UPDATE: The Sample offer is now LIVE! Go here and login or register to request your freebie! Hurry!

Tomorrow, January 29th, Pampers.com is offering up a FREE 3 pack sample of Pampers Cruisers with Dry Max! These are brand spankin’ new diapers and won’t hit store shelves until March 2010… so this is one HOT freebie to score! Plus, randomly selected sample packs may include a diaper stamped Team USA and that means that you’ve won a FREE years supply of diapers! Wouldn’t that be awesome?!

I’m sure your big question now is when exactly does the sample go live. Well, at this time, I have no clue. The only thing I’ve heard so far is that it will go live sometime tomorrow morning. I would check Pampers.com immediately when you get up in the morning and then just keep checking back. I’m guessing this freebie won’t last long!

(Thanks, FreeSampleFreak!)

I am really excited about this one!!

  2. Laurie

Why do you post these sort of “comments”? Annoying. Anyone know what size?

    • momwhocares

I wondered the same thing every time I saw her posts… I think she is just advertising her blog when she does that, it would get my attention to click on the link the first few times. 🙂

    • jodi

I think she is just linking back to give collin credit because she found the deal here 🙂

  3. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

  4. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    • The Thrifty Mama

It’s called a “pingback” and happens automatically when someone links to Collin.

      • Laurie

        Thanks for explaining it. 🙂

      • Janel

        Thanks Crystal !

    • Laurie

  23. Toni

    site is down

  24. WendiBrooke

I have watched that darn video too much and nothing about a 3 pack sample with a chance to get a diaper with team USA stamped on it…. .yes I saw the very small print in the video that said samples on 1/29/2010. I have a disabled 2 year old to take care of and cannot sit on my butt all day waiting on this so I lose out again! I do not understand how you SAHM ‘s do it…..do yall sit on the computer all day ,print out all the coupons until no one else can print any and then lets say for example run to publix and wipe out the huggies wpes! Yes, I am jealous and bitter so please tell me how yall do it.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Personally I am a SAHM with a disabled son as well and do not sit on the computer all day! I keep this page up and refresh through out the day and then print for the 3 computers I have. There is nothing stating that you can not print from each computer in your house so if you have more than 1 computer USE it sister. Times are tough and coupons and freebies help!
Sorry you are jealous and bitter…..

      • WendiBrooke

        Please see other post….

    • SavLucEvMommy

I don’t know of any SAHMs who sit on their butt and do nothing, so that comment was a little offensive. Sorry you “miss out”, but no need to attack others. Not very adult of you.

      • momwhocares

Not very adult of her, I agree SavLucEvMommy.

I used to work full time since I was 16 and before I quit my last job I was making as much actually a little more than my hubby. He and I agreed I would never be an at home mom as he had bad misconceptions of it and I didn’t want to be dependant on any man. He thought that I would do nothing all day.
After having problems with so many daycares with my now 9 year old, we decided when I was pregnant with my now 14 month old for me to stay home with the kids – we just had another baby a couple weeks ago. And, let me tell you – staying at home and rarely leaving your home and cooking, cleaning, couponing, paying bills, doing the budget, changing diapers, nursing a newborn, getting up all night to care for newborn, etc.. etc.. is very draining.

I would love to drop my kids off at a day care and have a day filled with adult conversation and a paycheck at the end of the week to look at. But, then again – I can’t trust daycares like I would like to – To add to that; I used to watch kids at my home when I first quit my job and oh the horror stories they would tell me about the daycares they have been through. We eventually moved and I didn’t go back to watching kids.
When thinking of how many daycare are, I put my stress aside and remember why I stay at home. I know there are moms who can’t do that, but you also do not need to judge those of us who do. It is not easy in any manner and if we ever do get to “sit on our butts” it is well needed rest and keep in mind we generally have a child or two pulling at our pant legs to get right back up and yet again cater to their needs.

