This week Rite Aid has all St Ives products on sale B1G1 Free – including the $.97 Travel size! That means you can use the 2 $1/1 coupons to make this a $1 money maker! I coupled this deal with the Huggies diaper deal like this:
Buy 2 packages of Huggies diapers at $8.99 each
Buy 2 St Ives travel size lotion at $.97 (B1G1)
Total with CA tax = $20.60
Use 1 $5/$20 Video Values coupon
use 2 $2/1 Huggies Video Values coupons
use 2 $3/1 Huggies coupons
use 2 $1/1 St Ives coupons
Total after coupons = $3.60!!
What a great job putting that deal together! Wish we had Rite-Aid. We are really need Huggies (down to the last 5 diapers)… suppose it will be Target today for those.
Those travel size items make awesome gifts for girls. I bought some cute zippered pencil cases that look more like make-up bags when they went 75% off. I’m always on the look out for “beauty” products to put in them.
Shoot, didn’t get it in Madison, WI.
didn’t get it here either would of been nice
I guess I am at a loss for these! 8-( I FORGOT to get a paper y’day, CAN’T believe I FORGOT and then my neighbor did not give/get me the insert for the latest paper either like she usually does. So!….maybe I can still get a hold of one. I need to figure out a way to get more papers. The Starbucks thing has not worked out, for going and gathering up their leftover papers, etc. Those folks have not cared to get back w/me! Grr..But, oh well, just having one of those mornings! But I will be on the lookout for more coupons for trial-sized items b/c of our trip coming up in May. I remembered from the last time at the airport they kept some of my stuff b/c it was full-size and not trial! So, I will be ready and prepared this time! 🙂
Aww. You could always buy the tiny refillable plastic bottles (I’ve seen those at the Target travel size section) and fill them over and over again; that’s what I do for travel.
Target seems like the place to be lately 🙂 LOVE it!
My Target still refuses to take coupons for travel size products, despite there being no size limitation on the coupon. The register always beeps and says “no product for this coupon”. Ugh! Just not worth the hassle anymore!
I have the same problem at my Target. However, it isn’t because they are travel size it is because they are LESS than the coupon is for and they won’t reduce the coupon down. If the travel size item is over a $1 then my coupons do work. I think it is because they are below the coupon amount.
Have you ever taken the coupon policy with you? It states that if the coupon is for more than the product they’ll just reduce the amount of the coupon so you’ll get it for free!
I went today to buy the St. Ives and prescription. After a 20 minute episode, discussion with 2 managers and a call to corporate, I got the lotion! Not worth it at all! One of the managers told me they had a meeting and they decided they can not take coupons that beep. After calling corp. the other manager said that Asset Protection tells them not to take any coupon that beeps ( that would just about include any coupon I ever give them.)
Then she said she would make sure everyone knows the policy including Asset Pro.
to lower the coupon amount. After I use my gift cards, I will remove my prescriptions and not shop there anymore! This is the 3rd problem I’ve had there and just not worth it.
Last week I went to Target and bought a bunch of trial sized stuff with coupons but when I went today the cashier told me that the store had a company meeting and will no longer accept coupons on any trial size items. NO MATTER what the coupon says. She said that the manufacturer was sending back the coupons and wouldn’t give them money so they are changing company policy.
I live in Orem UT and there’s only one Target in the local area. Very frustrating!
The same thing happened to me with the buddy bars and those are not trial size. I just don’t have an hour to waste explaining to them their own coupon policy every time I go shopping there. They are going to lose alot of money in prescription money when we transfer all of them but that’s what happens when you treat coupon shoppers as the enemy!
I was told by my Target store manager on numerous occasions, “Target does not carry ~Trial~ size items, they carry ~TRAVEL~ size… which means all their items are not excluded unless the coupon states TRAVEL size”, I am in Florida, and if I were you I would email target corp, and have then email you back with the answer and carry that email with you.
They’d just push these through at my (very coupon friendly) KS Target, but no such coupons in my paper 🙁
got em!!! good lookin out thanks
Worked for me, but not Apricot Scrub! 🙁 Got the Oatmeal & Shea Butter Body Wash instead! 🙂
I sure hope my local T has plenty in stock. For those of you who’s T refuses to take q’s for travel size items here’s Target’s Corp # 7-800-440-0680. I’ve called several times and each time they tell me we most certainly can use q’s on travel/trial size items as long as the q states no size restrictions. They recommend calling from the store and they will speak with the manager and straighten out the misunderstanding for you.
Publix has the full size st. ives products on sale for 2.50, coupled with the 1.50 off coupon makes for a sweet deal.
got the deals also, but no apricot scrub at my target either
I didnt have the coupon policy on me like i should have but the stupid cashier and manager wouldnt let me get it bc it was under 1.00 and the coupon exceeded the cost of the product..such bs! They thought I was “stealing” from the store, ugh!! They’re so ignorant…i don’t understand y they don’t realize that this is what coupons are put out for–so ppl could use and also they get paid back by the manufacturers! they make me sooo upset and last time they almost made me cry bc they humiliated me in front of other customers..!
I’m new to couponing (but im addicted already). Today I had my first “situation” with a cashier at Target. I was getting several travel size items along with some other things. My first mistake: not scoping out a good cashier. Anyway, I went up to the register. The cashier was a sweet looking older lady. I smiled and said “Hi! How are you doing today?” She didn’t smile back and just said “fine.” She scanned all of my items, and then I handed her my stack of coupons. As soon as I did this she looked at them and said “I can tell you right now it’s not going to accept these for the travel size items.” …I said “well, maybe we can just try anyway.” ….she scanned one and said “see, it’s negative.” I continued to tell her that I had used these coupons on travel items in the past at Target with no problems. To this she just shook her head….So I said “Do you think we could get a manager over here, and I can ask them?” She called the manager (who was a young girl) and told her about it. The girl said “yeah, that’s fine. you’ll just have to do it manually”…so they started entering my coupons one by one and I saw my nearly $40 total drop to $4. I apolagized for the trouble and smiled. I gotta say, I walked out of that store with my head held high. Collin was so right about sticking up for yourself. I just had to share this story because it was a real confidence booster for me. Thanks so much collin!
Here’s my only travel size experiences to date at Target. The other day I bought 4 travel size Tide which are .97c and used 4-of the $4/1 tide mqs with no size restrictions. The teenage-ish boy scanned them and they went through without a hitch. Today I bought 4 more at a different Target and the cashier – young girl – scrutinized the coupons a bit more. I noticed she looked a little irritated but said nothing and adjusted each of the coupons down to .97. So it seems to be the luck of the draw sometimes…Overall I had a good experience at Target today buying the Sobe water, the Toy Story dvds, and the Bop-It game. Pretty good savings…. : )
Love It! I got one body wash and one scrub. I was going to buy two scrubs b/c the coupon value is $1.50. I went for overage instead. 😉
