"Follow You Monday" Publix and Target shopping!
Alright, so as most of you know, I was in Florida over the weekend and had a blast! My “Follow You Monday” giveaway winner was an awesome reader of mine named Sarah! She was a fantastic sport throughout the filming process (and it took hours and hours). Plus, she put up with me and that says a lot! 😉 Thanks, Sarah!
Today’s “Follow You Monday” two part video is mostly about Publix shopping. We also go to Super Target, but as you’ll see from the video, Publix takes up the majority of our time—which was fine with me! I’m in LOVE with Publix and I think you will be too after watching these videos!

I just love Publix they are the most friendly store when it comes to coupons. The video’s were so encourging my husband mouth dropped when he seen how much she saved. Thanks again for the video’s..

I’m new the whole coupon-ing thing and new to your site. This is my third week and I am not sure that I’m doing that great. I get so disappointed each time I go to the store (Publix) b/c I’m not sure I’m doing it all right and get a bit stressed…. BUT I noticed last week that for the first time – I saved more than what I spent. I paid $114.00 and saved $117.00. So I think that’s good – right? Confucius says: The student becomes the teacher. 😉

I love my Publix as well. There is no “coupon drama” when you get ready to check out. Publix has the MOST caring, supportive, and friendly staff from the manager to the cashiers. I have not been to one Publix that treated me any different. Awesome shopping trip Sarah!!!

I love PUBLIX too. People work there are friendly and nice, stores are clean and very organized. However,I used to be able to find coupon booklet in PUBLIX , but these day its so hard to find it….
PS Don’t laugh but next episode (or someday) can you teach us how to be organized with our coupons, etc?

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!!! I totally just emailed Publix and asked them to bring a store to Utah (ha ha). C’mon Utah readers, start emailing, begging for them to bring a store to us. That was incredible, and a store that encourages coupons, sounds like heaven. I get so nervous to use my coupons, because the cashiers and stores here are so not coupon friendly!!! Great job Collin!

We do not have a Publix yet — but they are building one about 15 minutes from my house — I can’t wait! Thanks for the lessons on Publix to get me prepared for the new one in town!
Loved all the Tampa videos. As I sit here mopping my floors I can’t seem to shake the feeling that we as Tampa readers let you down a little bit. We should have told you which restaurant.com restaurants were good to eat at. We should have helped you with good hotel deals. Thank you and your sister for taking the time to come down here and do this. I’m a dedicated commissary shopper but now I think I’ll give Publix another try. A small suggestion if you do this again. Maybe in the weeks leading up to your next location you could start a poll or a post about where your going and get readers suggestions for the best restaurant, flight, hotel deals in the area. You give us so many great deals we should give them to you when you come to our town. Thank you. Tasha.

Dang… I visited FL once on a vacation and it was so hot and humid I wasn’t sure if I’d ever go back. After seeing your savings I told hubby we are moving there just to save on groceries. Holy smokes. Can’t believe all of that was $3?! That is AMAZING. I think if hip2save lived near a Pulbix, they’d be continually paying HER to buy their groceries. WOW.
I just wanted to tell you Collin that my 4 1/2 year old son LOVES to watch your videos!! He tells me to put them on all the time!! And of course, I love watching them too!!! Thanks for all you do!
My son too! He’s 5. He always sneaks in the room when I watch these. And he remembers them! LOL. They love Publix because kids get a FREE cookie at the bakery!

I know Sarah said she got 4-5 inserts – Collin, how many inserts do you get? 5? 1 for each member of the family? How many papers do you subscribe to or do you just run out to get more only on certain weeks? And most importantly, what do you do with all those Rolaids?
When I buy something that I don’t need, it’s simply to get the overage. Then I donate it to our local food bank. They aslo assemble toiletries for their clients!

You need to convert them! Show them receipts..show them your stockpile! It took me 10 months to convince some of my family to start…now they make great couponing buddies!
Amazing! We don’t have Publix where i live in Rochester NY area. I wish we did. Our two major grocery stores are regional. We have Wegmans as our major grocery store. That is one awesome savings you girls got there! I wish we had a Publix. I hear so many great things about it! Great videos. You are such fun to watch.
I am a local (Tampa) and would love to shop with Sarah! Wow, I am just learning to coupon and I know I could learn so much more from her. Publix is absolutely my favorite store! Thanks so much for that Follow Me Monday! I learned a bunch and already printed out my Kotex coupons and the game coupons to save big!
Oh my gosh Collin, your videos are such a riot to watch! I have watch them when the kids are in bed and my husband’s not watching tv, because I keep bustin’ out loud w/ laughter. My husband is beginning to think I’ve flown over the coo-coo’s nest! My girls, ages 7 & 10, are really catching on to couponing. They recognize your voice and come sit next to me when they hear you. You didn’t know how entertaining you were did you? You’re just so “you”.
I’m going stir crazy right now watching your Publix video. I live in Michigan, and my mom and sister are in Fort Myers, FL for four months – right across the street from a really nice Publix!!! I’m ready to pack up and move south!

I just had to share! I used Collins target deals plus the Totally Target site and hit up target last night for some deals! After it was all said and done (I got a few things that were necessities and not necessarily with a coupon) I spent
$59.34
Got two $5 gift cards
and heres the kicker I SAVED 93.45!!!!
I had $63 in coupons HAHAH! I LOVE TARGET! 🙂 Now if we only had a Publix in PA :)

Great videos! I haven’t been to Publix lately because Walmart seems to be so much cheaper, but this video inspired me to go back and see if I can do as well as you guys did! Publix is such a pleasant shopping environment too, I love it!

Just an FYI as a Publix employee…. Most Publix’s will only let you use 1 $5.00 off $25.00 competitor grocery store coupon, (some use it after all your other coupons have been used and the total is still $25.00 or more) also if you have a competitor coupon for money off an item and a Publix coupon for money off you can only use 1 because they are considered the same coupon. Every store’s manager has their own coupon policy so dont be alarmed if one stores policy is different than the next.
