    Got it…thanks.

  2. AnnMarie

I did this the last time you posted it-be sure to say you won’t give feed back because they called me 5 times!
On the plus side, my husband loved it!

    • Mike

      Read my comments below!

I’m gonna pass on this one…Spark is a product of the MLM company Advocare…once they have your info, they’ll call you even if you say you won’t give feedback. UGH! BEWARE!

On the plus side, I’m lovin’ your deals that you post! THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!! 🙂

    • JO3

      A.Marie,
Thank you for the info. I will skip this one then. I was on the fence because i have never heard of them. But i do not need more people calling during diner time, lol
      thank you

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

They are a reputiable company, however, they get their product out by way of independant retailers like Mary Kay and Avon; get the sample, but use a fake numeber or type in all zeros, and fill in your junk email address or else you will have a lot of people calling you trying to buy product from them.

      • A.Marie

The problem isn’t so much that they will call you, the problem is the fact that you have to give your shipping address. Unless you have a fake name and address that you can send this to, the company now will have that information to add to their database. I’m not saying that this particular company will do this, but MLM companies have been known to forward this type of information (names/addresses) to distributors. Trust Me on this one. My husband was in a MLM for awhile (very popular for selling soap) and I learned some of the “inside” tips and tricks. I learned enough to despise the whole thing.

And, No. Hubby is NOT in that business anymore. I pulled the plug on THAT dream!

    • momwhocares

I ordered this and you’re right. They called me yesterday and myhubby answered and they were asking if we tried it yet and invited us to some place locally to check out a new business. It was like a fitness center, and they wanted us to go at a certain time. I guess they were calling many peopel locally and asking them to go.

    • Mike

      A. Marie,

Network marketing companies aren’t as bad as you may think they are….some may be, but not AdvoCare. I just received over 125 leads and if someone isn’t interested at all I leave them alone. However, on average, it usually does take someone 6 or so times to hear about something to check it out, so follow up is key just like a lot of things.

Check out my comments below…AdvoCare is truly a great company with great products.

  4. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Ok am I the only one that thinks their packaging looking very similar to condoms? Hmmmmm

    • julia

YES! i thought the same thing! And with a name like “Sparks” it seemed fitting!

      • Dee

Yep, that’s what I though. Note to self: READ headline before jumping to conclusions!!

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

THAT is exactly what I thought it was! 😀

    • momwhocares

I didn’t notice – But, than again – I don’t use condoms and haven’t since I was 18. I was engaged and after 4 years engaged we seperated and then I met my now hubby a month after I left the 4year relationship. I am now 30, so I almost wouldn’t know what a condom wrapper looked like. It wasn’t liek I slept with my hubby when we first met up front or anything and then I went on birth control, so we wouldn’t have to use them when that time came, after 5 years we decided to get married and have kids and now we have a 13 mnth and a 1 week old 🙂

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Wow, “mom”, don’t you think that was a little too much information? I’m glad that things have worked out for you now, but it really was a little too much to know that you haven’t used protection for about 20 years.

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I Agree…thought this was a very strange comment!

          • Craig

TMI FOR SURE. but yeah I thought it was codoms at first glance too LOL! I will skip this MLM bs!.

    • Tracy

OMG! That’s exactly what I thought!

  5. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Yes Tammy I thought the exact same thing and I was just going to comment about it too LOL

  6. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

OMG I just came here to comment about the packaging looking like condoms! Weird. Glad I am not the only one who thought that!

  7. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Only get this if you want to be contacted. I know someone who calls people after they sign up for this sample and they definitely are doing this for the purpose of recruiting you to purchase and sell their products.

It seems to be a pyramid scheme, but I am not familiar with every detail.

    • Mike

      Lou,

Corporare America is a “pyramid scheme.” Many times, a lot of people aren’t going to be successful at something if people below them aren’t successful. In AdvoCare, I don’t get paid just by getting people signed up. It is a product driven company and the more people’s lives I impact through these products the bigger my paychecks get; However, you could also make money as well by sharing products with friends and family. Its like anything…if you like something you’ll tell someone about it and chances are they will check it out. If you loved these products you are going to tell people!

  8. Karen

I signed up for this freebie without putting in my phone # and it seemed to have went through.

  9. Tasha

I am an Advocare distributor (mainly for myself not as a business).

Spark will not taste like crystal light. Please don’t expect it to because it will be very disappointing. However, you will fall in love with Spark for what it will do for you. I drink it in the morning in lieu of coffee or in the afternoon when I start to sag. It is like brainfood. It will give you stamina and energy. I love it. I have used it for nearly 10 years. It is the best as far as energy stuff goes.

    Just my two cents worth.

    Tasha

    • Amy

Love SPARK. It has lots of B vitamins in it. Haven’t had any in a while but now I want some. I take ADVOCARE and like it. I don’t sell it b/c I don’t like to come across as pushy but we really like their products.