The only break I get is nap time and that is long gone now that I have a new born. Some moms here do have that and even then it is only maybe an hour or two of peace and quiet with kids sleeping, just enough time to squeeze in a shower, maybe a meal and maybe get a few more things done – like the dishes and folding the laundry with out worring about the kids – unfolding what you are folding and pulling you away for another diaper changing!

    • Mom of 3

Wow! That was a bit harsh and uncalled for. Every mom, who works or not, has the toughest job ever. I stay at home and by making that decision, we know that we are putting ourselves in a very difficult financial situation. But that was our choice. Therefore, I feel it is my responsibility to help my family in any way I can while I am at home. I have always couponed, but thanks to Collin’s help, I have learned new ways to stretch our dollar even farther. I check this site in the morning when I check my email, again at naptime and again after my children are in bed. I only shop once a week and put a lot of time into my planning, my shopping list and my coupons I use. It is a lot of work, but it is so worth it! And no mom who stays at home sits on her butt all day, watching soaps and eating bon-bons. I’m sure there are several other couponers out there who are not SAHMs. Please, don’t judge!!!

  25. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Yeah WendiBrooke thats EXACTLY what we SAHMs do! Sit on our butts all day infront of the computer printing coupons and driving around from store to store. From one mother to another, that was insulting!

  26. WendiBrooke

I am not trying to be mean and thanks Candice , I just need some advice. Thank you 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Not a problem, we all have our days and I know some days start out bad!

      • WendiBrooke

Thank you and have a good day 🙂

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I just wanted to say kudos to both of you mothers raising special needs children. I love working with special needs people, but praises to you all who have full responsibility!! Just know there are people out there who admire what you do. May you be granted patience today and everyday!!:)

  27. Heather

i agree with Tammy that was insulting. Life is way to short to be jealous and bitter over some freebies and coupons. seriously.

  28. WendiBrooke

Sorry Tammy. I saw one mom in publix clear out the wipes and I only wanted 2 boxes and she said a rude comment to me about my disabled child….”Oh I thought the Govt paid for everything for you people!” So I got mad and I am so very sorry to all I offended.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

oh WendiBrooke i am so sorry that happened to you….

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Wendy – That is horrible that someone would say something so cruel to you and I like to think that was the exception to the rule. As far as clearing the shelves, not every woman that “coupons” lives by that rule and I am one of them. If I can get something for cheap or free I get what I need and leave some for the rest. For example at my grocery store this week I can get Cherrios for .90c a box. I have many coupons and there was only 5 boxes left. I took 3 for my family and gave a father with 2 little ones 2 of my coupons to use on the last 2 boxes. For every mean thing that happens out there in this world, I like to think there are many more acts of kindness.

    • Karen

      Hey Wendi,

I run into the same situation of people wiping out the shelves…. I just ask for rain checks! At first it use to irritate me, but then I discovered that SOMETIMES a better deal would come up the next week and I wound up just smiling over the rude person kicking themselves! Just try to think of what a truly miserable person she must be to have that kind of attitude! AND whenever someone is rude to me, I always think of them as the angel atop my Christmas tree. After all, what is a Christmas tree angel? Someone with a stump up their rump! HA! I hope everyone awaiting for the Pampers freebies not only gets them, but wins free diapers for a year as well!

    • MamaBear

whoa, that was rude! she should have let you have those wipes! dont let one stingy person ruin your perception of this crowd! i think i can speak for most ladies on here and say that we like to help each other out! i always look at the comments section before i check on a deal, because there are always hints and tips that other ladies leave. i actually stopped reading a blog because she was ruthless in her tactics and would clean out all wags and cvs’ in her area, and she was rude! but with that said, most ppl on here are great, sorry your day started out sour, hope it gets better.

    • Jen

Hi WendiBrooke……I am a fellow SAHM and couponer! 🙂 Please know that the woman from Publix that made that comment to you, will one day “get hers!” I am a firm believer of what comes around goes around! People like that, we should take pity on for their ignorance (stupidness). The real reason for my comment is this; my 2 yr old daughter can’t wear huggies and I can only use the pampers sensitive wipes on her. If you are interested, I have 12 huggies manf. coupons, 1 target coupon and 1 huggies manf. coupon for wipes. If you would like them, you can shoot me an email at jenshuey78@fuse.net and I can put them in the mail to you! 🙂

      • Denise

See this is why we have the post! For wonderful people like Jen. Thank you Jen.

