WOW! It’s a pdf and doesn’t expire until 4/30/10. Nice!! Yay for free cheese! 🙂

    • Adrienne

I thought the PDF was odd (shocking), too! 😀

  2. Jeanette

This one might be hard to redeem- printable free coupons don’t come around very often.

  3. Heather R

it wont load the coupon on my computer

    • Heather R

i had to do it in another browser

  4. Melissa

This is a pdf coupon. I was wishing it was a bricks so the store would be more likely to take it.

    • Ashley

I looked under “Coupon Jargon” but couldn’t find PDF. What does PDF stand for?!

      Thanks!!

      • abby

PDF stands for Portable Document Format. It isn’t coupon jargon; it’s the file format. You have to have Adobe Reader (which is free) to open them. It’s a way of formatting your file (or Borden’s in this case) so that it will look like you intended it to no matter who opens it, or on what system, even if the person receiving the document does not have the same program that it was created in. The reason it’s odd in this case, I’m assuming, is that you can save a pdf and print it an unlimited amount of times. If you have the right program, you can even edit it.

        • Ashley

Thank you Abby! Did I mention I am also technologically challenged?! Now I understand. I get why people think this could be abused. Also gives me some insight on why stores do not want to accept them as easily as others.

  5. Lacey

didn’t load on my computer either…and it won’t let me go back. This is an awesome post, but Borden’s site stinks! LOL! I was really excited. Oh, well! : )

    • Lacey

Well, I got on another coupons and got my coupon. Yeah! That’s weird it is a PDF.

    • nicole

If you can’t open the PDF, try pressing the Control (ctrl) key while clicking on the coupon button. It will open it up in another tab or window. Sometimes it helps.

  6. Betsy

Got one, thanks! I go through a lot of cheese so this is great.

  7. Cheryl

I’m gonna try this out tonight on some string cheese. Hope it works.

  8. Bonnie

can someone post the link to the free pdf. I filled out the survey and the page was gone before I could get to my printer!

  9. Barbara

I’m a little worried about my store accepting this…

  10. Mike

Free coupon in PDF format? I don’t see this ending well.

  11. Renee

Uh oh, this is going to get abused as it’s a PDF. I am not sure any of my stores will accept this, but I will try one.

  12. savinmama

I’ve never gotten a coupon for a free item… are they difficult to redeem??

    • Rei

free coupons beep when scanned b/c the cashier has to enter the price. Because this coupon looks photocopied (even though it isn’t) some stores/cashiers might question it.

  13. Joelle

I know – I wish it wasn’t PDF too . . . Walmart is the only place that sells it where I am and I doubt they will take this coupon. I think I will email the company and see if they will send me an origional in the snail mail.

    • Heather G

My walmart take the pdf coupons

  14. Andrea Thompson

I got this in the mail.

  15. shannon

    Yay, PDF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  16. Ashley

do you think walmart would take these? I know most of the “grocery” stores I shop at will not take free internet printable coupons

    • missdeally

I’m disappointed in the pdf too. I was hoping for one of those bricks mailers. Publix doesn’t accept free IP’s. This looks like something I could have made myself. It screams ABUSE ME. I’m not hopeful on this one.

      • Rei

I’m surprised it’s a pdf coupon too. I have a feeling my store is going to question it! …I think I might have to pass 🙁

  17. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

my stores will only redeem a free item coupon if I get it in the mail, not printed off the computer… 🙁

  18. K

You need to have tried Borden Cheese to answer the survey plus they don’t sell it in my area so it would be impossible to redeem. Thanks for the heads up anyway.

Does everyone have the same bar code? 553000 000018 and 0053000-051660? I’m figuring a free thing of cheese with each visit!

    • Christy

I have the same bar code as you.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I have the same bar code as you… all the SAME numbers! So………

    • A.Marie

If anyone redeems this successfully today, will you post and let me know? I’m not going shopping until tomorrow afternoon, and this coupon just screams “trouble!”

    • Heidi S

      I have different numbers? 🙂

    • Tallymomma

Different first numbers same last numbers.

    • Heather G

Same bar code here too! Hopefully walmart doesn’t give me trouble…they didn’t give me any trouble on the free granola bars, though.

  20. Christy

I have a hard time redeeming any free coupon, including the ones the company’s mail to you that are obvious they aren’t fake. I don’t know about this one. I will try it and redeem it at Walmart, they are the least likely to scrutinize it. You know, the funny thing is if you go to the website that prosecutes coupon fraud, they warn that no companies issue PDF coupons…Umm…helllllo, they do! More often than you would think too!