  10. Jaime

I got one of these samples after the BCS Bowl. They did call me twice but were polite and di not give me the hard sell. And, I will say that I surprisingly liked it! I know people that swear by the stuff so I was curious.

  11. Sandy

I do not give my # if possible and it took it with out. Hope they don’t try and call the 7 yr old # in phone book listing.

  12. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

There is no way to NOT be contacted when you submit this form, because this is what is listed on the form, “By checking this box I certify I am at least 18 years of age and agree that I may be contacted via phone and/or email by a representative of AdvoCare or an AdvoCare Independent Distributor.”

    DON’T DO THIS…YOU’LL REGRET IT!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I just filled in the info using a fake phone number and you cannot get around it…you HAVE to fill in an e-mail address. I used one that I never, ever check. So, they can contact me all they want, but I won’t know it!

    • Mike

      Anon,

Do you use any nutritional supplements or multivitamins???

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh please…don’t start on that. Seriously. I have been there, done that, and don’t want to do it again. Amyway, Quixtar, Advocare, Reliv, you name it, the MLM model is the same. I just don’t think that these types of companies should be advertising samples. It is just a way to get contact info. Period.

        • Mike

Everyone is entitled to their opinion…sounds like you had a bad experience. I wasn’t being negative at all I was just curious. There are people that have no clue what AdvoCare is and this company could quite possibly be the answer to their physical or financial issues. These ads could be an introduction to numerous people and offer a positive life-changing experience then why should a company not try to impact more lives???

  13. Mike

My step-mom called me and told me that there was an ad for a free sample of Spark on here, so I wanted to check it out. Anytime I hear people talk negatively about AdvoCare I feel inclined to speak up. Many people just haven’t heard of AdvoCare. I have been involved with AdvoCare for almost 2 years and it is honestly one of the best decisions I have ever made. I got involved as a Personal Trainer to give my clients nutritional products that are not only safe, but also effective. In today’s on-the-go lifestyle it is essential to supplement your diet with products that will help you stay healthy. AdvoCare is a company of integrity and we have a ton of credibility. We have a Sci/Med Board, which consists of 8 doctors with over 250 years of combined experience who oversee the formulation of our products. One person to point out is Dr. Stanley Dudrick who pioneered and invented intravenous feeding (being fed through an IV). Many of you may have friends or family members that have had their lives saved by his invention.

We also have pro athletes (i.e., Drew Brees!) that endorse our products and DO NOT get paid. They take our products because they are safe and effective to take. They also take them knowing that they will not fail a drug test because we use Informed Choice to certify our products are free of over 196 different banned substances. AdvoCare is the only Nutritional Supplement company in the world to certify the number of products that we do. AdvoCare was also the 1st Nutritional Supplement Direct Sales company to ever sponsor a College Bowl Game this year when they sponsored the Independence Bowl.

Yes- it is a network marketing company and yes I did get a bunch of leads from people visiting this site for a free sample; however, if people tell me they aren’t interested when I call I leave them alone. You shouldn’t have numerous people calling you….one person gets your contact info to follow up with you to see if you liked the sample and to ask if you had any additional Q’s. It took me 2 months to sign up as a Distributor because I did my research and I haven’t looked back since. I have helped people lose 10, 20, 30, 40, 50+ pounds and helped them to lead a healthier life. These products work plain and simple! The founder, Charlie Ragus, took the MLM route because instead of paying advertising companies all this money, AdvoCare gives back $.60 of every dollar back to its Distributors and they put A LOT of money into research and development of the products.

I could go on and on, but AdvoCare is a company of integrity and amazing products which have been life-changing for many people I know. I will continue to impact lives through this company! My website is http://www.AdvocareIL.com if you’d like to ask me any questions or want to see why I get so excited about this company.

  14. Sandy

    Mike,
I would just ask when you call a person and not only ask if they are interested in the product you are selling ask if they have been called before? I’m just asking so you can feel better like when you did your months of research before you signed up for the company.
I have had other companies call and call again (in the past) not saying it was this one I’m just saying that’s why I don’t have a land line anymore (well and for the fact it wasn’t worth it to me).

    • Mike

      Hey Sandy,

No problem at all. I actually do ask them where they heard of Advocare and if they say they’ve talked to someone else before I direct them back to that initial person if they are indeed interested in moving forward with other products. Its not fair for me to swoop in and pick up a customer or potential business builder if someone else has already been talking to them. This is part of the integrity of the company that I was referring to. I do know what you mean though cause I have been bugged by companies as well, but for the most part, I do not bug people if they don’t seem interested. Some people are interested though after hearing a bit more about the company.