      • Suzanne

You are a sweet person to make something good come out of this…how nice to see!

      • jodi

        Kudos to Jenny 🙂

  29. Jodi

Well, back to the task at hand…still nothing up on the web site for the new Pampers.

Maybe the tech people don’t start work till 9 and won’t be up till then 😀

  30. Janet

I went to the Pampers Facebook page (thinking maybe they posted something on how to get the samples) and didn’t see anything related to this other than them stating “Every baby is a champion in play, and to celebrate the upcoming Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games, Pampers has partnered with Team USA to introduce new Pampers Swaddlers and Cruisers Diapers with Dry Max, the brand’s new high performance diapers sure to earn gold with world-class “players” – babies.”
    Did anyone have luck yet?

    • Janet

I guess I jumped ahead I did find something on their facebook page it states:
“Although these limited-edition Team USA diapers will not be for sale, parents can request a free sample three-pack of Pampers Cruisers with Dry Max on Pampers.com starting February 12. If this sample includes a Team USA diaper (they will be randomly inserted in select sample packs), their baby will win a one year supply of Pampers Cruisers with Dry Max.”
It’s in the comment that states this “BABIES OF U.S. OLYMPIC ATHLETES AMONG FIRST TO GET NEW HIGH PERFORMANCE DIAPER – PAMPERS® CRUISERS WITH DRY MAX”

  31. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Feb 12th?! Why did people think it was today? LOL We’re all waiting here and it isn’t til then, funny 🙂

  32. andrea

SO WHERE IS THE LINK TO THIS GREAT DEAL??? I READ ALL THE OTHER POSTS, LOOKS LIKE I’M NOT THE ONLY ONE-I ALSO CAN NOT SIT ON MY WIRELESS LAPTOP ALL DAY, I DON’T THINK THAT WAS INSULTING, THAT IS THE TRUTH, 1 COMPUTER OR 6, IT STILL REQUIRES ATTENTION AWAY FROM OUR CHILDREN, AND MY SON IS SITTING HERE WANDERING WHAT THE HECK I AM DOING. DON’T POST GREAT DEALS IF THEY AREN’T LEGIT OR WORTHY TO US PARENTS. I’M ANNOYED WITH ALL THE SCAMS WITH COUPONING THAT TAKES TIME AND ENDS UP BEING A JOKE. I AM ALSO DONE WITH SITTING ON THE COMPUTER ALL DAY AND TRYING TO FIND THE BEST DEAL, MY TIME ISN’T WORTH THE SAVINGS, I WILL NEVER GET BACK ENJOYING MY CHILDREN AGAIN!!!!!!!!! I’D RATHER BE BROKE EVERY MONTH THEN TO MISS SPENDING TIME WITH MY KIDS. IM DONE.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Woohoo one less person to snag a sample! Adios Andrea..Make sure you take your fabulous attitude with you..:)

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Maybe you should be spending the morning learning not to type in all caps and the difference between wondering and wandering. Just saying.

    • Amanda

Andrea, you need to settle down. No one expects you (or is demanding you) to sit at your laptop all day- that is your choice. If you took the time to do a little research, it says on the Pampers facebook page that the sample isn’t available until Feb 12. Everyone makes mistakes (yourself included), so cut everyone a little slack.

As far as you not thinking the comment to Wendi was not insulting, I STRONGLY disagree. I have a developmentally delayed son and no, the government does not pay for everything for “us people” and even if they did, there are those that would choose to be self sufficient. There’s a reason why mothers almost everywhere teach the saying “if you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all.”

