20-25 q’s in a transaction – it’s too hard to keep track and they think you’re trying to put one over on them.
They use the Security Guard thing at Safeway. Like they are trained in Q forgery- yah right! lol… It is an intimidation tactic to keep you from using your Q’s – please complain and make a big stink to Corporate!
Also Heads Up Gals & Guys: The $5 camera Q has moved to Toys – it’s still there, just moving around!
I went shopping at the Target 20 mins away today, I got in line with the lax looking cashier but the black girl called me over, I was hesitant because there is a huge racial tension issue around us but she was great!
I had 8 packs of the dollar bin batteries with q’s, 2 packs of tape a dollar each, the two cameras, and a fifteen dollar remote control dog. Total…. 15.01! It looks like I got overage on the 3.84 cent funsaver.
I had an additional q in the diaper bag covered up, went back in and tried to get the Swiss Mist (out) with the Motts Juice and same camera, unfortunately it broke even and they wouldn’t allow it… I decided not to argue and took the juice even though I had the Q policy.
Went to the one in town, to the E- counter, checked out without a prob. Pointed out BEFORE handing the Q over that it was for a camera, did not specify dig/ dis. or a min. amount no problem…. FREE.
Went to the main counter, had to bust out the Q policy and threaten to call corporate because they didn’t want to adjust the price down. Manager came over and took care of it, no problems.
Moral: I would play the ditzy, negotiator, with the Q policy in hand, ask and point out what the Q says!
Hello! Thanks Hip to Save! I got $45.00 worth of stuff at Target tonight for only $2.43! Awesome. The Camera deal works great!
I can’t find the camera at my target? the cheapest one I found was $6.49. Can anyone tell me where they found them?
Allison, it was in electronics at our store. I noticed in Walgreens ad this week that the same camera I picked up pre-Q for 3.84 was 4.99 on sale at Walgreens.
Posters have listed different prices and all Targets do not carry the same stock. I would check back this week.
I used two of these coupons over the weekend. Of course it beeped but I explained to the manager that was called over that the coupon says “any Kodak camera”–it doesn’t say digital camera. After pointing this out the put the coupon through and even gave me the overage. Yea!!

Just emailed Target my complaint.
Apparently Target has changed the coupon to only be available for online purchase.
They moved the funsaver camera’s to the toy section at my Target – if you have an older camera Q leftover – try looking there.
I got 2 cameras tonight, no problem. I was also buying other things. Cameras were $3.84 but the coupon took $5 off my bill. The Q beeped, but the (young male cashier) just pushed it through.
Just got two free cameras + overage. I also got three packs of batteries, baking soda and EPT tests. My total was 3.18!!! The activity ball was 15.99 still here!