      • Sandy

        Hey, Mike,
I wanted to try spari because I do drink crystal light and love it (that is what the note from Collin said I think per startoutsaving). Tasha commented the 9th one that she is an employee and it doesn’t taste like crystal light. well if i ever get it I will see.
I just might have to take the time and check out the site you have interested me more. But that is why you but up your two cents isn’t it and Tasha
Tonight it won’t happen – sick family – this is how i’m taking a break – checking email and the blogs.

        • Sandy

oops I might becaming down with the cold again
          I ment Spark not spari

          • Mike

            Hey Sandy,

If you have any Q’s at all please feel free to email me or give me a call. Spark is formulated to give a person mental focus more than it is designed for physical energy. It does have 120mg of caffeine in it (same amount as an 8oz cup of coffee), but it isn’t loaded with a “proprietary blend” of ingredients like a lot of energy drinks. It says what is actually in the product on the label unlike a lot of other products made my big mainstream companies. Not to say that other companies don’t have good products, I just believe in AdvoCare’s products because I’ve seen what it has done for people. Texas Tech actually did a study on Spark and children with AHDH and on 3/4 tests Spark showed better results than Ritalin when the children took it. This is the mental focus I was talking about. Mid-morning or mid-afternoon and before a workout are the perfect times to take it…I use it 3-4x per day. FYI- I’m not saying that our products treat or cure anything, but I have seen people also get off diabetes meds because their blood sugar has leveled off and improved.

          • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Wow. Funny. I just read the comment that “Mike” left for you, Sandy, and it sure is amazing that the information he quoted about Texas Tech and children is almost EXACTLY the same as the info I got from the Amway/Quixtar folks about some of THEIR products……hmmmmm……wonder why that is??????? My theory is…you want a dose of caffeine, drink a Mountain Dew. It’s cheaper and it’ll give you the “jolt” that you need to get ya through the day! Worried about the sugar? Drink Diet!

          • Mike

Anon sounds like he has had a bad experience with a company.

Anon- please send an email to our Sci/Med Board claiming that Mountain Dew or Diet Mountain Dew is good for you…I would love to hear the response from anyone who knows anything about health and wellness. Like I mentioned, everyone has their right to their own opinion, but please do not bad mouth this company as I have seen it impact numerous lives.

            Thanks!

  15. Robyne

The picture is not the actual size of the packet, which is why it looks like a condom. LOL. I love Spark though! It does exactly what they say it does. I use it to get through my runs.

  16. MamaBear

shoot! i wish i had read the comments first or i wouldnt have even bothered with it!! good thing i didnt enter my #!!

  17. Trisha Keiser

I LOVE Spark! I’m drinking one right now… My brother sells Advocare and they have some really great products. I drink Spark instead of coffee, it give me energy and is good for you too! I wouldn’t be so scared of Network Marketing, most of them are super great honest people who are providing for their family by serving others. Just cause they get paid on commission doesn’t mean the product isn’t good. Anyway… Go Spark!

  18. Sandy

    Anon,
Still not sure if I want the product. I do drink diet soda and coffee. Would love to see the test results on the children. I do of course have an ADHD child and maybe my second to young to know for sure. I will have to keep the price like everything else in mind in our economy.

    • Mike

If you would like a sample, Sandy, let me know and I will be more than happy to send you one along with some literature. I am sticking up for this company and I will not let “Anon” badmouth a company when he/she has no idea the impact this company has had on people and continually will in the future. Fyi- Spark is about roughly $1 per serving.

  19. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You know what Mike…It is really time to let this drop. For one thing, you want me to send your “Sci/Med” department information on how Mt. Dew/Dt. Mt. Dew is good for a person. You know as well as I do that the issue here is the caffeine in the product. That is what Spark has in it and that is what your claims for “enhanced energy” are based off of…the CAFFEINE! How can that possibly be good for a person, especially a CHILD!!

This is just another chilling reminder of how far our society has come: “What are we coming to? What kind of society are we spawning here where everybody has to be artificially stimulated?”

And, that is the usual blah blah blah that comes whenever I DARE to raise questions or controversial statements about any MLM….”oh, he must have had a bad experience with the company….” Honestly….I have not ever, ever, EVER been affiliated with any MLM nor do I ever want to be.

and, btw, did you ever think that I might NOT be a man?

Oh gosh…the little lady has an opinion….OH NO!!!!

    • Mike

My apologies for sticking up for a company that I have seen personally impact numerous lives and a company that I believe in. Do some research on our sci/med board and let me know if you think those Doctors have credibility or not…Dr Pruess wrote the nutrition section in the Encyclopedia Americana, Dr Kraemer is the past president of the NSCA, Dr Dudrick invented the formulation in intravenous feeding and even has the Dept of Surgery at St Mary’s Hospital/Yale affiliate named after him, etc.

      Good luck…Go AdvoCare!