Couponing takes time to learn, and just like everything else, there are people/companies who will take advantage and try and scam you. You have to be able to discern what is a good deal from a scam, and if you choose not to learn, fine, but please don’t attack those that would attempt to help others by posting deals.

I do hope you have a good day with your children and enjoy your time with them. I cherish the time I have with my boys and would not trade it for anything.

    • Toni

      Andrea,
I am personally glad that you are done. We do not need your negativity. Collin has saved us all a ton of money and I am very grateful to her. BTW – no one said you had to save money, if you want to be broke then that’s your choice.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Now don’t you forget Andrea that when you sign on and leave a comment that you sigh on as anon. lol geesh you got up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. We have all been waiting to snag this deal but we don’t get all bent out of shape that it’s not happening today. Yah alittle irritating but that’s just part of the couponing game…

    • SavinMaven

Nobody likes to waste their time. Perhaps it would be helpful to know the source of this deal for confirmation. I saw it on a video on the Pampers website. (It’s the Drew Brees video on the home page of Pampers.com.) So, it is real. The info here is pretty much the same as what’s on the Pampers site.

It’s a 3 diaper sample and, essentially, a sweepstakes entry. If it’s worth it to you, check back later. There is no official start time, that I can find, and the site will probably be slammed as this offer is all over the web. Websites sometimes have hiccups starting promos. This isn’t a deal I’d sit at the computer waiting for because it isn’t worth that effort. I’m sure someone will post here when there is more info. Maybe check back periodically.

      Best,
      SavinMaven

      • SavinMaven

I watched the video again after reading about the facebook promo. There is small print that reads sample available 1/29. Maybe there are different offers going on.

    • Chantel

seriously this is my favorite blog! i love all the comments!
      diaper drama rules! lol

  33. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

For a Friday there sure are a lot of unhappy people out there today!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Couldn’t agree with you more. Smile people! Life could be worse. We could be living in Haiti and not have anything!

      • Janet

AMEN Anon!! I think sometimes people here in america can sometimes forget how fortunate they really are. There are worse places to be and circumstances to be in. Be thankful for what you have and enjoy life the best you can.

  34. Nikki D

Wow- what is going on this morning? Everyone have a rough night last night or what!?

  35. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    No kidding geesh!

  36. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

wow im sure Collin doesnt need all this negitivity towards her… if you arent going to be nice dont post anything! some ppl are just so rude!

  37. Christine

You don’t have to take time away from your children to save your family money. I get up 15 minutes earlier than my family and go through my favorite sites (this being one of them) and get my deals for the day taken care of. No time taken away from any of my 3 children and in the end I have all the time and LOTS of extra money for my family!

Thank you Collin for your hard work! It makes it so, so easy for me to save my family money.

  38. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I guess rude and unhappy comments like the one above, can be taken in different approaches. First, the person needs to vent out and this just happened to be the place and time. Second, you are choosing to do this on your own time, and making the decision to feel like you are taking time away from your children it’s your choice. If after voicing yourself out, this made you feel better, more power to you. All I can say about blogs like hip2save, is that Collin does not have to do this for anyone. She chooses to do this, and enjoys it. I am so thankful for people like her that have opened my eyes to the frugality world. As a result, I personally, see my children incorporating all my knowledge for savings as well, and it makes me so happy how something can continue to be good all along. Overall, if this was a bad morning for you, then I hope it gets better, but it wil not ruin other’s people’s mornings since I believe most of us are so appreciative of the many updates that we get each and everyday.
Thank you Collin you are doing a wonderful job.

    • momwhocares

I agree – Collin allows us to have our own opinion. I like that about her blog. I hate those blogs who delete posts all the time because the owner of the blog doesn’t feel that it is something she agrees with. Then it is a biast blog.

But, with that said – I think it is ok to state your thoughts, ideas, suggestions, feelings etc… but please avoid attacking people on this blog just because you had a bad day. It really is unfair to the person you do not know anything about – we are a community of people – mostly moms – who have one great thing in common. And that is we go on this blog to save money for ourselve sand family. We should act like adults too – give a little more respect and maybe we’ll get it too.

