ToysRUs, I signed my daughter up and she has yet to recieve anything!

Hey – that happened to us too! I had signed him up when he was first born – nothing for the first two years I think! (However, we were very wary of buying too much stuff when he was really little so we weren’t at Toys R Us very often at all). I eventually called their customer service number and told them we filled out and mailed in our info and never got a thing – they re-entered our info and we have gotten stuff every year since (fingers crossed!). Try giving them a call – good luck!!

              • Christy

I’ve re-submitted the info a couple of times and still nothing.

Build A Bear also has a birthday program. My son got a $5 gift card in the mail last month for his birthday.

Last year when my daughter turned 1 she got a crown and a balloon. It was cute to see her ride around in the shopping cart playing with her balloon. Every kid loves balloons!! The gift cards and discount coupons were great for birthday shopping because they send them a little in advance. My older kids take the gift cards and put it with any money they get to buy something that they didn’t get. I can always plan on a shopping trip to Toys R Us after every birthday.

I LOVE the TRU bday club! My kiddos bdays are 3wks apart so we get the gift card and party planner and $5/$25 coupon back to back. Makes it much easier if they’re having a great deal, I can use the coupons both at the same sale, in seperate transactions, of course!!! 🙂 Yay me!! lol

We were at Denny’s restaurant a few weeks ago and on the back of the kids menu it had a form to fill out for a birthday program they have so I sent the forms in and the envelope was sent back saying the P.O. box was closed. Denny’s does give adults a free Grand Slam breakfast on your birthday. You have to show your I.D. to get it.

My husband and I had a great, FREE birthday celebration last year. Our birthdays are three days apart and the free coupons we received from Red Robin and Coldstone were both valid for the week of the birthday. So we had a wonderful free lunch followed by amazing free ice cream. It made for a great afternoon out – like giving a free gift to ourselves. Gotta love birthday clubs!

My favorite free birthday club is from Lofthouse cookies. They mail you a coupon for a box of free sugar cookies and they are the BEST!

Benihaha offers a free meal on your birthday (up to $30) if you register for “The Chef’s Table.” They’ll email you a certificate for use during the month of your birthday. I got one last year (hubby and I LOVE Benihana!) and I believe I got a free dessert, too! Their most expensive meal is around $34 but the average price is probably around $24. Very entertaining chefs, too!

I wish I would have known this about a month ago…my son just had his 2nd birthday. Oh well…he is signed up now; as well as my daughter!

          13. angie

We didn’t get any gift card from TRU for my son’s b-day last Nov, don’t know if has now changed or what. We did get the card/party planner and 5 off 25, all we got when we brought the card to the store was a balloon.

          14. Krystal

Signed my son up a year ago. Last week he got a birthday card in the mail that included a $5 off $25 purchase. I much rather would have had them include a $5 gift certificate instead, I don’t like the idea of sending my son in a store and saying “Hey, pick out something that’s $25”. We don’t have that kind of budget for birthdays.

Great American Cookie Company gives you a big slice of cookie cake.

Longhorn gives you a free dessert! We got the sampler last night. It was yummy!
