That is a good coupon! Thanks for pointing out the exp date. I noticed in the fine print it says 5 coupons per household allowed:)

I received this one in the mail along with a $2 off any Gerber apparel or bedding. My walmart had 3 packs of Gerber sleepers on sale for $2.50. Scored 1 for .50 cents. Not my daughters size but will make a great gift.

Thank you so much!!!! I was going to buy some stuff for my friend that had a baby couple days ago and thought I would check your site to see if there was any diaper deals. and I’m glad I checked it before going to walmart!

has anyone actually used gerber clothes before? i was reading the reviews at Target.com and several people said all the clothes shrunk AND the sizes ran small….

Gerber baby clothing runs about half a size smaller than most of the other brands. As long as you know that, their zip front sleep and plays are great! When you’re still doing the middle of the night diaper changes it’s really convienent not having to fumble with buttons in a nightlight lit room while you’re half asleep. I would just skip buying the 0-3 month size and go straight to 3-6 month, unless your friend has a premie/very small baby.

The fabric of their onesies (haven’t noticed it with the sleepers) is thinner and not quite as soft as some other companies. It’s not an extreme difference though, or one that would make you think “wow these are cheap” when you take them out of the package. I didn’t even notice it until recently when I had a Gerber’s white long sleeve onesie hanging right next to a Carter’s one. They’re still good for wearing under jumpers, overalls, etc. especially for the price.

From what I’ve observed, all the brands of baby clothes are sized a little differently. My eight month old daughter was/is kind of tall and skinny so the Gerber sleepers actually fit her the best – I just bought a size bigger than what she was wearing and the legs were long enough without the body part being way too wide. All of the Circo brand clothing seems to run short and wide. Old Navy and Baby Gap generally seems to be long and skinny. The sleepers of Carter’s main brand seem longer than their Wal-Mart and Target brands (or maybe the less expensive materials shrink more…?)

I ran to our local wal-mart tonight, and unfortunately they’ve quit carrying Gerber products (aside from baby food / formula). Just a few weeks ago they had a whole aisle of onesies, sleepers, etc. and it was totally gone today. Replaced with Gerranimals brand. What a bummer!

Just my opinion but I would never shop for clothing at WM-they are so poorly made & look very cheap. I want to invest in clothing that will serve me well, season after season-well-made with good materials. I’ve always done great with sales in Stein Mart(my fav), Marshalls and TJ Max. You get name brands-quality at a low price.

That thought process makes perfect sense for adult clothes but babies grow out of things so fast it doesn’t make sense to me to spend a ton of money on her clothes. I want her to look cute and be comfortable but I can’t see spending much on something I’m going to give away after she’s only worn it for 2-3 months. Plus, even though I try to spray everything with a pretreater before I drop it in the hamper, sometimes I don’t get a chance and stains set in (babies are messy!). I’d be a lot more upset about things getting ruined if I wasn’t such a bargain shopper (whether that means name brands on sale, clearance, second-hand, etc. or for Walmart or Target brands).