So, yes feel free to vent that you are mad at wasting time coming to that link over and over again – but do not attact others in this community – including those who are venting as long as their vent is not a personal singled out attack at a member of this community:) thanks.

      • momwhocares

oh and pamala and I not meaning you – when I said “you” in my post. I meant it as a generalization

  39. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

It is Friday yeah!!!! Happy weekend everyone and I hope we get our diapers…if not, there will always be another deal !!!

  40. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Be happy for the heads up on a deal we didn’t even know existed… How are is anyone suppose to know that a deal is legit without first testing it out… and if they test it out first, by the time the deal gets posted, often times the deal is gone or unavailable. We can be very thankful for people who choose to tell us about a possible deal so that we may have the chance to get in on it and don’t keep the secret. If we don’t get in on the deal…. we lived yesterday without it, and I’m sure we’ll get through today, and if we don’t… we didn’t need it anyways :-P…. life is to short to be upset about a deal :).

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Amen, sista!

  41. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Where’s this attitude of entitlement coming from? Nobody’s making you sit on a computer all day. I’m sure most of us periodically check deals throughout the day. You win some, you lose some. You need to find a way to balance your real life and your couponing. It doesn’t have to be all or nothing. This does, however, mean you will sometimes miss out on certain deals and you have to learn to be OK with that. On the other hand, you got to read your son his favorite story or teach him how to write his name. Twenty years from now, you won’t remember missing a free diaper sample.

    • Mandy

I agree. When we were little, my mom used to say “Will it matter in five years?” I use that every day to think about what matters to me.

  42. SavLucEvMommy

Seems like, and this is just my opinion, that those of you whining and complaining about missing out on time w/ your kids are actually wasting MORE time leaving mean and negative comments on blogs by someone trying to save you money. B/c of blogs like Collin’s, I am saving 60-70 percent off my grocery bill, which enables me to pay for ballet, cheer, and gymnastics for my kids- and let me tell you, they in no way feel unloved or neglected.

  43. Melissa L

I just find it amusing that people are actually b**tching about other people b**tching. LOL And about diaper samples. Wow.

    • lora

I agree….lets stick to the topic at hand people. The Diapers!!!!

    • momwhocares

Yeah melissa – that couldn’t be what you are doing. lol – just being funny

  44. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

everybody breathe… and smile… now go and enjoy your day. sample or coupon or not but life will still go on.

  45. Stephanie

    OMG the drama. Seriously.

  46. Melissa

So is it Feb 12th then? I guess that makes more sense if they are tying it in with the Olympics.

  47. Jaime

This was under the notes section on Pampers Facebook Page, so it looks like the sample doesn’t start until Feb. 12th.

Although these limited-edition Team USA diapers will not be for sale, parents can request a free sample three-pack of Pampers Cruisers with Dry Max on Pampers.com starting February 12. If this sample includes a Team USA diaper (they will be randomly inserted in select sample packs), their baby will win a one year supply of Pampers Cruisers with Dry Max.

  48. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Well since it’s not until Feb. 12th anyone care to join me killing time at Olive Garden for some “free” lemonade? We can hit a few Publix stores along the way and clear out some shelves!

    • Jamie

I will join you for sure! But first we need to sit around on the computer ignoring our children and doing nothing all day 😉

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Of course! We can leave them home while we go…Who else is going to hit F5 all day while we are off being horrible mothers? 🙂

    • SavLucEvMommy

      ROFL!

    • Maria

LOL! Thanks for the laugh ladies I needed it.

  49. Kelly

Hello to all! Collin I am a fan of yours for sure! Have you ever heard of the saying “If you don’t have somthing nice to say then don’t say anything” Need I say more? Try adding to someone’s day like Colin does when she shares her information instead of taking away from it. As parents we all have to juggle our schedules. I am a mother of a five year old and three year old twins yet I still take time out of my day to try and seek ways to save money for myself and my family so that we can SPEND TIME doing other things.