  21. Christina

This is not going to end well at all…..I will try to use it and report back, but I don’t have a good feeling about it. I tried to use a printable at walmart once (for free salsa) and although I did eventually get it, it was a HUGE hassle

  22. Randi

thanks! I know publix will take it!

  23. JOlee

    Does wal mart take PDF!?

    • Heather R

i think it depends on your cashier, i have had some they do other say they cant. i email bordens hopefully htey will mail me one incase i cant use it

  24. Sue

People saying free cheese with each visit are exactly why most stores will not accept a free internet printable. I am not even wasting my ink, Wal-mart and our local grocery stores will not accept this coupon.

  25. danielle

yea, this isn’t going to end well, those of us who will only try to get 1 free pack or maybe 2 might be able to use it..i normally buy Borden’s, so if it works, awesome, if not no big deal, im gonna buy it either way…but someone will try to get 10 or more for free all at once and then get upset when they are told no, and may ruin it for everyone.

good luck with this one everyone.

and don’t take advantage of Borden’s…pdf may have been their mistake, but don’t use it to try and get a years supply of free cheese in 2 months.

    • Joy

I agree with not taking advantage of Borden’s. Borden’s is one of the few companies whose profits go back to American dairy farmers because they are 100% farm owned.

      • Christy

        I second that!

  26. Sonya

I am going to try mine tomorrow at Wal-mart. I’ll let you know how it goes 🙂

  27. LisaM

going to try walmart, the other grocerys stores will not take coupons like this anymore.

  28. Susan

Albertsons and Vons told me they don’t take interent printed coupons that are for free items when you don’t have to buy anything else to qualify for it.

  29. Taylor

Thanks Nikki and Collin! I love cheese, but we are on a very (intentionally) strict grocery budget right now and just don’t get a lot of it! This coupon is incredible! Yum!

  30. mare

I so love cheese and to have a great coupon, well that’s just great! Now I hope that my store will take it, if it does I’ll let you know here. 😀 Thanks for the heads up!

  31. Shahina

yup same barcode on mine too….I love free cheese! hopefully the stores honor the coupon.

  32. nicole

Marsh, Meijer, and Kroger will not take printable coupons for free products. BUT, Target does. yay!

  33. Laurie

Anybody know what stores carry Borden cheese? Didn’t see it at Walmart when I was trying to redeem the free one that came in the mail.

    • nicole

Target does but I always (at both of my local stores) find it hidden next to the pork or chicken. The rest of the cheese is further away.

  34. Jen

I printed a few. I used the sunbelt ones today that were bogo coupons that were offered awhile ago in PDF and they took all of them.

  35. Joe Money

All stores around here don’t take free item coupon from internet . Even brick one.
I want free cheese…but I’m not brave enough to try it .

  36. Brooke

I’d love to hear back if anyone tries to use this today. I am headed into town for my bi-weekly shopping tomorrow, and would love some free cheese. Just curious if it is worth the ink or not.

  37. Ellen

Wish I had known it was a pdf – not sure if any stores around here will take it. I guess I’ll give it a try though – all the store can say is ‘no’.

  38. Sarah

A PDF for a free item? I highly doubt I’ll be able to redeem it.

  39. Jen

I contacted Borden and she was going to email me back and let me know

    • Nicole

Awesome Jen! Let us know what she says!

      • Jen

I will send the info through when and if i get an email back. I am assuming I will since this could be major on their part.

  40. Keri Smith

I don’t know what I did….but when I opened the page to print the coupon, it let me print multiple coupons……I’m sorry, but I’m being greedy, but gonna give some to my family.

  41. mkw

oh man. . . pdf. What were they thinking? At my local grocery store, I held up a line and had two managers and a checkout clerk carefully examining my salsa coupon (legit). I felt like a criminal. This will take an act of God to redeem.

  42. Tracey

I’m making a run to Target tonight so I’ll try it and report back! Wish me luck!

    • Tracey

OK – just got back and I could not find the cheese, however my cashier was so nice she would’ve taken ANYTHING! Just spent $8.57 and saved $27.07. I took advantage of the Hasbro game cards! Yay!

  43. amberly

    Bummer, its a dead deal

    • Stevie

      dead how?

  44. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The deal is no longer available!

  45. Ashley

The survey is now closed!!! I think they are catching on to the possible problems customers have been voicing. Hopefully they will fix it!

    • Shellie

I hope it moves to a Bricks or a mailer. PLEEEAAASE…….. None of my stores will take it.

  46. Kari

    DEAD!

  47. deb

omg collin thank you so much. money is so tight right now and you are a blessing. thank you for being such an a wonderful and kind person.

  48. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    yup, DEAD.

  49. alicia
